Keyboard CM10 vs Keyboard CM7 - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What do you think about these 2 keyboards? CM10 is more pretty and smaller which gives you more space on what you are doing.. but it is too damn small while cm7 is a bit bigger
although I've been 1 day using the cm10 and I think Im getting used to it since I turned to cm7keyboard and I found this one too big!
can someone say me if I can install the cm10 keyboard in my cm7 rom?

look in the market for jb keyboard

For me its ok and better the keyboard of cm7

[Q] why ics??

hi guys!!
another stupid question is coming.. please don't insult me too much
i'm using the latest fuzz cm9 build on my defy+, and i have to say it.. it's perfect! no bugs, pretty smooth, wifi and 3g working fine and stable..
BUT still a lot slower than cm7.2!!! really nothing comparable! i'm not speaking only about quadrant score (that is pretty close 1800 vs 1950) but on the daily usage i can feel really the difference..
speaking about battery i got almost the half of the time...
so i was wondering... why should i install ics/cm??
ok gmail and the gallery are way better.. i like also the long press home button! but does really it worth?
i'm not questioning on our beautiful developers work!! i'm just trying to understand why everyone is so happy with ics!
thanks guys!!
There is no answer for that, it's up to you why you would/n't use it. For me it's good so I use it, I have no reason why not.
Well, I think cm9 is officially still on Alpha stage at the moment. So its still not fully optimized.
thanks guys!
i'm just trying to understand if ics has some new and exlusive features! because i've tryed it and i couldn't find anything new.. it looks good for sure
I found out the hard way that you cannot export your systemsettings, data and all apps from GB to ICS, so if you switch you should take into account that you have to start from scratch.
Or you can simply use Titanium Backup . No loss of apps and data.
Trimis de pe Defy CM9
I keep trying all latest roms.... but still love the stock rom (Defy) for its stability and smoothness.

I use TB, but after I imported my GB settings, ICS got stuck in a loop. Also not all apps are compatible.

[Q] Questions about miui, cm7 & the battery

Hi boys, im coming from wr 1.6, well to be trustly ive switch it coz the battery, in only 7h of use, 2%.. well now in pikachu .20b, do u think that its better than wiui?
I feel the menus & keyboard a bit laggy, the touch screen very unresponsive and 3g speed a bit slower... but idk if the rom or the miui base, anyone can help me with dat?
Other thing its my battery, it never charges at 100%, the indicator shows 100, but if i check better, the max mv plugged about 24h varys between 4130 and 4164, and when unplug.it automatically 4098.
ONLY 1 time shows 4200, but this happens me with stock, cm7 and now miui, the better values was with stock and cm7, 4200 and 4180.
And the screen its very untesponsive with miui, its really hard to type or scroll, or eveything that touch includes, fvck
Thx

Sorry, I didn't mean wifi calling. I've seen a lot of messages that voiced their concerns with hooking into wifi, especilly in the US. I am on a prepaid plan with TMobile and I need reliable wifi to download programs and all since I don't have data. So I want to upgrade from froy to a custom gingerbread custom rom and I need to know which is the best for my needs. I am a noobe so I'd like to get it right custom the first time.
Thx for any info you can share

should i update to ics

i want to ask u guys if i should update to ics
becuase i heared that honeycomb was better than ics
and ics is full of problem
such as the battery drain , some lags and many problems
is that true or what
and is updating to ics better than honeycomb
I have contemplated going back to Honeycomb many times, even as recent as last week, I've been trying to assess what features I'd miss from ICS and Jelly Bean (I'm using CM10) and apart from a few 4.x and up only apps, there's nothing to keep me there other than the "want" to be running the latest and greatest, I know some people say they had issues, but I don't recall having any when using Overcome 2.3.1 ROM and jumped ship as there was not going to be anymore development.
There's nothing stopping you from upgrading and going back to HC if you find that the grass, isn't greener.

had that thought a couple of days ago, as well.
what keeps me going from JB to HC are the superb notifications, UI performance, google now, multitasking menu, FOLDERS. Though 3.2->4.x is more of a shuffle, than a huge leap, I still prefer to have something more or less latest and improved on my device

Has Anyone gone from Task 14 to the stock ICS?
Is It worth doIng or should I just try to get Jelly Bean goIng?
Or shOuld I stick with what wOrks?

Just a quick update, I've moved BACK to honeycomb, Overcome 2.3.1 to be precise, just for a bit, to see what I'd miss.
The fact that there is no lag in videos is a big big plus, and using adw launcher gives the smoothness of ics (big leap from the last time I used it).
There are little things like, Google now and as someone mentioned before, the notifications, but having completely lag free video playback is a blessing to have back again.
I'm going to stick with it for a few days, then test the official ICS, then CM9 and make an informed decision of which is better pros and cons etc...

Well i was with hc 3.2, i did the update ota to 4.0.4 ics
I love it, its more fluid, faster, looks better also.
I only root my tab, i dont play with the roms and stuff so to me its just a question of staying up to date.
As for problems, the only one i got was about the flash player not working anymore and this was fix by dl the flash player from market.
I think at the end, its up to u, make a backup, try it and if u dont like, go back.

Not for me. I think it might be cause by the fact that u have too many apps running at the same time.
Try to install advance task killer, it will help ur tab to be faster

So far, for me and my little experiment, I have fired up YouTube after each new ROM and after the tab has settled down with updates etc, the honeycomb ROM produces no stutter at all, just fluid video, as soon as I go to ICS or higher it appears, however on JellyBean ICS 7 (i think that's what it was called) it is there, just much less of a problem compared to the others, but I still have to try CM9 to conclude the testing.

To be honest, I am using AOKP JB and I did not see the lags you are talking about.
Yes.
I updated to ICS about months ago, i really liked it, it's interface is kinda like the S3, except in tablet mode.
I didn't really see any battery draining problems, the battery was just like 3.1 or 3.2, so i suggest you update.
I used the official rom from sammobile, just search this on Google : P7500JPLPC_P7500OJPLP8_XSG.zip , and take the link from hotfile.
I've tried a few roms and the best HC from was from Task650. I then went to CM9 which was pretty good and stuck with that from for some time. Task650 then released a modified official stock ICS, this rom was very stable and pretty much bug free. JB was released and went to pershoot's CM 10 experimental, was also good but was buggy and experienced a few crashes and non working apps. Because of this I tried Tryptosyll's AOKP JB from and things didn't improve much better. The JB roms are great and credit is due to those developers but I'll wait until a more bug free JB rom is available. I've always been a fan of Task650 roms so went back to Task650 ICS, but development of this rom has not been as as active as his previous excellent roms. Right now for me the best rom for my tab is Craigtut's Fourth bar:Revolution ICS rom, again based on the official stock from. It's heavily modified and I find it to be the fastest and smoothest rom and is pretty bug free for my tab. Also there is no lag in YouTube and no battery drain issues. I am currently running this from with the latest Yoda kernel with CPU running in interactive mode and over clocked up to 1.2GHz.

Best ROM for Le 2 in 2019

Hello!
I am searching for a stable, fast and updated ROM for this phone. Most of the ROMs I've seen have a lot of essential bugs and I want a ROM in which there are no problems with basic features (camera, battery, screen, hardware buttons, IR remote...). Is there any ROM like that, Android 8+? Thank you.
I was tested pie and 10 all different ROMs... But now I came back again on lineage official version 8.1 with addon from lineage.
better battery life and the device does not overheat
La oficial con las pie , mucho temperatura y gps por lo general deja de funcionar al usar por tiempo prolongado.
I'm looking for a stable rom on oreo or below that's still supported. It seems like pie has problems with the camera that's still not fixed, guess I'll try out lineage oreo

Please send the results here, I need Android 8, but don't want to risk losing battery life, camera quality, GPS or anything else.

OEM skin/software

Are you comfortable in your own skin? Is your phone comfortable in its skin? Rate this thread to express how you deem the skin on the Redmi Note 9. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it adds just the right amount of features, it's visually pleasing, and overall it's additive to the experience. If this is a Nexus phone (you didn't think we hand-wrote all of these prompts, did you?) then use this rating to indicate how the latest version of Android looks to you.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
MIUI, looks pretty gorgeous ootb, not very customizable, but has a dark mode at least thanks to Android 10.
Still installed Hyperion as I prefer it.

Just add CPL (customised pixel launcher) - dials back so many of miui's excesses

Man you should try evolution x or Havoc OS instead of pixel experience they are pretty good and totally based on pixel experience, they are a very customisable version of pixel experience you'll love them too....
Yo también estoy esperando alguna Rom personalizada tengo muchas esperanzas en ello este terminal da para mucho más y una rom basada en AOSP lo haría un terminal muy completo.
Hi!
