Thank Sean, after clear cache I got the android upgrade screen , after upgrade tablet still not rooted>? any other option?

Try and flash CWM 6.0.1.0. without auto reboot ticked, then boot into recovery according to post 325 and there will be an option to fix root. It happened to me too

If you have cwm installed, just flash a rooted rom. I had the same issue when i rooted mine. I figured every rooted rom has su cooked in.

TWRP Install over CWM6 for P3113 Galaxy TAB 2 7 inch

I can't seem to find a link for the version of TWRP that will work on model P3113. I have CyanogenMod 10 Rom JB 4.1.1 with Clockwork Mod 6x.
Can I even install TWRP over CWM6 and can I do it in Mobile ODIn Pro? I have that installed.
I also have Goo Manager and cannot figure out why I cannot find or download TWRP from there unless they do not have a version for my Model or that ROM/Kernel?
I am new to the forum so I cannot ask questions yet in the developer sections which is starting to get annoying since I had one or two threads I could have asked this question on.
Thanks
Use goo manager to install twrp.

Just wanted to try it. So this brings me back to my first question. Is there a compatible version for the Samsung galaxy tab 2 7 inch running cyanogenmod10 latest nightly build?
I Google searched and searched within Samsung forum. I found a version 2.2.1 but I think it was for a hero touch

I just thought about what you said that cwm recovery has nothing to do with ROM but according to the guide I used it said I had to use a cwm version 6 with JB. so that is why I mentioned the ROM version because it was based on JB. So would you not think it does indeed play an important role in choosing a compatible recovery?

Developers or tutorial writers list the recovery because thats the one they preffer / use themselves, but most of the time, it doesnt matter which one you use!!
Btw, the reason they say to use CWM6 with Jelly Bean, is because CWM will automatically stop JB from erasing CWM and returning the stock recovery,
but even if you flash with lets say CWM5, you can still remove the script that will undo CWM, but you will have to do it manually (it's an extra step)

Bootloop on 4.2

I was running cm-10 new 32gb Nexus 7 and decided to update to cm-10.1. It flashed fine but when I reboot it wont boot. If I flash again it boots fine but it doesnt matter how I flash...when I reboot it just goes into a bootloop (google black screen).
Please, any advice?
Sounds like the download is bad. Try downloading again and use adb to put it on the Nexus.

I rooted with the Tool Kit and the version was 4.1.1. After I rooted and unlocked, I flashed cm-10 stable. Used it for a while and everything was fine. Last night I flashed like 4 different ROMs with the same result...bootloop after a reboot. I noticed on the first ROM, when I finished the setup and rebooted. Should I go back to stock but with 4.2 using the Tool Kit and then root again?

Yeah I would see if stock is doing that too. If so it sounds like something wrong with your device not the software.

I have TWRP and this bootloop only happens on 4.2 ROMs. 4.1.2 runs fine, and I flashed it afterwards to see if it is the tablet. It Reboots fine with 4.1. As far as factory reset...I rather flash clean, so YES I did the full wipe.
Thx for your replys guys. I really appreciate it.

What version of TWRP are you using? You need to be on the latest for 4.2 roms. 2.3.3.0 I think.

I do have 2.3.3.0, but guess what....I found the problem! I was flashing M-kernel because I read that that kernel is great for playing games. Since I have a whole bunch of games, I decided to flash it. All the ROMs I flashed...I flashed with that kernel, and it booted fine. My issue was at reboot. Every time it put me on a bootloop. I just finished flashing grouper-M1 from CM, did my setup and rebooted, and booted fine!
Imma do some more reading to see if I can find a good kernel to run with cm-10.1.
Thank you daviac!!!!!:good:
Edit to the previous post and maybe it will help others:
The problem was not the kernel...IT WAS THE BOOTLOADERS version. I had to upgrade bootloaders. With adb I flashed the image and everything is fine!
Reading is fundamental...and I've learned my lesson!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Xparent SkyBlue Tapatalk 2
There is a disclaimer before installing M-Kernel or probably any other kernel, that states that you need to be on the latest bootloader version. But it's ok, its best to learn from mistakes right?

All,
I wanted to share with everyone that the TWRP recovery that was made for the wifi note pro SM-P900 "Exynos only" works on the Tab Pro 12.2.
Original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706982

Very nice! So it works just fine? It makes sense just cause its the same everything inside. Did you use cf auto root to root? I'm going to be getting my 12.2 in about a week!
worked for me using cf auto root and twrp for note pro.
the problem is not much custom roms to pick from for the 12.2
True, I am pretty okay with the stock rom. I wish someone would just debloated stock.

No, that won't work for t321 (3g) version. Actually, it will erase your stock recovery and install an incompatible one so that if you factory reset you get stuck in "Cannot boot normally" mode.

2. I cannot find a good way to root after upgard it to lollipop. :crying: :crying:

well...
1. I will, even it makes me so sad because it was the major function of the pen.
2. previously I followed the instructions in this video youtube.com/watch?v=hUghV16l9d8
Make sure you have done a clean installation of the ROM. By clean installation I mean make a full wipe, from TWRP (a custom recovery), go to Advanced Wipe and select everything except your external SD, in case you have one installed. Then flash the latest Lollipop ROM via Odin. The latest stable LP ROM I found to be OF3, so get that from sammobile.com.
And root can't be more easy. When you are done flashing the stock ROM via Odin just place this zip on your phone, https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip, reboot to recovery, which will be TWRP (and after flashing the stock ROM you will have to reflash TWRP, cause flashing stock ROM always installs the stock recovery), and just install the zip from there, done.
