I wiped and did factory reset. Installed. Completed and reboot stuck on cyanogen (mod) screen. Pulled battery and restarted and the same stuck at the same place.

Sounds like you are only testing still. Unless you want a Development thread full of flaming asking for features, source, screenshots, then no, it don't belong there. Not to mention credits for all the devs whose work you used must also be posted. I don't know who you asked but they weren't a mod or they misunderstood you.

EDIT: sorry for the rudeness but as it is not a so called "release" yet i didn't plan on adding credits where need until i post screenies and what not... if users want to flame me for bring a contribution then so be it, i am not a baby and get pissed cause they claim i am posting in the wrong section however all is done and said and moved so i feel what is said is fine and finished thanks

Why should he credit? I gave him permission he's my friend. He can do whatever ill help him on it. Ill give the facts and everything in a bit. it works pretty fast on the shift so I hope y'all enjoy pm me in you need anything and why was this thread moved? I can link features for him.

He should credit because it is XDA policy and the decent thing to do. It doesn't matter if he has permission or not, failing to credit someone else's work is not looked upon kindly here.
The thread was moved because there was no documentation as to what was included, who did the original work, and whether or not it even works.
Asking for testers is not a full release. Public Alpha with proper documentation will probably sneak by.

Rules are rules, period! If you tell him he doesn't have to pay taxes, should he listen to you, or should he follow the law (rules)? Rules are put here for a reason, if we don't abide by them, this whole site would be much worse off... and fyi nobody cares if you left before, if you can't follow rules, then bye, and don't come back! You obviously don't know what I put up with over on xda evo shift development. Just sayin. Wasn't being mean in the first place either. I was simply stating its one reason why I left. No fyi is needed either and laws are laws rules are rules there's a difference I wasn't hating on this rule even if I said its one reason why I left. How did I state it mean? Also I don't see other sites worse off. I see a lot of respect. I got a lot of disrespect here and almost every 2 days someone asking for an update or something like " bluetooth still not working going back to cm7 " you know its like people expect so much out of me. That's really why I left. I get it constantly anywhere.
Back to topic, yes this rom is ics no its not sense. It does have working keyboard lights ( at least on my shift ) roaming indicator is broken may be fixed in port don't know and video camera is broken also may be fixed dunno.

I'm patient too never wasn't with htc. I have a LG Spectrum 4G LTE now and love it. Not going back to htc cause they are just too expensive now when I got the spectrum brand new for 50$. Lol @ the morphine thing and I was more than glad to help. I didn't mean in any way to sound harsh. I mean I love to release stuff and see people enjoy ( fingers going num on evo shift keyboard at this point ). =)

I bet as long as megaghostgamer is cool with it, its fine, but bfitz26 should when he posts it in dev. Just because it shows where it came from and who gets credit. I know if I help people, its nice to see them credit me. I make sure to credit everyone who helped me (or at least I try to get everyone I remember). If you don't credit people, its technically plagiarism (unless its obvious, like obviously I didn't make htc sense, I just port it from htc devices). People assume if no one is credited, either a: you did it all by yourself or b: you're just taking all the credit.

I officially give up in the vibrant. It seems like the big devs gave up due to Samsung fail. I enjoyed the run tho. Will soon be switching to AT&T when they get a phone equal to the EVO 3D or just a Dual Core HTC phone...preferably with a ffc. If AT&T doesn't come thru, EVO 3D it is. No more Samsung phones for me. I learned my lesson with this one

1.) This is vibrant general. So that's why I have to derail u on the "wrong section" tone that u have. That's what they made general for.
2.) I am unsatisfied with the hardware defects this phone has as well as tmobiles service. How do u pay the same amount as someone with 4G when u only get GPRS.
3.) I've had a better experience with HTC phones due to exclusive CM dev support for my phone as well as other HTC phones. Honestly it doesn't take a whole bunch of lag fixes to get it running likebits supposed to. My mytouch 3g w/ cm5 oc at 574mhz didnt lag like this phone. Don't get me wrong, this is a sexxy ass phone but not happy with it no more

That's what a forum is for......constant unecessary flaming here has caused devs to leave xda. Why u think they all have their own forums? Try that same stuff in the cm website forums or teamwhiskey forums and I guarantee u, ur voice wont be heard becuz the MOD will delete it.

this thread is useless....its almost flame-bait. what was your purpose behind starting this?? to gain an anti-vibrant following in the Vibrant General section? To send a subliminal message to the devs that they are not producing up to your standards??

I'll hold on to my Vibrant for a while (2-year contract, bought it at launch).
2.2 gave it new life and I'm happy with the phone right now, bugs and all.
Example #1 on why devs left xda. People like u like to 1-up others to make urself look good. This post don't have to have a purpose. Please click the back button if u don't like it.

I actually agree with TopShelf. If you want to leave, then leave. Even Eugene, who is one of the most influential devs for this phone, never bothered to create such a pointless thread. Most of us realize the power of the Vibrant with a few mods here and there, thanks to the wonderful devs that have acutally contributed to this community rather than ***** about it.

I generally don't chime in, but if you gave up on the vibrant, that's your choice. We don't need a post about it though. If your running sammy software than you haven't unlocked the potential of the phone. I've run most of the mods available and most of them have made the phone 10x better than stock.
Cyanogenmod is a brand name. It isn't automatically the best. I just drove a 2200 mile trip. I have the vibrant running bionix with overstock (and I under clock it to 800 mhz because it's still perfectly smooth), and my wife had the g2 running cm7. Wanna know something? I could pick up 3g signals in places she could barely keep edge.
Vibrant for the win.

I've seen plenty of threads where xyz member posts that they're leaving. Some members will be missed, others, well, others = who ?? anyhow... it clutters up the forum quite a bit when members keep repeatedly posting that they're leaving. If you're leaving, please just go and stop cluttering up the fora w/ "I'm leaving because I got butt-hurt"...

DUDE the moment was defected from the manufacture why do you think their was so many complaints that led to end of the production. which we(including me and rest of smart people) got the FCC and BBB involved.
It had so many lock-ups its, data lockups to be exact and was a dangerous product.
Nothing was stable. POINT BLANK

I had no problems with my moment even gps worked properly with 2.2. I rarely had data lockups. Only problem I had was the keyboard had small buttons.

Ok here the deal. I got turbines for my birthday and I loved them. I was on top of the world when listening to music through them and then suddenly the right ear has non existent bass and is AT LEAST half as loud as the left. So i tried them on my evo, zune, laptop. Same result. Then after Googling I found out apparently it happens to peoples turbines... a lot.
So what do you guys think I should do? Get a refund? Or get a new pair and be headphone-less for a month (apparently that's how long it takes to get a new pair.). Also if I choose a refund what pair of headphones would you all recommend?

Are you so insecure that you resort to name calling? Yes, quite a few people blatantly post dumb crap. Doesn't mean they should. And doesn't mean I and others shouldn't report them. Otherwise, this forum would soon become a cesspool of spam and junk. I simply PM'ed a mod to get this thread moved to its correct location. Its called being helpful, you might try it sometime.

I may be a noob on XDA, but at least I can read. You, on the other hand, can't. This is Evo 4G General forum, not Monster turbines forum. Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the Evo 4G. There is an off-topic forum on XDA for a reason. Go use it. Or use the General Accessories forum whose forum description reads: For accessories that involves multiple phone-types. Car-kits, headphones, cables, chargers, extra batteries, replacement screens, sources for connectors, etc.

Has nothing to do with being insecure. you have nothing better to do and I'm sure the guy uses this as accessory for his EVO and people are always asking about their accessories in these forums like many have pointed out to people like you if you wanna be a mod put in a app don't be a db and go around reporting crap cause you think it doesn't belong and deff don't be a snob and come out right saying I reported blah blah blah like your **** doesn't stink if people want to help they will if not they won't and it will fall to the back quickly.

And if you read any of those threads, you'll notice that usually on the 3rd or 4th post, other people did the exact same thing as me and realized that those topics had nothing to do with the Evo 4G and said so. Take your own advice, if you don't like it, go somewhere else. This is the Evo 4G General forum, meaning stuff in general for the Evo 4G. There is a forum for completely general topics. Use that if you have a general thread to post.

*sigh* The OP is not trolling or anything, so let us move past this and go on with life. The EVO General section is filled with random things, as are other phones' forums.
I see it as this: Q&A is for EVO-specific questions, Accessories is for EVO accessories, Development for EVO development, and Themes for EVO mods and themes. General is just a nice place to hang out with other EVO owners and ask general questions.
There are a plethora of topics that could easily be moved to other sections, but there isn't a real drive to. I don't see a point in requesting a move to another section unless somebody posts in the wrong phone forum (like EVO 3D question in the EVO 4G section) accidentally or in the wrong topic (like a question in development). And only report if a thread has fallen to the trolls or if someone is ridiculously offensive.
Come on. No harm no foul. Let's get back on topic and help the OP out. His posting here wasn't malevolent or anything.

I don't get caught up on grammer and punctuation that much, but yes the Atrix forums can be a different animal from the rest of XDA at times.

I agree that some take it too far then again if the admins were on top of things this wouldn't happen.
Xda has become popular. Its the source of many good ROMs. I wasn't around during the winmo days, but I assume those people were hardcore and the original flashers.
You can thank android for making xda popular via websites such as phadroid or droidheadlines or anything with the word android in it that link xda. "You can activate hspa+! But not through att but xda!"
So wheres the next xda type site so we can shove a stick up its ass?

Atrix board is a lot different than most boards. The amount of forum police here is astounding. Most people can't report and move on. They have to add a flame for some unknown reason.

While I wasn't here during the winmo days, I can say the overall discussion on this site has been nosing down toward negative. Not just in the Atrix section, but all of the sections I visit.

i feel what your saying, but not everybody on here act like that, i try to help when i can even if their new to the atrix. I've ran across a few that tried to give me a hard time when i was only asking a simple question, you just gotta put them in their place, even if you gotta snap on them, they'll learn not to mess with you.
Im on the fence here because I do come from winmo and my HTC Fuze where there was tons of help. You could say I was a flash whore back then and I did it within the 1st 24hrs of owning it because people seemed to give me clear instructions and not point me to a link that conflicted with another link or set of directions.
I now am going on a week with the new Atrix and am getting close to unlocking it with very vague help and nobody seems to take a look at exactly what I am saying or my concerns but just push me somewhere else. So I guess it is help but it seems like getting pawned off onto someone else in hopes they will give me a direct answer...
Props to XDA and its legions of devs and what you guys do but right now I feel exhausted with this phone...

Ive tested 2 builds of aokp so far, from a guy on Twitter. Neither booted. Got a black screen with the batt icon in upper right. Hoping Jared keeps up his work so I can have something that boots but I'm also hoping on some more aokp builds to test.

Its gonna be a while before CM9 comes along...Cyanogen is known to take forever...but with good reason, they are some good Devs. With that said Jared is making some pretty nice progress with his ICS ROM

But the problem is we should not have to wait for CyanogenMod to release CM9. We have several talented and dedicated developers right here working tirelessly around the clock to bring us a stable release, and other don't want to see this happen.
I was waiting myself for CM9 but I got to thinking. Why should I wait, how long will I be waiting, what am I missing out on right now by waiting? With all the question floating around I took the plunge and flashed JTG ICS. Now I only have one question why did I wait so long to flash?
His rom is my daily driver. I do not live in a 4g area, nor will I ever get 4g (main reason I jumped Sprints money hungry ship), so that does not matter to me. Everything else works the way I need it. Its fast, snappy and responsive.
JTG has put a lot of time and care into his rom and for whatever reason the "other powers" that are out there cant look past petty differences and move forward and continue to provide for the community. I mean its not like the Evo is brand new and has every dev crawling hand over fist to dev for this phone. We have lost devs left and right. I for one am grateful for the ones that have stayed. It does not seem like others are as appreciative as me.
Reading back on that last paragraph it seems that the "other powers" are the Steve Jobs of XDA.

Imho there should be No reason to NOT let someone use your work UNLESS your trying to make money off it which last time i checked is against the rules to begin with.

Well tweaking a kernel would mean he would need to comply with GPL himself which I don't remember him ever linking his public git repo for source. Hell on rootzwiki right now he doesn't give it either.
Now its easily found via Google and has the branches there but not linking to it in your OP violates GPL in itself I'm pretty sure.
And I don't get the whole rootzwiki movement some make either. Have fun with less ppl giving you feedback on your stuff. If that's what you want in the end then do private versa and be done with it.

JTG beta 4 is the closet to a fully functioning rom. It has some minor lag at times an a couple of fc here an there but its a solid rom if u don't mind ffc an camcorder not working. Been running it since it was given out to some an its solid. Combine it with a viper mod tweak an its a daily to me. My only issue is that I don't think HA is fully functional, no offense to jared, as I can tell the difference on my girlfriends ics captivate compared to the evo version. It was pointed out when everyone started attacking jared about the gray background vs black in the settings if HA was fully function which I can clearly see on my girls captivate

Like I said...Jared has made great progress with his build of ICS, whether its is built off of someone else's or not, he's made some nice tweaks along with Mazda. I'm using Beta 4 with Mazda's tweaks and this **** is off the chain! I mean fast, stable, no force closes that I can remember and 4.5 is on its way? Jared is the only one I have noticed that actually Updates his ROMs in a timely fashion. Deck is still on alpha 5 while Drew is on preview 6 and been that way a while now. I say go with Jared because he's doing big things out here!!!!
I agree Jared is the real deal.I think its funny that for me haters Rom was the only ice Rom to make it on my phone for more than 30 mins. Hell decks I didn't even make it past signing in
