Application packs(ICS & JB)/packing tutorials - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Hello to all.
I wondered if anyone has come to this conclusion but I think there should be a specific thread about this:
Many users(most of them enthusiasts) want to run ICS or JB in their devices but when they flash the ROMs they find that it doesn't have some essential programs(such as file manager, zip manager, etc).even if they want to restore their previous android back, they can't because they have no access to it...
So I've decided to merge(my only craft)some apps into CWM flashable files and share them here...The links are at the end of the post...
Any interest???let me know...
I forgot one thing...Don't forget posting your feedback here...
NEWS:Titanium backup has passed the test OK and will be included...the next build will be available very soon...
Issuesolaris office and google chrome don't work in jelly bean...Chrome was tested in ICS and was OK...Polaris on ICS test remaining...
Instructions:After downloading these packages, place theme in the ROOT of your sdcard(the internal storage is called sdcard by android) and flash them right after flashing the ROM...

One click rooting method in less than 2 minutes

Root your phone without unlocking the bootloader. How? A new application called UnlockRoot does it all for you! Literally, all you need to do is download the UnlockRoot.exe, run it and enjoy your new rooted device. I can confirm that it is 100% working and took about 2 minutes from start to finish.
All you have to do is connect to your computer, enable USB debugging which is accessible through Settings>applications>devlopment>USB debugging
open UnlockRoot.exe and click root, after that it should take the comp. 1 min tounlock then 1 min to reboot then voila you have it rooted! You will then see the superuser app inside your app drawer. I recommend you to download busybox and titanium backup to have full control on your device. I've just rooted my xperia play and my wife's arc s using method. Both of them are running v2.3.4 so this should work on lower versions.
If there will be an instance wherein your device didn't reboot automatically, manually restart your device.

I checked out the site and it doesnt say compatible with Xperia PLAY or any SE phones for that matter. Plus I am already rooted and unlocked bootloader. The site looks a little questionable like maybe the software could be virus filled. I dont know though. Only way to find out would be to try it, and for that I have no reason to. IT show support for the Kindle Fire. Anyone try it?

First of all that is not my site and i'm not a spammer. I only posted this method in two different forums, the other one is in the android general hacking tips. The only reason why i mentioned the site is because i'm having problems uploading the unlockroot.exe launcher in this thread. As you can see,i'm only a new member and i don't usually start threads. I'm just trying to help because i had a lot of frustrations using other rooting methods. I have a descent job and i'm not gonna benefit in spamming so don't accuse me. I just felt very excited to share this method as this worked like a charm for my xperia play. I'm not forcing you to try this so ban me if you feel like doing so.

I noticed that too but trust me,it worked for my xperia play and my wife's arc s. Both of them are running the latest android v2.3.4 that's why i'm very surprised that it worked. Other rooting methods didn't work for that version so i resorted to doomlord's method but i'm having problems installing the adb drivers as i'm using windows7. I'm so happy using this method because it's very safe,no need to unlock your bootloader. Best regards!

I'm curious, why not post directly to their site, instead of a link to a file host?
No, offense, but if you post directly to their home site, it makes it seem a lot more legit than just posting a link to your download account.

Sorry bro but i already did that when i started this thread. I just edited my post because that d31boy guy is accussing me of being a spammer and just promoting that site.
When I see a brand new poster posting a link to relatively unknown website for use of an unknown exe file, it's hard not to be suspicious. I mean, you obviously know the benefits of root and you know your way around this site. The site has absolutely no mention of how the root is applied (which isn't your fault provided you don't have an affiliation to the site ). It's a pretty big leap of faith.
However, I may have jumped in a bit too quick on this one. It would have been better just to report the post and allow a mod to make a more informed decision. For that, I apologise.
All this method is, is the zergRush method with a different name...
Here's what I did (quick run thought of what i did, attached screenshot for reference)
Downloaded it from the OP's post (http://unlockroot.com was running at 2000BYTES/SEC)
Installed it on my XP partition
rebooted, went to my linux partition
Mounted XP Partition
went to \Program Files\Unlockroot\tools\
Copied rootutility to /home/myusername/
adb shell rm -r /data/local/tmp
adb shell mkdir /data/local/tmp
adb push rootutility /data/local/tmp
adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/rootutility
adb shell /data/local/rootutility
and got the attachment

There were privacy issues with that rom. After this was pointed out, after the next update, more sites had been added for data to be sent to.
Have you checked out the DianXin rom on Xda. Much better in my opinion.
To the above poster get your facts right about DianXin rom was using it on my nexus one and several others reported the same issues i found regarding to privacy like lewa os.
The lewa os rom i have linked above in my previous build contains a privacy fix and not data will be sent to the devs so people worrying about that can be assured BUT if you update the rom i am not sure if the fix will be a stable one thus leading to devs of that rom gaining your info

Wow Kannibalism, thanks for that welcome. My facts are correct in that Lewa was sending info off the phone. There is no mention of privacy issues or fixes in your post so I see no harm in making people aware. You only mention a privacy fix in direct response to my post.
I'm not here to cause issues but I don't understand why you had to respond as you did as if it was your rom I was warning against.
Anyway thank you for the dianxin warning as I was unaware of this. Can you provide a link please so I can have a read and block whatever I can?
Sorry if my post offended you in any way i did not have intentions to do so my apologies mate. As for the pricacy issues in dianxin i will need to find the link again and post it here

Is there any chance you could raise the question of privacy in that thread as I can't post there. At least then, we can get a direct response from the rom developers as the op is a moderator on the dx site.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1479188&page=6
well after a few hours i tested the dianxin rom due to me not using the rom for quite a few versions now.
the rom was tested on a zte blade and nexus one since both have the rom available for them to make use of. Both the blade and nexus did not have any privacy issues like the ones found before regarding a chinese application my friend is willing to keep the rom for another day on his blade to make sure but so far so good i will post any findings good or bad tomorrow to let you guys know
@davidoff59
once again i apologise if my previous post offended you in anyway mate like i said i did not have the idea to offend you in anyway.

posting guides that you've clearly taken from posts elsewhere on the web or even here on xda, passing them off as your own and brazenly pleading for people to hit your "thanks" button is taking the piss.
You've posted guides on rooting, forcing OTA updates, and now installing flash player.
All of these were available elsewhere first, none of the work is your own, and nowhere have you acknowledged the original source of your guides.
Its called plagiarism....either stop posting, reference the original source, stop pimping for thanks or I'll report you to the mods, ok?

WOW....I try to help people and this is what I get, being accused of "plagiarism" First of all I don't copy others post's and secondly how dare you come onto a thread I created for the better good and to help others and you come on here and attempt to give it a bad name? I worked hard on my posts I try to make them as understanding and as easy to read as possible. My OTA update post I created that because JB had only just come out and not many people knew how to get it, I checked there was NO thread as to how to update it there might be now but when I posted there wasn't. Same with my root guide it contains links to files I put together no-body else did, I did. And as for the post on Adobe Flash yes that might have been more known of but it still is a useful piece of information to know. Whats wrong with asking for thanks if you have done something to help others? It doesn't cost nothing and it is just a simple click, it helps to build ones reputation. Please do know you facts next time. Go search I even dare you and find posts that have the same information I put up but before I posted them. MyPhone.gr an online Greek mobile support forum has used several of my posts. Did they give me credit? No they didn't. Do I care? No I don't as long as it helps others I don't care if others use my posts. Please don't come onto my posts again with no beneficial information and accuse me of this and that. I will have you reported.
Good day to you,

Alan,
I dare Pal.
You post other people's ideas and work and claim it for your own. You should at least reference where you got your information from as its clearly not your own.
The least you're guilty of is being too "unimaginative" to Google and to see that (amazingly coincidentally) there are already almost identical posts already on XDA or other forums (posted before yours) containing your guides.
The worst you're guilty of is claiming the credit for other people's work.
So what's it to be, incompetence or dishonesty?
ps. I welcome the chance to exchange some date-stamped links with the mod. The evidence won't lie > this one posted on 15 July is almost identical to the post you're claiming the credit for yesterday the 25th http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774336

Greg, I wouldn't mind if he just said "hey guys this isn't my work, I spotted it elsewhere, thanks are due too xxxxx" but he just passes stuff off as his own. Its so blatant and he's very pushy on the "thank me"s. I spotted his other threads before and ignored them, but this one is just too blatant and too much, I had to say something. Hey guys had this idea to help upload to different sharing site like mediafire or devhost where downloads dont require proprietary subscription to premium accounts. To help all those who cant get download from hot file(eg.China),those who cant get OTAs and all those who dont want to flash a rom everytime.Contributions of the community are helpful.Feel free to paste the links of ur backups to this thread and I'll inturn update the OP.Zip ur nandroid and split with jsplit(free app google it) and u can even upload to dropbox or any other non premium account site(idea inspired by Samir_a).To post u must follow the order of:Country, carrier, build number, version& any other. If u havent all the info post at least country and android version.

[ROM][7.0] AOSP nothing, xda cant follow ww rules.

As XDA is not able to follow world wide rules and every mod make his own rules, this forum is not the correct platform to publish stuff. I can understand now why all the bigger groups made their own servers with own download areas and left xda.

Hi, I tried that but it didn't work Say's that SU binaries are not installed.
I used the boot.img from Nagasaki ROM to boot into TWRP, could that be why it doesn't work?
I did that because I don't have access to the twrp.img file. The download link for the thread here on this forum has been down for a couple of weeks now.
Can I use whatever trwp.img file or does it has to be a specific for the Z3+? And also for a specific Android version (i.e. 7)?
Anyone who could send me/fix a download link for a working twrp.img file?
Thanks in advance
