Thanks both of you, but I don't have options "Wipe Dalvik cache" and "Wipe battery stats", how can I get them?

Both of those options are found under 'advanced'.

Do you have Talk or Play Store? Keep in mind that most of the Google apps are now available in Play Store to install.

[Q] HELP!!! Spent lot time but still Unable to flash HYPERION rom

Downloaded HYPERION Final Build 6, flashed to my SGY(stock rom and kernel:S5360_DXLF2_OLBLG1_DXLF1) using CWM with success and then choose to reboot the system but stuck in boot screen.
I leave my phone and waited for several minutes but still no joy. Used Odin 3.65 to recover the system and restore the stock rom and then flash again the HYPERION ROM but still no luck.
Please help guys....
If you get stuck at the logo screen try using a different compilation of CMW.
If you meet bootloop try wiping cache and Dalvik cache.

after flashing DXLF1, try flashing EVO-X2.1 first then Hyperion (that's what I did). I used Merruk's CWM it has a much cleaner interface. :3
first flash stock dxlf
then if youre succesfull go to stock rom home screen
reboot recovery clear data factory reset and cache on stock recovery
then apply root update.zip (file you need to root ur phone)
next open cwm clear data and cache again
after that install hyperion then donot reboot and donot apply any update (must be later after succes install)
clear data and cache again in cwm
then reboot recovery clear data and cache again
then reboot wait for a while
thats my step and now im using hyperion smoothly

Link2SD and App2SD requires EXT3 partitioning on your SD card so you can have an extension of your phone memory on your SD card.
Swapper does the same, you need a nameless partition that your phone can put swap files into so as to reduce RAM usage.
Chainfire 3d requires plugins to properly function. It may be installed but not functional due to the fact that you may not have installed any plugins.
So link2sd ad swapper requires partitioning (theres a guide for that) and chainfire 3d requires plugins (google it)

it also happened to my SGY,
This is what I did - (hope this will help)
1. Flash your SGY to baseband DXLF1/DXLF2 via odin
2. Root it.
3. Reboot to Recovery Mode --> do data reset at wipe cache (2x each)
4. Flash Hyperion via CWM
5. After installation, still in CWM go to advance --> reboot recovery --> then flash kernel via CWM
6. After kernel installs, do data reset, wipe cache 2x AGAIN, then --> go to advance --> wipe dalvik 2x also
7. Then REBOOT (wait 2-4mins until cellphone fully starts)

[Q] Nexus 4 problems.

I'm having a big problem with my Nexus 4 here lately. I tried to root it about 2 days ago, and it did not work. So i downloaded TWRP and my computer read it the same as the Nexus 4 root toolkit by WugFresh. I opened TWRP and it asked me to flash or boot (it was on flash), and i think i clicked "Recovery" and it made my Nexus not boot up, it was just at the logo screen. Then i tried to flash TWRP to the bootloader and System and it flashed TWRP, now it won't go into android. It just takes me into the TWRP interface. In the TRWP interface there are 8 options( Install, Wipe, Backup, Restore, Mount, Settings, Advanced, and Reboot). I pressed "Reboot" and i when press System, Recovery, or Bootloader it tells me that the is no OS installed, I've looked up how to install OS back via WugFresh's toolkit, but it's still not working (maybe because I'm on a old computer). So I'm kinda panicking, is there anyone i can call,or take my phone to, or can you guys help PLEASE!?!
1. Calm down, dont panic. Its an easy fix. You need to push a rom onto your phone using adb, then flash it using twrp.
2. Setup adb.
3. Download ROM: here or here.
4. Use this command to copy the rom to the phone:
Code:
adb push nameofROM.zip /sdcard
5. In TWRP go to Install, look for the rom you pushed, select it, and finally swipe to flash it.
Okay, i'll try that right now..

On the first boot after flashing a new ROM the Nexus should start up within 5 to 10 minutes. If the phone is still displaying the boot animation, reboot into the phone into TWRP recovery, select Wipe, select Factory Reset, wipe Cache and Dalvik cache, and reboot the phone.

Thanks! I think it was just the ROM i chose. I just downloaded Slim Bean, this seems to be working( the startup screen looks cool ) I'm on the "Android is upgrading..." screen and it says "Starting apps." at the moment.
Okay, SlimBean took more than 10 minutes, so i factory reset and tried again, and it's still not booting up. ):

I have not used Slim Bean. It sounds as though you got past the boot animation screen to Slim Bean updating apps (Android upgrading). Normally ROMs that update apps on startup display a count as they update. Does Slim Bean display such an update counter? Does the count progress or does it hang at some point? Note that the system update on startup will take additional time depending on the quality of your phone's network connection. If you are still experiencing issues with Slim Bean, I recommend that you post on the developers forum where you downloaded the ROM.

It is certainly more convenient to replace the stock recovery with TWRP permanently since this gives you more freedom when installing ROMs and performing nandroid backups.
I would try booting into TWRP again, install the Slim Bean ROM one more time, install Gapps, wipe Cache and Dalvik cache, and reboot your phone. If the Nexus gets past the boot animation to "Android upgrading" allow the upgrade to complete. If you are still having problems with Slim Bean, I suggest posting your question in the Slim Bean thread in the developers forum.

Need someone to double check my steps

Alright, so I've decided on what I want to use rom and kernel wise, and want someone to double check that they are compatible, and I have the right versions.
I would appreciate if someone would check that I have the right steps and files.
KERNEL:
From:
http://minooch.com/franciscofranco/Nexus4/4.3/zips/
Have:
franco.Kernel-nightly-r182.zip (this is JWR, right?)
ROM:
From:
http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/mako
Have:
pa_mako-3.99-20130823.zip
From:
http://download.paranoidandroid.co/Developers/TLKruzze/gapps/
Have:
pa_gapps-full-4.3-20130822-signed.zip
STEPS:
This is coming from a fresh out of box nexus, so stock 4.3.
1. Typical unlock bootloader, root, flash recovery, etc. I'll probably just use this toolkit for this.
2. Recovery
3. Wipe
4. Flash rom
5. Flash GApps
6. Wipe cache
7. Wipe dalvik cache
8. Boot to make sure it works
9. Recovery
10. Flash kernel zip
11. Reboot
Are those steps and files all correct, or am I missing something?
Thanks!
That's what I'm running now. No issues.
Personally I'd do it with adb for when something goes wrong you know how to fix it. When I unlocked and flashed recovery on my phone, everything wiped, even the stock rom was gone. Luckily I learned adb with my galaxy nexus and was able to restore the factory images with fastboot (minus recovery) and start over.
Also don't use the newest twrp. It was wiping my baseband and I reverted to the last version through fastboot to get it working.

Eh, I still prefer toolkits, even if there is a small risk.
The toolkit will be running CWM, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Before installing the ROM you should wipe data, cache, dalvick , system and if you are coming from 4.2.2 based ROM you have do a factory reset before wiping.
Also after flashing the kernel you need to flash Supersu v1.51 zip so that you dont face any root issues.
P.S : Enable the developer option and enable root with app+adb.
Rest you are right and good to go.
Welcome. :good:
As far as wiping goes u can do a few additional steps to make sure there's no issues.
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache
3. Go into mounts and storage
4. Format /system
5. Format /data
6. Format /cache
7. Go into advanced wipe /dalvik

Wiping data shouldn't take long at all. When people say wipe data/factory reset when changing roms it doesn't mean wipe the whole sd card. Do you have the latest recovery version? For CWM it is 6.0.3.6 or 6.0.3.7. For TWRP it is 2.6.3.0
The correct procedure is:
Wipe data/factory reset (NOT sd card)
Wipe cache/dalvik cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Install SU (optional)
Reboot

Redownload the ROM. Once you've downloaded just install it and wipe cache and dalvik and it should be fine.
Su, in full, Super SU is root made by Chainfire. The normal one in cm is made by Koush but you don't need to flash the Chainfire one, only do that if you have root problems

How to install DotOS?

Hello hopefully this question is allowed and this is the right place to ask. If not pls dont hurt me.
So i saw a thread about DotOS and it looks really nice so i thought i should install it. But tbh i'm totally lost. I have a Galaxy S5 SM-G900F model. And i dont know what to do to get something like a Custom Rom to running on it. I saw something about Bootloader there then some Recovery tool and Flashing. But nowhere i found a real "Tutorial" or Step by Step guide. So before i do something stupid and destroy my Phone i ask here for help. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advice!

I don't have this variant nor use DotOS but, your best bet is to post this question within the following DotOS thread.

Good Luck!

UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX Forum App on my SM-G900T device.

I don't use that rom
Did you wipe data before flashing the rom?
You can manually just goto settings and clear data of every Google app but really if you wiped data before you flashed the rom you wouldn't need to do this
Can't really suggest anything else
I use lineageos 15.1

I did everything what you sayd. System, Cache, data and dalvik/art cache. And after flashing again dalvik/art cache. And i cant access the Menu at all. Like i said its like a "First Time" Setup and i cant skip it. It just wants to search for Updates and it doesnt go away.
EDIT: I tried to restart the phone. In the left Up corner it say: Waranty something about Kernel in yellow. And the Boot time takes some time longer. But it starts without a problem. But still i cant skip past the "Checking for updates" sequence.

Wipe everything again
Flash rom zip only
Boot the rom
Go back into recovery mode
Flash gapps and magisk
Restart
Or you can manually disable the welcome screen by editing the build.prop
It's probably a rom thing but since I don't use it I can't advise further
If you can't get it working use the official lineage os 15.1 rom instead
https://download.lineageos.org/klte
Flash process is as I originally wrote
Also make sure you are using the latest bootloader & modem
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904022979
Put that file in AP section of odin and flash it (phone in download mode)

Alright so i flashed the rom only and started it. Works without a single Problem. So i guess maybe its something with the Google Apps. But now i installed Google Apps without Magisk and it works too. But when i want to open Google Play Store it just tells me: Google Play Services keeps stopping. So is it something with the MindTheGapps? I used this version: MindTheGapps-8.1.0-x86-20180808_153917
IMPORTANT EDIT!!! :
So i tried Lineage OS as suggested. Same problem. Google Play Services stopped working. So its 100% a Google Apps problem at least i think so. Any idea how to fix this? Tried MindTheGapps x86. OpenGapps on DotOS site with Arm64 then it failed and told me to use for my device the ARM version. Good installed that. Worked but there also Google Play Services stopped working. So what is the problem here? Also i used that Bootloader & Modem thing so i use the latest of these things.

Sorry my mistake - I got confused over which gapps you were selecting
I thought you were talking about 64bit or 32bit arm
It should be arm not x86
Use this one
Just wipe everything and flash again as per original instructions but use this gapps zip
http://downloads.codefi.re/jdcteam/javelinanddart/gapps/MindTheGapps-8.1.0-arm-20180808_153837.zip

As long as you wiped system data and cache and then flashed the rom zip & the arm gapps no reason why it would
You can always format data instead (option on right of to advanced wipe) but make sure you transfer anything on internal storage you need to keep to pc first)
You can always try OpenGapps instead
Arm 8.1 nano

I dont know. I do always the same as you told me. System ,Data , Cache and Dalvik Cache. Then Flashing and reboot. As said everything works just the Google Apps refuse to work. But hey. I got it managed to install with APK my usual Stuff like Chrome, Discord and stuff. And it works. So no complains. I just have to use apks from now on then. But better than nothing i guess. Still strange that those Gapps wont work....

Volume Up + Home + On/Off button.
Go to Wipe option on TWRP
Click Advanced Swipe
In the option "Select partitions to wipe", choose:
Dalvik/ART Cache
System
Data
Cache
Let MicroSD and USB Storage off. Don't choose them.
So swipe to wipe
Then try to make all the whole proccess again...
For Galaxy S5 will be always ARM. I've always used OpenGapps, since MindTheGapps seems gliched to me.
