Couple new apps. S Suggest, and next issue, New driving mode, and power save mode.
Seems snappier, but then again it reset itself.

Just got the update as well. noticed that it got rid of the nice black Samsung keyboard and turned it into an ugly silver one.

I'm just wondering how you can tell? Mine connects to the server and then says that there is no update available, but couldn't this be a tiered release so that everyone doesn't flood the update servers at the same time?

Mine also says no updates available. Running stock 4.0.3.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Can anyone provide a system dump?

This is the new keyboard.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda app-developers app

I just spoke to Samsung support. They say it is tiered. He told me it wasn't fully ready for prime time as of yet. I am rooted on 4.0.3 and when I go into Kies, it says there is an update, but, never updates. If I try OTA, it says there is NO UPDATE. So, Kies should work on a non-rooted 4.0.3? I hate to un-root, update, then go through that whole process again (Not the rooting, the app restore and configuration - Haven't tried a restore yet via My Backup Pro, so not sure how painful it will be).

Mine is about 2 months old....
Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2

Mine rolled out this morning in Kentucky. Took quiet a while to update.Quite a big change to the look of the keyboard and the stock browser. Thus far, I like it! I will report more later .

just updated also using Kies for Mac.. cannot updated using Kies in Windows even though it says there's an update, the device always get disconnected. while OTA is not yet available.
can this be rooted by the existing steps?

I bought the tablet a week ago and it came with 4.04 out of the box. I was able to install CWM and flash a custom rom, everything worked perfectly !

yes....you also do it through Kies.
Personally I think Kies is a safer way to update...as if anything does go wrong with the updating process...kies can always put your phone back to the emergency firmware image. (it happened to me with my galaxy tab 10.1)
Damn Samsung. I'm running Ubuntu, so no Kies for me (Yes, i've tried to run it in Win7 using Virtualbox, but it won't mount the Note)

updating via OTA?
i'm not getting updates, should I go for kies?
Anyone know if 2.3.6 KKA will get this update officially? I checked on OTA and Kies, nothing!
I am guessing that the 17MB update the OP is talking about is the XXKL3 2.3.6 update.
@Srinik5
Could you please take a screenshot of your "About Phone" screen? Is you phone currently on KL3? I am also in India & I have no updates available. I had updated to KL3 using Kies when it initially came out. I am assuming you did not.
I ran Kies and its said that my device doesn't support upgrade via kies, how come?

Updated in US via Kies, no problems. I don't see that anything major changed. Anybody see something?
In Aus, downloading the latest Kies... then the Phone update should show.. as I too have a DBT German model.

heh, I'm not really fussed.
I will only need root when I decide ICS is stable enough to use and then I'll downgrade first and apply root if I have to.
BTW I have bough Mobile Odin Pro. I just haven't used it since I lost root on my last update.
I don't really miss root anyway...
new update via KIES
OK got the new update via kies, OTA didnt work for me..
live in finland and had the stock german la4 (dbt) installed.
Now on LB1
no major changes in this version in my opinion..
got somekind of freeapp website preinstalled.. useless
maybe a little faster, the gallery for sure is loading alot faster for me
also contact list scrolling seems faster and doesnt lag
benchmark showed a average of 4000 same as on LA4
browser is also faster and doesnt lag on pages as it has done on la4
Is it available for download and update via computer based odin as i dont wanna root am on xeu unlocked uk version white note and updated to la4 via kies as samsung cant be bothered pushing out to uk. ...
Thanks

Me too. Let me know though.
I got this earlier and it failed on install. Like has been said at 26.2MB I seriously doubt it's ICS.
Tab restarted and it showed the android icon. A status bar went like a quarter of the way until it showed the android with an exclamation point and froze. I freaked out and held power to shut it down. It booted to cwm and I restarted.
Not sure if it even completed the update at all.

Damn. I just got that message too and said "go" because I have root with backup (ota rootkeeper) and CWM so I thought let's see but all it did was reboot *into CWM!!* and gave me some error, checksum mismatch or whatever. Rebooted and all is still untouched "old" version.
Now system/about says no update available. How can I manually install this? I think it's a new modem and hope it is and that it will finally fix the horrid 4G reception issues. My Droid Razr gets SOOO much better signal in the same area.
Does anyone by chance have a clean, fresh stock install plus this update and can pull me a CWM nandroid backup ?

"Biggest" change appears to be IPv6 support. I care (I'm all IPv6-native at home), most probably won't.

Will I lose root?
Has anyone tested whether we will lose root by upgrading? And if so does the root.zip work to get it back?
Given what's at stake (IPv6 functionality), I don't think I care whether I do it or not, I just want it to stop asking me.

Yes I lost root but re-rooted with .zip just fine
I applied this OTA last night. Since then, I'm seeing much poorer data speeds: Previously had pretty solid LTE speeds, now I'm lucky to exceed 500-1000kbps down.
Does anyone know if the previous i815 ROM / previous radio file is available online to flash via desktop Odin? (I've searched but didn't find anything but a nandroid file -- I'm not rooted, so don't have CWM.)

Yes! an Update is available but i dont know what this update is about. Its about 7.85 MB and i am getting it via OTA. Will post screens after installation.

One think i noticed is that, initially when i used the eMMC check app from market it took 360Sec and then said no problem. But now it was able to give the result in 3 Sec
Seems no change in kernel, just minor update in PDA (as OP stated it is just 7.85MB)
Its just a new build with same kernel and modem.
The build number is IML74K.DDLPA

Could be two reason.
1. You may be using a different CSC other than "INU"
2. In the Software Update section, "WiFi only" is checked and you are using Mobile Data connected.
I had "WiFi only" unchecked and it popped up

This just confirms that we WONT be getting an update any time soon to 4.4.
Both Samsung and ATT have some sort of BS going on. Probably something with the additional bloatware not working with 4.4 and is the reason why they have not released 4.4 to the public.
This type of BS may push me over the edge with both Samsung and ATT.
Samsung needs to pull an Apple and not allow any carriers to add junk to their phones, thats one thing I respect about Apple.

Just made sure the phone had USB Debugging on and put it in MTP mode when plugged into USB. Other than that I just let Kingo do its thing. It did reboot one time during the root process but was re-detected by Kingo after restarting and the process continued. Also got the warning about mtkCamera being potentially unsafe during part of the process but told it to goahead anyway. Using Kingo 1.2.0
