ADMOB eCPM decreased - Mobile Ad Networks

Hello my usual ecpm was around 2.10 but now since first of july ,( yesterday) my ecpm suddently decreased around 1.0, is this normal ? never saw this happen before, its a tendency for everyone ? has something to do with the 4 of july ?
Is someone experience the same decrease

Questions should be asked in Q&A forums, not development forums.

Transparent navbar and notification bar?

I know the transparent notification bar was implemented on the Galaxy Nexus with AOKP and a few other ROMs. However it cased the Gnex to lag like crazy when it was set.
Curious if this option is available for the N7 and if it causes any lag, I figured the GPU and Processor are better than what is in the Gnex so possibly.
Also would like to see transparent navbar.
I just want an "Auto-hide" feature to reclaim precious screen real estate back from the ever-present Nav-bar...

Hide it all with GO Launcher.
I understand why this was moved to Q&A, but I honestly think the Q&A section is ridiculous. Very few people go on a forum and say to themselves "let me go see if I can answer some questions for people".
If you look at the General forum (where I originally posted this) vs the Q&A forum you will notice
General Forum: 1,109 threads 47,575 posts = average of 42 responses per post
Q&A Forum: 2,511 threads 18,421 posts = average of 7 responses per post
If its not Development, Accessories or Theme/app then its likely a question or a poll...

Here's a response.

It's attitudes like that that get questions deadzoned instead of answered. Hundreds of people are on here answering questions for noobs all day every day.
Also, if you look in General and take time to read threads, you'll see it's heavily padded with info about BUYING a Nexus 7 - where to, how was shipping, how long did shipping take, did you get a deal, as well as advice from users who found solutions to common problems. Also the stats you posted about the response count should indicate to you that the problems posted in Q&A get solved *very* swiftly and efficiently. Resolution does not take dozens of answers when you have the awesome community that you have got here.
Recap - if you're providing GENERAL information about the device it goes to GENERAL. If you are asking a question to which you expect an answer, it goes to Q&A. Very, very simple, effective and efficient.
On stock, with stock launcher, this option is not available.
As to your problem - Someone suggested goLauncher to set it autohide, While this is possible, and works with stock and unrooted, I recommend against it as GoLauncher and all of the fun little widgets that come along with it are relatively inefficient on resource usage and one of their primay widgets is a task killer which, as we all know, is no good. Apex launcher also has this options IIRC, altho Apex has some quirks that I did not like, such as not rotating to landscape very well - i found my layout on homescreens got ruined whenever I rotated.
Preferably, you can also root and flash a different ROM, many of which offer autohide navbar features, including some others you might find helpful. I recommend SGT7 4.1.1 ROM as it's fast and stable, comes with great options and makes the Nexus 7 operate well (I just posted benchmarks in that thread, from build 4. Will post Build 5 benchmarks later too!) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788518
As I stated I fully understand the difference between the two, I just think the difference is so inconsequential that separating the forums limits the amount of help received. I frequent these forums daily and feel I keep up on most of what is happening, however questions like the one I posed do a few things:
1. They allow people that maybe developed this mod for themselves to share their work, knowing others are interested in the same feature.
2. They give developers and idea of how many people are interested in such a feature
3. It gives multiple people the opportunity to share their variations of what I am looking for (Apex/Go Launcher)
I am not arguing that my thread was moved, I just honestly find this thread to be a graveyard most of the time.
You stated you can find "advice from users who found solutions to problems", does this mean if I find a solution to my problem (transparent bars) I should make another thread in General just to post about it? Seems redundant again.
I love the community, and for the most part XDA does a great job. I just think making so many divisions in the forums causes a lot of redundant threads/questions.
P.S. what is the difference between "orignal development and android development"? <----honest question

Posting rules really don't rules at all

Hi there, all you guys and moderators.
I can't help my self from posting this...being frustrated and a wee bit disappointed!
I can't for the life of me see, nor understand, the "rule" for a new member of this forum, being prohibited to comment and/or post anything elsewhere then to the "approved" threads before making any post anywhere else! And mind you, you've got to produce ten (10) posts before being able to share your experiences and/or thoughts to anyone, such as the ROM-provider or a noob searching a answer...
And yes, I'm a noob..to you. Being a freshman at this forum doesn't necessarily mean I'm a noob at what I'm doing
With this post I want to share my thoughts around the posting rules here...and it triggers a flashback memory from when I worked as a consultant programmer at a BIG Swedish company and one of the other consultants asks me why they never saw me at the hours of extended hours at work, since the wast majority of consultants were there...well...my reply was: Why should I do extended working hours when I'm capable of finishing my work on a daily basis, working 9 to 5? I did not ever got an answer! My answer was to show that overtime hours didn't necessarily equals efficiency...
Get the drift don't you ? What I'm getting at is that it seems to me that quantity matters more than quality within this forum...and that conclusion doesn't feel nice at all!
I once upon a lullaby joined MS beta tester program...no one ever at MS had questioned the number of feedback experiences from the software/OS's that they have sent me...I'm living in the belief that MS actually took a look at the feedback provided and discovered that this guy probably got some experience, skills and interests for us to learn from...this said, not to express myself as a number one person to listen to, but as a noob within this forum, frustrated and PO'd.
Question that still lingers on: Why does quantity matters more than quality?
The minimum of 10 posts is before you can post in development fora.
You shouldn't be posting in development fora unless you're releasing something you developed anyways... Unless you're trying to offer feedback in a thread that already exists there.
The idea about not letting you post there before your get to 10 posts is so that maybe you figure this out, or someone tells you this. It's an imperfect system, but it's what the moderator committee has to work with.
Also, there is a HUGE difference between being a n00b, and being a new member. N00bs don't learn, or at least, they don't learn very easily.
Rules are there to limit the off topic, wrongfully posted threads in dev forums. That being said this thread has nothing to do with the device and because of which shouldn't have been made here. @OP go to Q&A and help other members to get your post .

Forums Need Sorting!!!

One thing wrong with the SGS forums is, the Development forum needs a massive sort out, its getting out of hand, too many questions and users moaning, not enough Development talk, there are forums for questions, and for errors in roms! so come on Mods!!!!
Won't happen
There are not enough moderators, or willingness to enforce forum rules in i9000 section on XDA
So there you have it. I9000 will always be a mess, especially for a dev.
For example there is a 500 page cm thread in dev section, which contains only a handful bug reports. When clearly the OP requested bug reports and dev discussion only.
There is nothing to gain knowledge in these threads since theyre a huge mess. And always will be.

It's just a fact that anything that becomes public knowledge and popular eventually goes straight down the drain on terms of user quality.
Enough people are stupid, lazy, and arrogant enough to destroy anything they want without even knowing it.

Hi,
As far as I can tell, there isn't any questions on a least the first page of development. Unless of course you mean inside each development thread. In which I ask that you report a specific post or a specific post a couple pages back. I will clean at least the last few pages.

Just saw this thread and thought I'd pop in.
We are, and will always be, willing to enforce the rules on each individual forum we are assigned. However because of the sheer number of posts that are posted per day on XDA we cannot proactively moderate each individual post.
We do proactively moderate to a certain degree by for instance moving all question threads from general to Q&A but even then we don't read the threads, often we just glance at the thread title and popup of the first post before deciding if it needs moving or not.
To which end that is why the report button is there, you users report stuff that needs moderator attention to us and we deal with it.
Yes we are understaffed - currently only 4 of the moderators in the Samsung International Moderation Team are active and we have every non US/Canadian Samsung forum to moderate. All other teams have 7-8 active moderators.
However, I'd much rather see 100 reports per day from this forum than no reports and users griping and saying we're not doing enough or not willing to enforce the rules.
Regards,
Jonny

[CLOSED] Profit from Forums - 25s downloads per day!

Hello guys! Couple weeks ago we have successfully release our first game. After first week - we gave 10-15 downloads per day. Next what we do it: twitter and Fb integration for our game. It gave us: +5 downloads per day. Next activity - forums. After the release of threads on most android forums we gave - approximately +25s downloads per day. Here we go:
Our game - funny 2D platformer - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alder.bananarocksfree
Our thread on XDA - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2794650
What else marketing tools do you use in your games?
This thread is for "Discuss your experiences getting downloads, optimizing for search engine and app store placement, and using third-party marketing tools.".... It is not for apps or games advertising. That thread is here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=530
Please just ask the question and or share your findings. Leave the links to apps out of the discussion... At least here....
