u mean cm7.. or is the next update going to be cm9?
I'm confused, is this the official cm9 or wtf is going on here?
there is no CM9 for atrix, yet. It is just the bbq web page listing the changes has a selection for CM9. Maybe alpha, but no noghtly, RC or beta is listed on the normal page: http://get.cm/?device=olympus

Not looking good for ICS...
http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-update-4-5-141-coming-february-7th-its-not-android-4-0
We have CM9 on its way, and lot of mods with ICS stuffs on it, why still wait for ICS from Motorola...
Enjoy the Custom mods....
For now at least, those of us using the webtop are stuck with blur based roms, which makes the idea of an official ICS very appealing.
For now only razr is beeing worked, after all omap 44xx devices get ICS, since are easier to port, "We will provide ICS to other devices."

Who cares about ICS Motorola update. We need a kernel update. Any news about that??

Acerbix made a OC kernel for CM9. You can find in his CM9 Kang thread

This isn't on my personal device and all other CM7 mirrors aren't working at the moment
None of the above.
fascinatemtd is how this device is identified I believe. .
But you probably should go with cm9 ( or aokp) at this point. There are numerous good builds in the developer forum.

Is there a working bug free official CM9?
Do you guys even take 10 minutes to look at the ROM development threads?
CM9 is not official. makelegs has a CM9 build that is ~98% working.
AOKP has an official build but the "glitched" unoffical build is better. ~99% working
Team Hacksung has a ICs build on Rootzwiki that is 99% working as well.
Research.
the china miui have been confirmed that miui for our galaxy s3 will be released on friday for close beta team and then after one week bug tracking period,it will be public beta released d..hehe
ps:however, its based on official samsung rom,im still hoping someone could port it on CM9 based
Why port to CM9 base? I actually tried to do this, I couldn't get past the boot screen. I followed a guide on how to port miuiv4.
I believe the problem lies with you needing an existing miuiv4 to port, and the only similar device is the S2, but that rom is 4.0.3, and CM9 is 4.0.4. At least that's why I think it wasn't working. Gave up pretty fast.

Please do. The beta release does not feel snappy like cm7 based miui, also miui v4 themes don't theme all intended areas ie dialler and sms due to samsung base.

And if we get ics officially from cyanogen...cm10 will be available for us..i just read that devices with official cm9 support will have cm10 as well. [Official cyanogen announcement ]

ibthink its still questionable that we will get official cm support, but id say that well definitely get jb (cm10) builds by eppy and quarx, since they managed to get cm9 working with full hwa, and afaik jb is not that different driver/sw wise. only uncertain thing is project butter, and that depends on whether its possible to port it via kernel modules.

Lukenda has claimed at least twice that this particular version of Gingerbread (2.3.5) runs better on stock kernel... His opinion.
So, come on Lukenda, tell us more.
Anyone who has toyed with this version is more than welcomed to chime in.
One particular thing worth noticing is that no stable release of CyanogenMod is based around 2.3.5.
MiniCM7 2.0.7 is based on 2.3.5 and it's stable
yes i did and i based it on a long time of using them.
there is a stable 2.3.5 rease by nAa
,there are few minor bugs but i dont mind them.
try to use minicm7 2.0.7 and some 2.3.7
rom such as gdx.
make a comparison between those two and test battery speed in apps such as YouTube and internet browsers.
All games I have been able on 7 rom were playable on .5 rom.
Please test for your self and report.

Let me repeat myself. there's no stable release of CyanogenMod based around 2.3.5: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/CyanogenMod_7_Changelog
Stable release, as in final release, as opposed to a nightly release or a release candidate.

*Sigh*
I was really hoping for something better than that. Your claim that the 2.3.5 is indeed better is totally unfounded.
The only thing you are left with after that kind of testing is that for your use MiniCM is better than other ROMs and the hypothesis that it might be because of the android version.
You could have at the very least get your hands on GingerDX v015 to test your claim.
And if anyone is interested in actual testing, a proper way would be to compare GingerDX v015 to GingerDX v016.
To take it a step further comparing XGin 5.4 to XGin 6.0 and kuyaDROID v3.2.175 to v.4.3.233 (which I think was the next available release) would be needed.
I still have the original nAa's GB (2.3.5 for stock kernel) rom, so if anybody is interested in testing that rom, i'll ask nAa if i could reupload it on MF if nobody finds a working link .
