Just make sure you check "repartition" in Odin when you reflash...

I presume by Odin 10.00 you mean 3.10? If so, try DL 3.09 and use that - it's what I have used all along with my Note 3. Odin is not necessarily 'latest is best' in versions.
Next, turn phone OFF and even remove battery for 10 secs or so, then start Odin and then start phone into Download mode and THEN connect it to PC - do you get the blue OK in Odin? Do you get an 'Added' in the action box?
Which firmware are you trying to flash?
Something else to try is to turn phone off, wait a bit, start using the download mode keys but press Vol DOWN to start instead of Vol UP to go into DL - sometimes lets the phone boot.

Galaxy S5 won't flash to stock OS.

Hello, I tried flashing my S5 with the new Cyanogenmod 12 but i couldn't get it to boot with a custom recovery .. it just wouldn't want to so i decided to go back to the stock OS and start fresh.
But now it won't work at all. The phone boots normally and everything . I can use it (it also says the root is still working) but when i try to flash the stock OS 5.0 it fails.. I tried many versions of Odin and even older os's .. nothing works.
What can I do to get it back to normal and then maybe install cyanogen again??
(i tried posting images but it won't let me .. i need 10 posts)

Definitely chose the correct PIT file for your model S5
Reactivation lock disabled on the S5?

If it's a G900F, you need this PIT file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2721101&d=1399024091
Extract first before adding to ODIN
Does ODIN tell you which COM port the S5 is connected to when you have the phone connected?
It should light up at one of the top rectangle sections with COM:6 or whichever number it's using

I will try this pit now and yes it does tell me the port
OK, so we know it's not likely a driver issue then if it can see the port
Be sure your phone is the G900F though, it tells you in settings > general > about device

Read my edit above - everything needs to be for the G901F
ROM and PIT - if you're trying to flash a G900F ROM, that's probably why it was failing in the first place

S5 (SM-G900H) Stuck on Boot Logo?

I have looked at every single thread on how to fix this issue, and I have tried all versions of odin 9.x and up, different firmwares for this model, Booting into recovery, which fails, and flashing a recovery in odin. Everything that i try to do with odin results on getting stuck on "Initialization...." While it does not with my s4. Any Help?
And If I try to use Kies or Smart switch, it says device not supported, and if i go to emergency update, it downloads the firmware but stays at 0 percent when installing. I have tried multiple pcs, all on windows 10. I have access to linux if needed, and I have about 40 android cables in my house. I am open to options

G900H is Oct-Core, you need a special recovery for that model S5
Follow these instructions to get TWRP installed

And remove your IMEI from previous posts, it can be used to clone your device / get your phone blocked

S8 only booting into Download Mode

Hi Guys,
Strange thing happened yesterday. My unrooted Galaxy S8, sitting on the arm of the couch just turned itself off and wouldn't boot back up. I knew the battery had been low so I assumed it had run down. Upon plugging it into multiple chargers, I found the phone was a brick and not reacting at all. I left it plugged in overnight and when checking it in the morning I found it had booted into Download Mode. "Great", I thought, "I can work with this".
I held power and Vol Down for a couple of seconds to see if it would boot normally now, and it just powered off, totally unresponsive like the night before. I left it plugged in again and when I came home from work it was back in Download Mode. After plying with it for the evening, I've found it will only randomly boot into Download Mode after being off and unresponsive for a number of hours. Doesn't respond to any key combos when off (but keys are obviously ok as I can power down from Download Mode).
I've tried flashing the correct firmware from Sammobile via Odin but this fails every time. Odin sees the phone (COM0 or whatever) but seems to be unable to flash.
Any key combos or software anyone knows of that might help me breath life into the thing? Does Kies Firmware Recovery still exist or is that EOL these days?
I should note, I've rooted and installed custom ROMs etc on a countless number of phones in the past, but this one was untouched until I started having these issues.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, original cable. I have a second Galaxy (which is rooted) and managed to flash it using Odin fine using the exact same PC, cable & Odin so I don't think it's an issue on that side. Adding a screenshot from Odin to the original post, hoping someone may be able to help.
Thanks

Don't use the re-partition potion and avoid using PIT as those are not the cause of the phone being bricked. Which firmware are you using and what is the Sales (Region / CSC code) being displayed on download mode? Plus what is the AP SW REV line displaying as well?

Thanks. Initially I avoided trying to re partition but since it was giving me a partition failure and the phone is already bricked, I thought I might as well try (didn't work anyway)..
I haven't tried the PIT yet, but last night i found this thread below so I'm going to try that this evening.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/corrupted-pit-t3602079
The killer is that every time I try to flash something and fail, I have to wait about 4 hours for the phone to boot itself back into Download Mode, which makes troubleshooting difficult.
I'm using the latest Vodafone Ireland Firmware (CRLC) from Sammobile, which is the correct firmware for this device. As for the questions around CSC and AP SW REV, I can't say I saw any info like that on the download mode screen but will check this evening and post here any further information.
Thanks
So, unfortunately the phone has now stopped even booting into Download Mode every few hours. Looks like it has just bricked itself.
Funny that this is the first Samsung in years I haven't rooted or messed with and this happens! Will try bringing it to a Samsung store.

<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Re-Partition operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
To be clear, I have not ticked Re-Partition or a PIT file and I still get the above. I also tried set the PIT and re-partition to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas of something to try?
