Hmm weird. Engadget also missed it too.
No delivery date given though.

Unfortunately they are only selling the 16 GB model though
I just wish all phones were available on all carriers for the same price. I mean, I understand that carriers have to differentiate themselves and what not, but it just gets so frustrating and I see all my money drain away from me...

Sucks we only get the 16GB...

I wonder how the red will look.

Same here, if it looks good that will be the one I go with. Sure we only get 16GB but we get a special color!

16gb is fine, I've got a 64gb card. That makes up for it.
Just checked with ATT, I am ready to upgrade
*639# on your phone will send you an SMS with your upgrade availability. I know most of you probably know that, just trying to save at least one person some time in searching.

Cool I forgot about that easy way to check, thanks. Hmmm I will be out of contract for the first time in yearsssss in a few weeks, what actual benefits are there of buying a non-contract phone? Is there an HSPA+ US variant I could buy and lower my databill to medianet if I wanted?

I don't see the 2GB RAM mentioned in US AT&T SIII "official" announcement. Didn't the other US providers mentioned 2GB RAM in their S III variants?

Not all the providers provided the specs. However, Samsung USA did announce that all US carriers will have S4 with 2gb.

Well, you could buy one of these out of contract. The international version is also an option. That one wouldn't have 4G LTE, but *should* have HSPA+. I'm sure somebody else can verify, I haven't looked into international phones much.

Correct, you can get the international version which will provide you with HSPA+ speeds but no LTE. You will also get the quad core Exynos with 1 GB of RAM versus the dual core with 2 GB that is in the US and Canada variants.

I know the ATT and roger model will be identical.
How about the T-mobile version?
Would the t-mobile version work with att once unlocked?
is all the NA version the same, and contain all the band?
I want the 32gig but I have ATT.

No, they don't "have to", they differentiate to reduce competition. So if you find "money drains away from you" for no good reason, perhaps it's time to buy unlocked.

Our phones hardly take advantage of the 1gb of RAM that they currently come with. What difference will 2gb of RAM make? Also, will the s4 snapdragon provide better battery life? I'd like to pre-order the pebble blue as soon as I can. I can't imagine the Red version looking good at all.

I'm really interested to see how the red will work. If it is a good shade of red (perhaps DR. Pepper can red), then I will be more inclined to get it. Tough choice though.
All I wanted was black lol

microSD cards are so cheap now, why does it matter that we only get the 16gb version? Hell, I'll take your $50, send you a class 10 16gb microSD card to make up the difference and I'll still have enough left to put a decent amount of gas in my car. Deal?

Samsung Galaxy S4 32GB or 64GB??

Does anyone have any ideal of when the 32gb or 64gb version of S4 will go on sell? Anyone who works for At&t know if either will be available to purchase in the at&t store? Seen something that Radio Shack will have the 32gb version for Sale on the 27 April 2013. 16gb is not enough onboard memory for me.
I read today at android central that a Samsung rep said within the next week or two for the 32GB but I don't know how accurate that is, I also don't see a 64GB coming at all to the US.

I have the Nexus 4 16gb. Not enough memory for me. 32 would be comfortable.:good:
For those who can live with 9.8GB of space, I applaud them. I simply can't and won't. Just annoys me to have to wait, weeks, months, who knows when for the 32GB. I hear Saturday, I hear next week or two to pre-order, I hear May or June. Not sure what to believe.

Rumor from Google I/O coming in May is a revamped Nexus 4 with 32GB and LTE. May hold out for that. Now if a 32gb or G4gb Galaxy S4 come out before then, I might make that move. :highfive:
While a Nexus 4 w/ 32GB and LTE would be nice the lack of microSD doesn't make it any better for me at least.
More info on the larger memory models at http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/04/28/...er-accessible-internal-storage/#comment-47651 and http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/04/25/samsung-galaxy-s4-32gb-64gb-mia/ and http://www.knowyourmobile.com/samsu...msung-galaxy-s4-wheres-32gb-and-64gb-versions
I would really like to buy an S4 but not in a basic 16Gb form. I want at least 32Gb or preferably 64Gb. With Apps2SD not functional on the newer versions of Android and the internal memory being much faster than an external microSD card the larger memory versions are a must for power users. Maybe I will have to give up on Samsung and go for a 64Gb HTC One which does not have a removable battery or card slot but looks a worthy alternative to an S4 with only the basic memory.

rumors abound on when we will see it, some say the 30th, some say May or June, some say never. If ATT didn't even mention it in the fine print we would just assume no.
Bottom line is if they don't then I have to rethink my whole phone strategy. Perhaps Samsung will offer up a 32GB developer edition soon.
Just get an international version. I scored one for $699

Did u get the 32gb version international and from where? i am also patiently waiting for the 32gb version in india. Dont want to make the same mistake of getting the 16 gb again like i did with the s3. Its just no enough space. One of my friends went to the samsung store to ask they say that the 32gb version will not come to india but i have a feeling they are just saying that to sell the 16gb versions but who knows.

Wow. I've searched high and low for a 32 or 64Gb version. Which size did you get and where was it from bacause there are loads of us who would like to know where to get the larger memory versions.
Why is this so difficult? Many people, like myself, were looking to finally switch from iPhone to the S4. But I won't live with 9Gb available. I just won't. They had a huge opportunity with this launch, and they have completely squandered it.
I did see 1 international (South Korean) version for sale on eBay, however apparently LTE doesn't work on that model in the US. I have seen several listings touting 32GB, but then the details pages reveal that they are all 16+16. Today thee were two new listings for 32GB that don't say 16+16, but I have emailed the sellers for clarification since I find it hard to believe that random people would get them first.
Its a myth .. i have being waiting for samsung to release anything greater then 16gb since s2 times..
S2 -> Tab 7.7 -> S3 all annouced 32 or 64.. but none reach my country.
So do not keep your hopes up for 64gb.. 32gb maybe..

32 GB at AT&T.
Hey everyone !
Just made a petition to make Samsung release the 32gb and the 64gb. I know that on AT&T the 32gb has been released, but not everywhere and the 64GB is still missing. Please sign (at least for helping others) and share the petition link: http://www.change.org/petitions/release-the-samsung-galaxy-s4-with-32-and-64-gb-internal-memory

[Q] Any news on 32GB model on contract in UK?

Has anyone managed to discover any news as to whether the 32GB model of the G2 will be available on contract in the UK?
I saw a suggestion a few days ago that O2 had exclusivity on it - but they don't appear to be selling the 32GB and I haven't seen anything to back that comment up.
Planning on popping into a Three store to ask - but don't expect they will have any info.
What about the 32GB version from Mobicity? Anybody tried it yet?
ISILDUR
He asked for contract 32gb version.
From my searches on the net no uk providers are offering a 32gb version on contract.
Not even as an exclusive. unlike some european providers have exclusive 32gb offerings
of contracts.
it seems that only retailers are offering 32gb versions.
which is a bummer. 16gb with no sd card option. has stopped me getting this nice phone
i'm hoping and waiting to see if any providers wise up and start stocking the 32gb version.
as im sure like myself quite a few people would snap the g2 32gb up on contract.
fingers crossed
Quite so, Brock. The 16GB has never really been enough on my Galaxy Nexus. I'm not putting myself through another two years of carrying 40% of the music I want.
Agreed... I just wish they would realise that we want higher storage. That stopped me even thinking of getting a N4 (at the time) & now the G2. Shame really.
Also... Surely, 64GB should be standard by now anyway?. Its funny how Clockspeeds and GPU's always keep raising... Yet, storage is still the same as a mobile that is over 2/3 years old?!.

you can use a usb stick with a very short female (full size for usb stick) usb to male mini usb (phone end) cable, widely available as the phone recognises it and then you can keep your extra stuff on usb I know its not ideal but it does work

[Q] Where can you buy the 32gb version?

Samsung said S5 in 16 or 32gb. I want it only if 32gb plus micro sd card.
Has anyone seen for sale yet that will sell in the UK
Both the 16gb and 32gb models will have the microSD slots. The S5 will be available in 150 countries starting April 11th.
I'm not sure about this but I think Samsung tend to wait a couple of months before they release the higher capacity versions. I think it took a extra couple of months for the 32gb note 2 to come out when I got one there was only a 16gb. But that may have only applied to my region.
Could be samsungs way of hoping you buy their device twice. I reckon it would be wishful thinking on their part. But I don't think I've seen a 32gb device released this year with microSD.
I'll be waiting for the 32gb version too, and will also be getting myself a 128gb microSD when they are released.
So far all the pre orders are for the 16gb. That's just not enough free memory for me in the internal storage. I couldn't move my setup from my Note 3 to the S5

It's got to be available to buy first... It's a mysterious phone model at the moment.
Verizon sells the 16GB in store and only offers the 32GB version online, they claim users don't buy the 32GB version due to the extra $50. I guess those same users prefer less food for the same money, less gas mileage for the same money and lower IQ's.
At least there is an online option. Nothing here in UK yet

Once theres root (and i can't see that taking a long time) Folder mount will be working with the S5 so all your huge apps/games will be able to be moved to the SD card in their entirety so the 16GB model shouldn't be an issue, although 32GB would be a very welcomed feature.
For me 32GB should be standard, 16GB in this day and age simply isn't enough., especially if you've chosen not to root the device and can't use apps like folder mount.
Root is no good as it voids warranty now there is Knox. Plus certain apps I have detect root and won't run.

Not in Europe.
Given what Samsung is doing with the country lock restriction it may get harder to buy elsewhere and bring it back to your home country without first activating it.

See I know no one wants to hear this, but this is where Apple is very strong. They sell all models and colors upfront. AT&T doesn't even have the blue GS5 available. Of course if it becomes available later, the blue will not come with 32GB of storage. Its ridiculous.

Well that's kinda questionable with the iPhone 5s launch (it was pretty much black only for a month or two), but at least they had them. No exclusivity crap. I have no love for Samsung and their exclusivity at every possible turn. They play favorites more than any other company. EVERYTHING goes to South Korea many months before everywhere else. I commend them on the global S5 launch, but Snapdragon 800 S4 anyone? Galaxy Round? S4 Black? As one of Samsung's larger markets, we're pretty left out.

The best place to buy Note 4 in Canada?

Was looking for the international version because apparently the snapdragon chip is not as powerful.
Any Northerners on here that can give me some advice on where to get the Note 4 unlocked off contract, and preferably international ver.

No idea. I got my note 4 through Bell for $250 on
2year contract. Snapdragon is very powerful. Even on power saver it is very fast.
Look for deals if you can. I got mine at BestBuy for $75 with a new 2 year through Bell during Black Friday.
I was able to talk the Cell Shop manager into the best deal considering I would sign a brand new contract replacing my old 3-yr Promo one

That is not true about benchmarks, it depends what your looking for. Snapdragon is for Graphics and Exynos for raw computation power.
In terms of battery they are both pretty bad, but I heard the Snapdragon also takes this by a slight margin.
Try Pacific Mall if you Live in Toronto, just watch out! Many companies (private) are pulling insurance fraud by selling you devices then claiming them stolen...you can wake up with your phone blacklisted.
IMO unless you do Ebay or Amazon (which will prob be expensive), I wouldn't think it's worth going out of your way for the Octo core. The difference aren't enough to justify the change.

Thanks for the responses.
What are your thoughts on the 64 bit as another pro, for the exynos octo core chip?
i understand that 64 bit makes it possible to use 4+ gb Ram, the note has 3.
so are there any other benefits to 64 octo over 32 snapdragon?
as far as pacific mall i don't really like buying phones from them anymore.

Ram is fixed at 3 GB for all note 4s. Also most apps are programmed in 32 bit arch and there are still even PC applications that are simply programmed in 32 bit environment (actually Many many programs to be more precise...and even those that are 64 bit compatible but don't take any advantages of the new system).
Seeing as 64 bit will depend on both ram being above 3.25 GB and programmers actually programming apps that will take advantage of the new bit count, it is too early to proudly adopt the 64 bit arch expecting to future proof yourself.
I have a Nexus 9, which is a 64 bit CPU. By the time 64 bit makes it into it's baby steps even my nexus 9 will most likely be irrelevant in terms of other products on the market.
For now, 64 bit is a marketing gimmick and just a first crawl of technology going in the right direction. Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, and frankly encourage people to purchase into it, but don't expect to get the "performance" or "use" of 64 bit atm.
You are simply "funding" future projects
Edit:
Kijiji is even worse. At least pacific mall has a location (not that it makes much more of a difference) but your not carrying around 800$ cash to a random location. At least in Pacific mall there is security and is a place to shop.
i got my 910U from taiwan using ebay. $900 and well worth the extra ponies over the canadian models. using it on rogers.
I bought mine from Craigslist for $420.... Its amazing if you're patient the deals youll find. All you have to do is be able to barter, know what you're looking for and take precautions when buying used- Meet them at phones carrier, have it transferred over to you, meet them at their house and test it out or ask for their ID. Id definetly reccomend craigslist if you dont mind a used one
at $420 youre getting a fake for sure. no one is going to sell a real phone at hundreds off the cost price. a fake phone costs $160 with shipping at retail.
have you run refurbishment check on it using samsung phone info app from the app store ? have you asked the carriers if your phone is on contract/stolen or blacklisted ?
you can find it online and in Canada
Omega Cell in Edmonton carries these . i have purchased other phones, it is a good place to shop for unlocked and unique phone hardware

A note to samsung(re no 64gb in canada)???

A NOTE TO SAMSUNG.
Your recent launch of your two new phones,The Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus did not give you the edge over Apple here are the reasons why.,
-no Micro Sd slot
-no external battery
Now I can live with these two choices as I realize that internal memory is much faster than external memory and the non-removable battery is not a big deal.
But,you did not stop there instead you decided that your going to push the S6 Edge Plus as your main flagship phone in two memory sizes 32/64gb and in the color black and make the Note 5 available in Black only and one size 32gb here in Canada. Last but not least some carriers did not received any phones at all and where in the dark as to when and If they would receive stock of the Note 5 in the 64gb size
I have always been under the impression that as a consumer that pays for the product I get a choice in this matter. Samsung does NOT decide what I want.
In the end have comes out on top as “THE PLUS WINNER”
They deliver across the world to multiple countries along with different models of phones in various memory sizes.
In closing I have purchased the S2/3/4 and the Note ¾ and was planning on buying the Note 5(64GB)
Until you can deliver phones in Canada like Apple does I will take my money elsewhere.
This is “THE NEW NOW.”
Yours truly.,
Greg Joplin

Did you actually send this to someone at Samsung?
We're in the same boat in Australia, only a 32GB version of the Note 5 is being released and it's $1099 which is crazy expensive for a model with entry-level storage. I've imported a 64GB model from a Hong Kong retailer, I believe they got their stock from Singapore. Ended up paying less and I get double the storage and I get it 2 weeks earlier to boot.
No one from Samsung is going to see it here.

They probably could only manage to get enough 64gb models to certain markets (like the US) at this point. In Samsung's position, what's better? Get 32gb to market where it will end up to be the most popular model or sit on it and be nice to enthusiasts like us? While I agree it is frustrating to only see 32gb and black only in the Canadian market, I hear other color options and 64gb will become available in mid-September
It is your providers that decided to carry only 32gb rather than samsung being somehow short. Traditionally even when they launched with multiple versions of the phone, they soon discontinued the higher model due to lower sales. Pay attention how long will they have 64gb edge+ available.
Note 4 ?
Ordered a 64GB unlocked Note 5 on eBay from Taiwan.
I'll report back how the reception is without band 4 (1700) AWS. The phone still supports 700, 2100, and 2600 MHz.. hopefully that'll be sufficient
"Hurr durr, 32gb is plenty when you have the cloud"
Sure, if my wireless carrier let me have 20gb data traffic a month. Or if I was always connected. Me and my 100+ mobile users all live/work in Northern Alberta. They spend their entire day taking pictures of wellsites and oilfield structures. And with a 16MP camera. those pictures can be 5-8mp a piece in basic JPG mode. I've got 21gb usable space, so without including email, social media, and movies/music, I'd fit about 20, 000 photos on a Note 5. That sounds like a lot until you realize my guys might be in the woods without cell service for 3 weeks at a time.
Its just .... just a BAD device that USE to be a professional product that is now just a poor excuse for an iPhone 6+. At least I can get 64GB of storage on an iPhone, even if the OS is built for toddlers.
How True

It's not Samsung. It's the Carriers. My buddy is a purchasing director for ******* (will not disclose because i have been asked to) and he said the previous phones that offered 64gb didnt sell well enough (of course that 100$ more for something that cost 3$ more to make is ludacris) and a lot of them had to be kept dormant until somebody bought them, or some promotion came to push the stock rotation. He said canada is a small market, we might be close to 35 million, but no more than 3000-5000 note 5 will be sold in the first month, all carriers taken into account. So Samsung consults with the carriers before production starts and they agreed that all W8 models would be 32gb black...and when the initial order will be sold, they will introduce a new color to boost sales once again, and possibly at the end of the 1st year cycle, a new capacity.
Honestly, everybody is getting ripped off with storage. It literally doesnt cost more than 25$ for a 128GB memory chip, and yet, they will charge us hundreds of dollars. The difference in build cost between a 32gb and 64gb model is not more than 10$...they should stop that storage BS and start to realistically reflect pricing. Samsung is the biggest manufacturer of flash storage on the planet, they even have a 2TB SSD that retails for 700$ and you can easily find 1TB versions for 300$. So why do they keep charging us 200$ more for 128 measly gigs?

Also, you cannot compare Samsung to Apple. Apple is a dictator when it comes to selling their phones. There are many accounts over the years of carriers backing out of their deals with Apple because of their lack of compassion. Their dictatorship has one or two perks though...it allows them to skip carrier verification and push updates to all customers at the same time through their servers. For the rest of us, it drives prices higher, their products almost never have price drops, they almost never offer any deals or bundles...
Only one company has been able to make Apple fold, China Mobile that has taken years to negotiate a deal with apple, mostly on their terms, but when you have the biggest market in the world under one roof, i guess being a dictator doesnt always work
