Who cares about benchmarks, the user experience is the most important part. Sometimes benchmark apps give very high scores, but the ROM feels choppy and slow. That's why those benchmark apps are mostly useless, it's a bit the same story as with the 'how much free RAM can you get' stories. You guys are wasting memory by installing such as app, while we don't have to much..
In fact, MiniCM9-3.0.0 has got the best 2D and 3D performance since it uses the libs that are provided by Qualcomm, it's incredibly awesome. If you don't believe this, go ahead and test the ROM. And don't run a benchmark app, but just use your eyes and see the difference.
btw, the kernel used is nAa-ics-1 off course..

MiniCM7 and MiniCM9 for me have the best 2D,3D performance, everything is smooth and clear and games runs property ,, of course in combination with nAa kernel..

Agreed
i'm using miniCm7 too

I think personally with out over clocking stock rom (2.1) with stock kernal is the best

Amazing Performance

My atrix is now impressively fast and im consistently getting quadrant scores of 3500+. Im running ninja v 0.4.1 alpha with faux123s kernel OC'd at 1.1ghz. This makes me very glad I bought this phone! Anyone else getting scores quite like this?

That rom is actually good?

Best performance out of 3 roms so far (Gbread, Cherryblur + this), same set up as OP!
Any initial battery life thoughts?
Well I have my battery manager set to performance so im going for straight speed but as of now battery isn't too bad. Im going to try it out tomorrow when I can get a full days use out of it and report my findings.

Sound great! As a reference I get quadrant score of 2500 with 2.2.3 tmobile on top of french 2.2.1 sbf...
What about temperature?

Temperature has remained very cool as of now. I'm going to run some stress tests and see how it performs but I also have profiles set up through setcpu to decrease the cpu speed to its minimum if the temperature gets to high.
how about the battery life and battery showing jumping issue?
Jug6ernaut fixed the battery issue in the development forum. The ninja ROM does alright. Slightly better than KP's beta 4.5 for me.

you all can do the same on all roms.....you only need to improve your ram with the optimization....I don't know now here is it xD....but search and apply
I am getting quadrant scores of about 3200 and smartbench of about 2950 running cherryblur v1.2 and loving it. Every GB rom seems to be much faster and better likely due to overclocking as well as GB performance tweaks.
As for battery life, it seems to be slightly better than what I had before, but no solid data for you. I am such a happy Atrix owner right now!

Your best quadrant scores

I thought id better make this thread so people can get together and share the best quadrant scores they've been able to achieve with there Samsung galaxy s2.
When you post your scores include the following;
1:The ROM you are currently Running Albeit stock or custom.
2:What kernel you have installed.
3:if over-clocked include the speed at which its running (Min and Max).
4.Any other types of tweaks and mods you have.
5: And the finally your score.
Apart from that it would be nice to include how the battery life is etc. and how you think its the best for the speediest ROM (I'll make a chart sometime down the line with the top 10 fastest galaxy s2 phone on XDA)
These Are My Results So far;
1: Lite'ning Rom v6.1 XXKH3
2: SiyahKernel v1.2 - Battery Freindly Version
3: Over-clocked to 1.6ghz (min 1.6 max 1.6) smartass v2
4: No other mods or tweaks.
Score = 4434 Best for me so far
Im currently using lite'ning ROM because it offers me a lag free performance experience, not to keen on the blue theme but will be changing it to green soon. and as for battery life i think its very good and only sips on the battery when not connected to wifi and just pottering around town listening to music and texting with the occasional use of google maps.
Quadrant scores don't mean **** for the Galaxy S II... I guess nobody will ever learn this? Anyways I got a 6969 one time.
Villain rom
Niphetamine 2.0.4 (2.1.3 in screenshot)
200mhz/1600mhz

Like the guy above me, quadrant doesnt mean much, but i still like using it too - its addictive.

But I'm very happy with my current setup: fast and good battery life and high functionality.

Most useless app for SGS2 Quadrant .

Performance is measured by functionality and application ability in my opinion. Having an app that runs a few tests doesnt mean nothing in my eyes.
Is the sgs2 what i want it to be - YES!

Quadrant isn't using much of the galaxys resources, just compare the heat after running quadrant a few times and playing some 3d game.

Sorry but I've seen far too many of these threads. and they are all irrelephant as I am getting a quadrant score that is greater than your phone number.....
Therefore, I win.

Quadrant Benchmark for Galaxy Note - 4308 (and probably higher)

Perhaps the Quadrant Utility tool for Benchmarking needs an upgrade - the screen size is too large yet the speed test (FPS) is hidden under the screen's bottom partly.
The note must be pretty quick!
Anyways - I scored a benchmark of 4013! This was achieved after ensuring that task manager had all apps exited and memory cleared.
Update: On my third benchmark in a row I got 4308. You may check my blogs later today as I upload all the performance images.
the note is pretty good. samsung did a good job of optimising the drivers, and the GPU is surprisingly more powerful than my atrix despite the higher resolution.
Quadrant doesn't need an upgrade - it needs throwing in the bin!
It's a deeply flawed benchmark that tells you pretty much nothing about the overall performance of your device.
Regards,
Dave
I got a score of 4600 using an Interactive governor on a kernel I rolled. This makes it awesomely faster than my paltry Nexus One . Shame Quadrant is pretty meaningless as a cross-device benchmark though....

AnTuTu maybe?
Got an awesome 4395! I'm amazed by the phone's performance on Benchmarks, yet I find it just as fast as my HTC sensation on the usual day to day usage. hope updates will improve speed!

Currently, am on cm7, just as laid out by the instructions from xda. but i had been going with overcome rom for a while(it jus got boring, simple look). i always had sluggish slowing with theming. and overclocking, was at best 1200, and still accassionally slow. 2nd best rom i used a lot was also carismax rom. this was stockish, solid stable. End of the day, BIG up to cm7, stable, dead fast, looks cool, and themes dont even slow it at all.
cm7
2.6.35.7
cpu speed(i didnt even need to adjust. default is fast and stable enough)
adw launcher( honeycomb theme)
had to add rock player(from the market)
do the spare part, compatibility mode trick(enabling full screen on apps)
Thanks for sharing!
I guess I may check it out soon!
But is there no official support for cm7?

Overcome has excellent battery life. Depending use I've had it running for over 24hrs
V4 has been optimised for battery, like most custom roms. Look on overcome thread first post for all the mods... there's a lot. Easiest to install too.

NobodyAtAll's version 11.________________________________________.Alfsamsungs version 8As you can see both of the kernels get the same score at the end. But with the NobodyAtAll's kernel you get noticeably better Database IO and better Sd card reads.
And with the Alfsamsungs you get better 2D graphics and 3D just by a little bit. Also on the Recovery side you get a Touch UI in the Alfs version 8 kernel.
So let's wrap this up, if your a Gamer and want the best performance on your phone i highly recommend the Alfs v8.

you're lil test are not saying much since you're missing all specs
which rom ?
which clock speed? (cant see on the screen shots)
which cpu governor?
and how many test did you do? benchmarks result change quite often
Prime HD Alfs v8a/Naa 11 600Mhz (omdemand) Tested many many times and the 1728 was the max i was able to get on both kernels.
the test is not precise because you haven't turned off the sdcard r/w test and the result is varied in the tests
edit : it actually turned out that alfs v8 wins by 9 points

If only people could stop seeing development as a war zone...
People are sharing their work, it is not a competition.
Some like one kernel better, some like another.
There is a place here for every legit development work, so stop trying to light fires.
