Quadrant Benchmark for Galaxy Note - 4308 (and probably higher) - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Perhaps the Quadrant Utility tool for Benchmarking needs an upgrade - the screen size is too large yet the speed test (FPS) is hidden under the screen's bottom partly.
The note must be pretty quick!
Anyways - I scored a benchmark of 4013! This was achieved after ensuring that task manager had all apps exited and memory cleared.
Update: On my third benchmark in a row I got 4308. You may check my blogs later today as I upload all the performance images.

the note is pretty good. samsung did a good job of optimising the drivers, and the GPU is surprisingly more powerful than my atrix despite the higher resolution.

Quadrant doesn't need an upgrade - it needs throwing in the bin!
It's a deeply flawed benchmark that tells you pretty much nothing about the overall performance of your device.
Regards,
Dave

I got a score of 4600 using an Interactive governor on a kernel I rolled. This makes it awesomely faster than my paltry Nexus One . Shame Quadrant is pretty meaningless as a cross-device benchmark though....

AnTuTu maybe?

Got an awesome 4395! I'm amazed by the phone's performance on Benchmarks, yet I find it just as fast as my HTC sensation on the usual day to day usage. hope updates will improve speed!

I've been reading people say theyrebgetting low scores for the ota froyo so I decided to try it myself and I got 2200..ithe only I did was add a theme. I dont. Really care for quadrant scores but phone phone has become so much more responsive since I updated.

Ya, I'm getting 2k + also. Linpack is also running very fast with best of 342ms. I'm impressed. It's not only scoring great in benchmarks, but also as you mentioned very responsive.
Which versions did you guys flash, and which theme?
Please provide details about your setup (ROM/theme/package) so we can all try to reproduce your results.
Thanks
It's been said time and time again.
Quadrant is an awful benchmark. Do not use it.
I scored 2597 on Quadrant using a DK17 ROM with a stock clocked CPU about a week ago.
So please, stop using Quadrant.
Yet another post that should be in the GENERAL FORUM this has nothing to do with development.

Let me guess, the Christmas (or another) theme based on Quantum 1.5 ROM? That ROM had a specific configuration to explicitly display the futility of quadrant scores.

Your best quadrant scores

I thought id better make this thread so people can get together and share the best quadrant scores they've been able to achieve with there Samsung galaxy s2.
When you post your scores include the following;
1:The ROM you are currently Running Albeit stock or custom.
2:What kernel you have installed.
3:if over-clocked include the speed at which its running (Min and Max).
4.Any other types of tweaks and mods you have.
5: And the finally your score.
Apart from that it would be nice to include how the battery life is etc. and how you think its the best for the speediest ROM (I'll make a chart sometime down the line with the top 10 fastest galaxy s2 phone on XDA)
These Are My Results So far;
1: Lite'ning Rom v6.1 XXKH3
2: SiyahKernel v1.2 - Battery Freindly Version
3: Over-clocked to 1.6ghz (min 1.6 max 1.6) smartass v2
4: No other mods or tweaks.
Score = 4434 Best for me so far
Im currently using lite'ning ROM because it offers me a lag free performance experience, not to keen on the blue theme but will be changing it to green soon. and as for battery life i think its very good and only sips on the battery when not connected to wifi and just pottering around town listening to music and texting with the occasional use of google maps.
Quadrant scores don't mean **** for the Galaxy S II... I guess nobody will ever learn this? Anyways I got a 6969 one time.

^.^ that made me laugh.
tbh, its not the worst thread idea but i wouldnt say quadrant is good for this on the sg2. id suggest using the following.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134768
My Signature says all
My handset is only running 100 on Quadrant, 200 on Antutu and 300 on CF's benchmark, yet it's lovely to use, so as I'm not 12-years-old or a 50-year-old listening to Phil Collins in a Porsche convertible I'm cool with it.
omgg nice!!!!
Lets compare Avg FPS on angry birds next!!
Nice , goin try the fps when im home .

It is easy to achieve a high Quadrant score by using kernels/ROMs which are optimised specifically for Quadrant but does not give an increase in other benchmarks or real world usage.
On the previous page, adrianmignogna got an amazing 6380 on Quadrant and 13111, 2853, 6956 on CF-Bench. So his SGS2 must be a super whopper phone which blasts my SGS2 away since I only get 4226 on Quadrant.
However, my exact same phone when tested on CF-Bench gives 12920, 3719, 7399 which actually puts it quite close in performance against his phone (actually beats his score of 6956 vs my 7399). Note that I am using only a fully stock XWKJ1 ROM with root.

Again, this is Galaxy nexus, not the S2. And the main purpose of posting is for comparison's sake.

Totally agree with you there big boy. A good example of why this is so : My Motorola milestone 2 can get pushing up to 3500 running cyanogen mod 7. A work mates galaxy s on darky rom can only get around 1900-2200.
Yet in real life performance for speed, responsiveness, game performance his galaxy s absolutely dominates my ms2.
But all the same, it's part of the android fun just trying to push those scores as high as possible for simple kicks
Looking forward to testing out my gf's s2 with this when I get home, thanks for the tip OP

Why u all guys thinking its impossible may be of some tweaks in kernal of some in build.prop can make this type of score in antutu... Chill it's our device.... ????
Guys we all know benchmark scores are useless as they can and have been inflated by fake means. I could make a rom that blows all tests away and runs like crap.

This is true. Which is why no one pays attention to the scores. It has no bearing on how a device runs day to day.
