ok thank you...
If I could get an HTC flyer for $200, think I should go with that? I really just want the e-Book and web growing aspect... something simple, however for the same price... any one have any experience with the HTC flyer??

I like my Kindle because its just perfect for me. I'm rooted with Play Store and its BOSS. Kindle is perfect for reading as the stock reader feels like using my old kindle 3 (which I still love). Web, eh. The stock browser kind of sucks. But Dolphin HD is a replacement. I don't have a HTC Flyer so I cant tell if its good or not. Hope this helps!
P.S If this helps hit the thanks button

Any video requests?

I will be picking up an Atrix to play with very soon.
Are there any tutorial/review videos you guys would like to see? I'm going to have a bit of free time after this week so I figured I'd help some people out

[download] the new market app

found this post on captivate general forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169233
you can download the new market app if your tab has not updated to the new version yet. make sure to click 'thanks' button for the original contributor.
this update def. makes tab looks more tab-like if you know what i mean. i have been browsing book catalog for awhile and found a handful of good books.
i'd say the merge of google books and video rental service def. makes tab a stand-alone device. with samsung allshare running, im really happy with what i have right now
P.S <<search patterns>> by peter morville is a good book i just found on the market
cheers

I don't like it, looks cluttered. If I was in the US I had to have it though because of the video rentals....

The good is that you paid about half (hopefully less) for the TP than you would a ipad. The battery is good and it's a pleasure to surf the internet on it. THe screen is really good from all angles. The speakers are the best from any tablet out there. overclock to 15ghz and it's a very smooth and intuitive OS. You get 50GB of free cloud storage when you donload the box app, once you sign up it works on your computer phone etc. Hulu works on it after a simple tweak. It runs ubuntu and android gingerbread.
The bad is that there are no apps, so after surfing the net there's nothing else to do. And the few apps they make are all paid. All the games made for this thing are some adventure crap, by the way search IPK on google to get free apps. It's heavy compared to the ipad2 and tab 10.1. No one knows where webos is going.
go to http://www.touchpadplus.com/ for a simple guide to overclock your touchpad, it's a must and safe.
Hit the thanks if I helped out.
Thanx a lot that's all I was asking for really helped I just got it today I have a feeling imma be up all night again thank you

Splashtop, all I can say is, "get it", best app. It's like using your and accessing all your pc stuff on the go.
I'm a pre day one supporter. That said webOS on tp- is buggy. W/o patches to fix volume n multitouchit would be horrid. I just put android cm7 version 3.5 on tp it still has webOS on it dual boot...so the problem isn't the hardware its the software....cuz multitouch is awesome with cm7. N so on.

Think you are looking forward to some tips on using the TouchPad and apps for it, am i right?
Well, this HP TouchPad spot gathers some nice tips, such as "How to speed up HP TouchPad", "Top apps for HP TouchPad" you could turn to it.

Chrome For Android Beta

So basically its the stock 4.0 browser with the chrome skin and no flash and as of yet no chrome plugin support. But try it out anyway.
Its never gonna support flash, just like android post-4.0
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.chrome
Awesome. Thanks for the heads-up! finally something that can compete with dolphin for pad...
I thought it was ICS only?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485495
I've been using it since yesterday on the CM9 KANG in my P7500. Have to say I'm VERY impressed. Seems faster and more "desktop-ish" than the stock browser. It surely deserves a try!
working fine for me but.....
After fooling around I can't find any way to set the user agent to desktop. Is there a way, a tweak for that yet? That's quite annoying
Its ICS Only!
Well, if anyone here is not using any of the Kang CM9 ports on their GT10.1, then you don't know what you're missing. No reason for anyone to be stuck on 3.2.
No flash, no YouTube desktop site, no good.

Lol, exactly. I figured someone would mentioned the camera but I expected it would be a joke. I don't think I have EVER used the camera on this thing.
Oh well, enjoy 3.2 and no Chrome then.

Actually I use it a lot for video calls. Every time I travel it is a great way to share views from my location.
Also with Google goggles I scan foreign signs and get it translated on the fly
Oh and yes I take pictures with it
But I do like ICS, got it on my nexus s and have test driven the Kang. Just that one little thing more to make it my daily driver

The absence of Flash is my only disappointment, but I'm fairly sure that it will be fixed in further versions. For most of my activities I already replaced the stock browser for Chrome.

Amazing work
I'm actually surprised how I find my Nexus a bit slow for browsing the web. Yet if it's good enough to go into space, it's good enough for me!
Shows how Google and HTC really make a lasting product
N1 is the best :good:

N1 is surely not the fastest smartphone, but should be one of the stablest and I think that's the reason they still use it.
