Cricket Fascinate roms... - Fascinate General

So maybe you guys can help me out. New to the SF, not new to flashing/rooting/etc...
I am simply looking for a rom (other than Powerwashed) that works with Cricket with no other BS required. Just flash and reboot.
I have no idea why this forum is so much more convoluted than the Eris forums, but it's hard to find things here.

im just trying to find out if i put a custom rom on my fascinate will it remove my flash.
im running 2.1 O.F and lots of apps tell me to update to 2.2

Disapointed with microsoft taking down the roms, Heres a new place to put them.

Hey pplz at the xda, im really disapointed with Microsoft for making the xda take down the roms, im prob gona get in trouble for posting this but any way. I think we can put our roms at this site called Pxdxa.com. Its got all sort of pda software etc but at least its some where to put them. Im currenlty using Faria's v3.3 rom on my locked g4 wizard using the tool to flash the rom from the G4 thread, i want to see more roms like Farias in the future, possibly WM6, but that wont happen if we cant get the roms out there for every one to down load.
Just a thought.
Thanks

xv6800 support

I'm just curious to know if any of our developers here are working on rom's specific for the verizon version of the titan? And another question if there is any way i can get the oem rom for the xv6800 before I flash to a new one? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
same question.... i'm thinking about buying the verizon version today
search around, read the popular threads please
my kitchen can build for verizon
i have a rom posted for verizon and for sprint
a recompiled verizon stock rom is available at ppcgeeks
sorry guys but these have been covered a million times
look in the titan upgrading forum
Check out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345087
i dont know why i waited so long to do it but im glad i did. it is awesome. i was ready to throw the phone into the wall with the stock rom, so i tried this dcd's 1.6.8 rom for verizon and it is awesome. very polished and the phone and internet worked right away after the rom was updated. i didnt even need to do a *228 or call verizon to let them know my phone wasnt working due to a hard reset.
it is faster, more stable and just nice and clean re-freshing feeling. all the issues i had with the stock rom are gone.

Need a little Clarifiction

Hi all,
I was wondering for a while now, I followed the Unlckr guide on how to root my HTC Hero, but I didn't really get when the rooting stopped and the cooked ROM began.
So, breaking it down: -
What is the Cyanogen Recovery Image for? Is that just so we can enable the custom ROMs?
Putting in the new ROM, does that then mean my phone is then rooted? If I put in another Stock ROM (as I still haven't found a Donut update for Hero anywhere yet), will it be unrooted again?
What does Rooted mean anyway?
Many thanks if you can answer any or all these questions, I'm eager to know what I actually did
Take it no one knows or cares to clarify?
You might have better luck if you post this in the Q&A section. However, I reckon you'll find the answers you're looking for if you use the search.

[Q] How to install a Froyo Rom?

Hi there,
I was just wondering how to install a Froyo Rom (With A2SD Support, and 2.1 Android Version). I was wondering about this because they're saying something about "Radio Versions" and I have absolutely no idea what that means. Is it to connect to your mobile carrier? Mine's Virgin Mobile Canada, does it make a difference? I really need to know, because I can't take my chances with this phone. How do I know what radio versions I need for the Rom? Do I install it like a normal Rom? I also want one that has root access. Does that make a difference? Thanks for the help because I'm really confused at the moment. Thanks.
PS: I've searched everywhere for a 2.1 Froyo Rom but still can't find one, can someone please give me the link? The reason I don't want 2.2 is because the last time I used a 2.2 Froyo Rom I couldn't get reception to my carrier (Virgin Mobile), and I know I did something wrong, so I'm asking for advice now. Thanks.

Hi, firstly, please read as much as you can before posting
Now, the reason you can't find 2.1 Froyo is because there is no such ROM. Froyo is a codename for Android 2.2 ROMs, just as 2.1 ROMs have codename Eclair etc...
So if you want Froyo, you want 2.2.
As I have told you in the other thread, read stickies in Development. To get root access, you have to root first - not sure if you have done that, but anyway, read some howtos on rooting any other techniques and you will find out how to fllash a ROM.
Abot the Bell canada thing, I think you are on WCDMA there, which means you have to have a Radio for that - that's what the fuzz is about(about different versions of radios and their receptions). But I'm not sure if you even need a special radio, you'll have to find out in development.
Here are STICKIES
Good luck!
