I recently switched over to Verizon and got a Razr MAXX (or is it RAZR Maxx?). anyway, I have a T-Mobile Vibrant to get rid of. The XDA community has done so much for me and helping me keep my phone in tip-top shape that I've decided to give back.
The phone was returned to stock JFD. No bells and whistles, and the included 2 gb microSD is with it, with the Avatar movie intact. I have the original charging cord, the two included backs, a CaseMate case AND (big surprise) the Samsung 1650 mAh along with the stocker 1500 mAh battery.
if the phone goes to a Dev for the sole purpose of helping out the Vibrant community, it will go to him/her for free and I'll pay for shipping. if there isn't a Dev out there that needs the phone, I'm asking $100 not including shipping. I think that's fair with the CaseMate case and extra battery. the only wear on the phone is around the charging port.

Not to bash you or whatnot, but all your topics are guides or help, not development. Except for maybe the one about making the Cliq camera better.
Not saying you haven't contributed to the community (you definitely have), but I think maybe for someone developing roms, kernels, fixes is more entitled to the free phone. If you feel different I'm not one to tell you you're wrong, I'm just saying.

Not sure about the Cliq camera part as I have no idea what that is.
I have all the source downloaded and have it synced to github, I just need a device to apply it too that is not my daily driver. All I said was that I have sent him a PM and have been looking for one for some time. I know that I don't have any development topics, hence why I am wanting to get another phone.
Frankly this post pissed me off. It'll pass but I'm just saying

Not for his old baby, its a corrupt internal partition structure and corrupted internal sd. I even manually tried the reparted method, matching the partitions to exactly match mine, and it still won't play.

Had no idear. I have Dan's bad Vibrant here at my place, would it do you any good? Not sure if you solder, or if yo would be able to replace the usb port. I'm sure Dan would let me ship it, or parts, to you if you wanted to try. The usb port on it is fine.

Honestly I am getting tired of these two groups of people: 1) "I am going to sell my Vibrant for the G2 because Vibrant sucks" and 2) "Vibrant is the greatest thing ever... G2 sucks". Seriously people, they are both great phones. Get over it.

So, anyone tired of their Epic yet? Wanna trade? I have a White HTC Evo 4g that I want to trade for your Epic. I had an Epic before and want to go back to it. The Evo's GPS is amazingly accurate (unlike the Epics) and the bigger screen and no keyboard is great! It also comes with Swype now, STOCK! The ONLY way to text!
So the reason I switched was the fact that I NEVER use the keyboard and the lack of an official Froyo update.
Anyway, the phone is in great condition, comes with half a dozen snap-on cases, the stock 8gb micro sd card, and an extra OEM battery as well as the charger. All I want is the stock Epic with the oem 16gb micro sd and the charger. If you're interested, PM me.

I am in DC as well and have not had luck trying to trade someone for an Evo. Nothing from CL has panned out. I really want to trade mainly to get CyanogenMod that is supported by the project as a whole, I love the work that Noobnl has done but coming from the G1 and there is nothing like the official CM in my opinion and they almost have 4g on the EVO...

My opinion is if you love having tons of ROMs and kernels to pick from then get an Evo, if you want good hardware get an Epic. Also I'm not saying the Evo is not a good phone either I'd love to have one.
But when it comes down to it, it's all based on what you like.

For anyone who's read this thread and posted, thank you for keeping the conversation civil. Too many threads appear to be getting hijacked but all of you kept it on target. I'm sure that's only helped me to find someone to trade with. So again, I say thank you for showing respect to not only me but to your fellow posters.
I love this little phone but there has been a lack of development making it kind of boring so all the potential has been sucked away.
I intend on changing this and breathing new life into this phone.

thanks bro, i cant wait to see what they are able to do with these devices. i know they are similar to the fascinate but they have the added advantage of the ticker they may be able to do some cool stuff with it

How in the world could anyone leave a super AMOLED screen for an LCD? Samsung has the best camera and the best video player out there. I realize they aren't the best in regards to updating their firmware, but yikes. Samsung has the best hardware, hands down. I don't think I could ever leave them.

A good friend of mine just upgraded from the Incredible to the Incredible 2 and the only thing I like about it is the front facing camera. Other than that, it's MEH. The screen size is smaller than (or same size as) Fascinate, the speed doesn't seem to be any different, they are still using the LCD, crappy 1 Gig of phone memory, shipped with a small SD card... I'd take a stock, bloated Fascinate over the I2 any day... much less my fully customized, sweetly configured piece of artwork.
Bottom Line: The Fascinate is still one of the best out there, it's an amazing phone that is easy to use with great results. My kids watch movies on it all the time, the screen rocks! Games play flawlessly most of the time and it's just a very nice piece of hardware.
I do wish good ole VZW hadn't jumped away from the GalaxyS II. Now my future plans for an upgrade later this year are going to be put on indefinte hold because I really prefer Samsung.
its sad that the samsung phones tend to need modding to show their true potential, nice phones out-of-the-box, but nowhere near their potential till you start modding.
I am on hold for my upgrade as well to see what verizon will do, may have to change carriers if they dont come up with something from verizon to replace my fassy

I just want a new toy to play with and it looked like a good phone and I didn't wanna pay 350 for a replacement of her inc 2 she broke, so I ordered a fascinate. I have been reading these forums, and the terminology seems different and some things are new to me "whats this odin thing lol" but I'm really excited to mess with it and try stuff out as I have already done/tried everything available for the inc 2 since it came out. I made a thread under q&a if anyone is so kind to help a fellow flashaholic out...

odin is a program to push roms and other tar files to the phone. it is a wonderful program if something goes wrong during a flash, odin is there to recover

Odin is easily the thing i miss about my fassy the most. It really gives you a sense of security when flashing ****, since in a worse case scenario you can just odin out. none of that pg32img.zip bs.

Easy fix for that... resurrect your continuum and come back to the fold.
So get this. This chick I know had a DX2 and the screen wouldn't work right for her. I saw on facebook she was selling it so I asked how much and she said $20. I think maybe I can get it working and for 20 bucks, why not. I buy it from her a couple hours ago, plug my charger in and it works just fine. So I got a DX2 for $20 and I'm sorry to say it but I might not be around here as much. But thank you so much everybody for all you have done for the Continuum. When I first got it I was a little disappointed but after all the hard work from everybody it made the Continuum awesome.

One day I was on the verge of smashing my continuum after failed verizon and samsung support for this device. Tired of the same old crap I scoured the internet far and wide looking for ways to improve my experience before giving up. Then a friend referred me to this forum, and I must say that I no longer have the urge to flush my phone like the piece of crap it once was! I have been silently scoping the forum daily until today when I decided that the very least I can do is register to give thanks to the many such as yourself who have invested time into making this device what it is today. Thank you for making me not want to break my phone
