[Q]Money deducting automatically - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

i have a problem with my phone,whenever i was change my sim from this phone i was charged rs 1 or rs 1.50,every time this money will be deducted from my account and i get a sms from samsung( Dear gt-s5360 user,thank u for ur interest in being a part of samsung family)...so if u can help me plz give a rply as soon as possible.......
This is not due to mobile network, i checked it, its turned off!

This happened wid me too but on Hybrid Rom. Which rom are you using?

I am Same problem faceing on hybrid rom
Now I will use for another rom
That problem is not hear

I doubt if its carrier specific because the message that we receive (stated in 1st post) doesnt seem something from carrier but from sammy (samsung). May be there's some setting to it

well, I agree with ronnieryan since sajidmkhan have removed any samsungapps related from his rom. there's also a posibilty that this problems comes from installed apps in your SGY. its only my opinion anyway, but you may check it by remove all of your apps.

I've done factory reset and no, im not using two different sim cards, im only using one and every time i reinsert my sim, Rs 1.50 is being charged
may be its because of any protection that sammy has it inbuilt, still a mystery!
strange that i'm the only one with this problem

based on your explanation I can only deduct that the problem is come from your gsm provider. I thought its related with one of services that they provide. maybe you've buyed some paid apps in the past or unconsiously using a special service for android device.
some of my friends have experienced same problem here. my last suggestion is to call your provider service and ask them to stop any service which cost on you.

May be due to mobile tracker...try disabling it or delete it in system apps...

yeah it happens, looks like you don't have sms pack,
when you start an android device it sends info to carrier then you get feedback from them "thank you for being a part blah blah blah" this only happens with Indian carriers if you want to save 1rs then flash phone with European CSC or get sms pack

Same thing happened with me sometimes back ...
I myself found out a trick to stop balance getting deducted....
Here is the trick ...
When ever you want to change your sim ... Before powering off your phone... Activate the flight mode on your galaxy y ... aeroplane mode.. Then power off your phone in flight mode activated and change your Sim ... Turn on your phone with new Sim... You will see that you are still in flight mode ... Just deactivate the flight mode ... Within 5 seconds your network bar will show... But this time your balance won't get deducted

this problem seems to only effect asian/indian firmware - try flashing a firmware starting xx but dont include the csc - so only include phone and modem and flash the latest csc of your region

Galaxy note calls not working

hey guys
well the problem is that i can no longer recieve or make calls from my galaxy note...
was working till this afternoon had it in the car.. my daugher watching videos on youtube... then just started breaking.. and from that moment.. NOT WORKING...
dont know what to do anymore... flashed the original italian rom everything stock and the problem is still the same.....
everything works...wifi...bluetooth....ecc... just data stuffs.. no calls ... non sms...etc
when i try making a call i get a message MOBILE NEWTORK NOT AVAILABLE
in NETWORK OPERATORS it finds all the various networks... ie.. vodafone.. TIM...3 ITA... AND I WIND (my operator) when i click on IWIND says unable to connect. try later....
PLEASE HELP.. NEED MY FONE FOR WORK TOMORROW
ok so tried to swith network mode to gms only.. that did not resolve
put a vodafone sim in the note and the same error....
Do you have installed a third party contacts or dialer application?and a custom kernel ?.

I faced similar problems couple of times. Antenna used to show full bar, but when I try to make a call it used to show 'No Network Signal ' error.
I tried removing the battery, sim, but nothing worked.
When I switched of the data network , I was able to make calls. This happened to me in on one of the earlier GB rom. Not able to reproduce the bug.

[Q] Help, packet data not working

Hi, the packet data is not working. In settings it's enabled, but the icon next to the battery one is not shown. I tried turning it off and on, but of course, nothing happened. I'm a newbie, so any help will be appreciated.
Before it stopped working, i was testing some widgets ("power toggles", and the one of the aplication "optimize tool box"), and I updated the lighting launcher. I'm not sure that's relevant, but well...
ps: i have stock rom, stock kernel and it's root.

I get the same problem sometimes. Try restarting the phone with the packet data turned on. When the phone restarts, it refreshes the network received and that sometimes solves the problems, i.e. the icon is shown in the status bar. If you still don't get it, that means that the data network is not available by your service provider at that time.

Hi, thanks for the answers. Unfortunately it didn't work turning the flight mode on and off, or restarting the phone with the packet data turned on.
I tried the SIM in another phone and the packet data works, so it's the cellphone and not a network provider issue.
When you insert a new sim to the phone
Or format your phone
U should get two sittings massages
One for mms and one for 3g

I got those messages when i first inserted my Docomo sim. But when i switched to Vodafone, i didn't get 'em. I checked in the settings and saw that it was pre-configured.
Just restart your phone, Btw did you check your APN settings?

i too was getting annoyed by data.even d symbol(edge n 3g) is shown bt thos arrows wont animate n net wont work.i tried al sims.big worse is i hav to wait for minutes to see d dwnldng progress start aftr i tap on dwnld button in playstore.sumtimes it takes ten mins to start dwnl even after clikng dwnld button.fcuk.network or d Mobile it was d problm??

make sure you have a working APN
if not, try to insert a new sim (same network provider) and see if it updates APN settings.

i recently activated packet data on my sim but it doesn't show up the icon in status bar all other sims work on my phone and my sim works in other

Try flashing a fresh stock rom of your region.This might help you.

Theme:Xperia theme with some personal modification.
Check your APN settings if it's correctly set. Most problems occur with this.

No incoming while data connection on

whenever my data connection is on my number becomes unreachable on my Galaxy y till its enabled
on disabling it becomes available again
however i can still call without any problem anytime
i have IDEA connection
on costumer support they said to change some option about data/call priority ( they didnt know its exact menu path just said somthing similar must be there ) but its not there in any of settings
Anyone having any idea how to correct the problem

I dont think its the problem of rom.
Its ur carrier problem.
Contact them.
They will help u online.

I have big problem, i think i f#cked up my s4 because of rooting..
Now i can't call anymore, also no internet/data connection no incoming calls.
Now i have a new SIM card but it still doesnt work, my SIM card can not register on the network provider.
So please who can help me with this? I'am now trying for over a week now but still nothing....

First, check your apn. Then provide more info. What firmware are you on? How did you root it,etc.

rooting will not kill your network connection. that's something that you did. you need to provide a LOT more information in order to have people help you out,
what ROM are you on, what settings did you change, what mobile carrier are you on, etc. etc. this is a simple fix, but we need to know what caused it first. :good:

But what i know is this:
Android Jellybean 4.3
Mobile provider: Tele2
And mobile settings i didn't change..
I rooted with Odin and CF Root.
Didn't install any other rom or anything.
From one moment in another the network was gone and till today i cant connect to it.
Please help!!
I need my phone for my work...
In settings, wireless and networks, more, Mobil networks, access point names make sure something is checked there.

Well the person above me said it. You just made a mountain out of a mole hill by giving out your imei to everyone on xda. Anyway, have you tried a factory reset? If that doesn't work take it to Best Buy and tell them Kies wrecked havoc on your device and they can re-flash your phone for free. Don't tell them it was your fault.

I don't know what the problem is but you should be able to flash the stock firmware in Odin and get your phone working again. Double check this in the i9500, i9505, i9505G S4 forum. You can get the stock firmware from sammobile.com

He should be able to flash it himself. The i9505 is not locked down like the i337. It's an international version so he probably can't take it to best buy, which is what I was responding to.

Data enabled, but no internet connection

I have the stock rooted i337 (AT&T), running on another provider network. I am aware that i337 is very difficult to do modifications due to the built-in by AT&T vicious locks to prevent using it with other network providers. This is the reason I did not flash ROM, because I am afraid to get my phone bricked and lose it entirely. Recently I subscribed to a data plan from a third party provider and I have 4G in the status line and HSPA in the data type, but I still did not have internet connection when WiFi was disabled, except that my Hotmail somehow worked. No other apps requiring internet worked. I spent a week researching the issue myself as well as working with the provider's tech support, but nothing worked. Two days ago, almost out of despair, I installed a new app called Opera Max, which is developed to route the unencrypted data to their Virtual Private Network in order to compress it and save the data use. As soon as I connected to VPN, all applications started working. I still have to turn Opera Max off when I use WiFi, because it disconnects my WiFi every few minutes, claiming that WiFi signal is too low. (My signal is very strong and no other devices have any issues with WiFi). However, this is a minor problem, considering that Opera Max saved my data plan.
It is still a mystery to me why Hotmail worked, but no other apps and why using Opera Max VPN solved the problem. If anybody has ideas, I will be happy to hear.
I must say that all data settings, including APN are checked, rechecked and correct, so this was not the issue.

I am also having connection issues after rooting my S4 i9505:
I am on a Telcel (Mexico) which is supposed to support 4G connections... However, ever since I rooted I can only access 2G/GSM networks. I have the official APN network configuration and I have tried two roms but still no luck...
Any advice would be most welcome.

Check your APN settings. Also, try a SIMswap. Old sims do not like new phones, and mobile data is the first to go.

APN is done by Vodafone automatically, checked it manually too. It's proper. Of course I cut my SIM. Big sized SIM can't even fit this device.

Ahhh, there we go. Try a different SIM. Either it's too old (anything before January 2013 is too old), or you're one of the 50% where cutting the SIM causes problems.
(Yes, I know it doesn't fit. 30% of my day revolves around people with faulty sim cards.)

tried update modem?
basic problem lies on the APN setting. but if you said you have checked it and all ok, try to update your modem into your device latest modem.
I use a big simcard cut into smaller one, and no problem. I have old simcard since 2011 as well.

Like I said in the OP. I already upgrade my whole firmware. Modem is updated too but problem is still same.
Put your SIM card into another phone and test.
You may have to check with your mobile operator for data-service registration.

But, just to comment... actually, when you upgrade firmware, normally it won't flash any modem/csc. You will need to do it manually.
This is what I know when I experienced on any official firmware upgrade on my device.

yep. that's the modem.
pull it out from the zip. and flash it from ODIN under CP.
when you go to download mode, make sure you switch your phone completely OFF first. then go into download mode by 3 combo buttons.
if 1st try fail, no need to worry. repeat the same steps, and you are good to go.
Sometimes I need 3 times to succeed. Don't know why also. Sometimes 2 times, and sometimes 1 time also no problem.

I have tried multiple different possibilities to fix it but still no solution.
My bad guys. My internet package was out. (I didn't pay -.-) Paid now it's working.
