whenever my data connection is on my number becomes unreachable on my Galaxy y till its enabled
on disabling it becomes available again
however i can still call without any problem anytime
i have IDEA connection
on costumer support they said to change some option about data/call priority ( they didnt know its exact menu path just said somthing similar must be there ) but its not there in any of settings
Anyone having any idea how to correct the problem

I dont think its the problem of rom.
Its ur carrier problem.
Contact them.
They will help u online.

BTW i tried airtel Sim and it had no such problem
so it must be from operator side

i tried the new f/w for i5801 ie. i5801bvjp9. first things first, it works like a breeze. its orange branded jpf but thre are a few differences as the bluetooth is better and faster( i think ) and the battery life is far superior. though there arent any bugs as such, i cant seem to receive calls. im able to make calls send/receive messages. even edge is working fine.. i havent rooted it yet. and i was wondering if anyone else faced this problem if yes ...den do tell me how u fixed it or plan to fix it..!!
Try to flash the rom again or try another rom. Try also hard reset.

Hi this is sandeep ,
if you having prob receive calls when you are in other call ....... hear is the FIX
go to settings -> call settings -> voice call -> call waiting ( is chk marked )

I had +/- the same problem.
When receiving a call, it always stopped after the first ring and the phone began to vibrate.
I solved this that way :
Applications -> Manage applications -> All -> CLEAR DATA on every application that deals with the phone call (clearing one app could have been enough but I couldn't find which one caused the issue as the error message didn't remain long enough on the screen)
thanks for all the replies ultimately reflashing solved it ..!! have installed the new asia rom i5801zmjpf wich is for hong kong (ie default lang is chinies nd comes with an annoying chinese keyboard) .. its nt a provider software so no more orange ...!! cheers..!! nd second cannot see my imei in settings ... third is i cant root it plz help wid root ... tried all methods... including z4root , superoneclick, etc etc... HELP!!!

Galaxy note calls not working

hey guys
well the problem is that i can no longer recieve or make calls from my galaxy note...
was working till this afternoon had it in the car.. my daugher watching videos on youtube... then just started breaking.. and from that moment.. NOT WORKING...
dont know what to do anymore... flashed the original italian rom everything stock and the problem is still the same.....
everything works...wifi...bluetooth....ecc... just data stuffs.. no calls ... non sms...etc
when i try making a call i get a message MOBILE NEWTORK NOT AVAILABLE
in NETWORK OPERATORS it finds all the various networks... ie.. vodafone.. TIM...3 ITA... AND I WIND (my operator) when i click on IWIND says unable to connect. try later....
PLEASE HELP.. NEED MY FONE FOR WORK TOMORROW

put a vodafone sim in the note and the same error....
Do you have installed a third party contacts or dialer application?and a custom kernel ?.

I faced similar problems couple of times. Antenna used to show full bar, but when I try to make a call it used to show 'No Network Signal ' error.
I tried removing the battery, sim, but nothing worked.
When I switched of the data network , I was able to make calls. This happened to me in on one of the earlier GB rom. Not able to reproduce the bug.

Hi, the packet data is not working. In settings it's enabled, but the icon next to the battery one is not shown. I tried turning it off and on, but of course, nothing happened. I'm a newbie, so any help will be appreciated.
Before it stopped working, i was testing some widgets ("power toggles", and the one of the aplication "optimize tool box"), and I updated the lighting launcher. I'm not sure that's relevant, but well...
ps: i have stock rom, stock kernel and it's root.

I get the same problem sometimes. Try restarting the phone with the packet data turned on. When the phone restarts, it refreshes the network received and that sometimes solves the problems, i.e. the icon is shown in the status bar. If you still don't get it, that means that the data network is not available by your service provider at that time.

Hi, thanks for the answers. Unfortunately it didn't work turning the flight mode on and off, or restarting the phone with the packet data turned on.
I tried the SIM in another phone and the packet data works, so it's the cellphone and not a network provider issue.
When you insert a new sim to the phone
Or format your phone
U should get two sittings massages
One for mms and one for 3g

I got those messages when i first inserted my Docomo sim. But when i switched to Vodafone, i didn't get 'em. I checked in the settings and saw that it was pre-configured.
Just restart your phone, Btw did you check your APN settings?

if not, try to insert a new sim (same network provider) and see if it updates APN settings.

Try flashing a fresh stock rom of your region.This might help you.

Theme:Xperia theme with some personal modification.
Check your APN settings if it's correctly set. Most problems occur with this.

[Q] SM-G906K audio problems while calling: how solving?

I am Loris from Italy writing: I am new here and I am not sure I am doing right so, if I am wrong writing something, please tell.
After this I can tell you my problem: I bought a SM-G906K, Samsung Galaxy S6 Prime from Korea as you know, and I soon had problems while calling: if I am calling or receiving a call, sometimes soon, sometimes after some seconds, sometimes after some minutes, or sometimes it does not happen, I can not see anymore person speking on the other phone, but note: they can hear me.
I already try to call even with Skype, and it seams there is no problem: audio is ok even while reproducing video and so on. I tried making calls in emergency mode too, just to understand if some app could be bad, but I have the same problem, always and ony with calls.
What could I do? Please help me, if it is possible.
I am using a 4G Vodafone MICRO SIM card.

Put your sim card into another phone and test to see if the problem persists?
That maybe the problem of the network, not your phone.

Goodmorning and many thanks for your answer: I already did that, I already changed 3 sim card too, but the problem is going on: with my old SIII all the sims are working as well. Maybe could something work wrong between network and the phone connectivity? From Korea they told me there would not be any problems at all ... but I am seeing it is not like that.
Anyway sometimes I can do calls of 5/10 minutes without problems...so it is strange it is a network issue, is not it?

I said that may be a network problem. As you have tested with another phone without problem, I doubt that is the problem with your phone.
Try to factory reset to see if it helps? If not, it maybe a hardware fault.

I meant maybe problem between this Korean device and Italian network: could not it be? Have anyone had any experience about this?
I already tried to factory reset by Kies many times but it does not help, and I noted that updates remained on firmware, they were not brought at factory state. If it is a hardware fault I think I'd have this problem with Skype calls too or other programs, is not it? Luckly, or not, this is the only situation I can not hear from the other line ... I really do not know what to do ...
Could it be it is the mark Olleh giving problems? Maybe using a G906 not K (I think this is properly for Prime Special Edition) but S it could work good: don't you think so? K and S are the same, is not it?

Call your WIFI provider and ask them to change the channel. Mine was set on AUTO and calls were delayed up to 4 hrs. When they changed the channel (to 11) my phone worked as it should. May not be your problem but something to try.

Excuse me but what do you mean by "calls were delayed up to 4 hrs"?!
Could it be the solution changing the CSC? Maybe deleting KTC and using another key it could work ... any idea?

As the problem happens randomly, I can not tell exactly what may cause the issue.
Changing the CSC or flashing another firmware is a good idea to eliminate all software-related issues.
If you want to change the CSC, install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > Other Tools > CSC Changer.
(Note: That feature requires root to work).

Flashing the stock firmware and changing the CSC will not trip the Knox.
However, changing the CSC may need root to work. If it requires root, make sure to use a root method that does not trip the Knox.

Calls went to VM, the phone never rang. I wouldn't receive the VM for up to 4 hours later. Messages were delayed, I did not receive the message for 30 minutes from the time the person sent it to me until it finally showed I had a message.
I know it sounds crazy that the WIFI could cause a problem but it did.
Turning off WIFI on my phone did not solve the problem.
When I powered off the router/modem in my home my phone starting working correctly.
Something to try, hope it helps.

Goodmorning, surely I am tryin, but I had this problem in places there was not wi-fi ... so I do not think it is changing problems at all ... otherwise I should change something on phone wi-fi maybe ...

Well,we found out what the problem is with hearing issue while calling.Is comming from the incompatibilitty of the phone hardware network and each country networks providers.Let me explain:Galaxy G906K Lte has only 3G and Lte(4G)networks build inside.So,if you are living in a country who doesn't have 4G install yet or not all over and instead have 2G and 3G only,and this 3G it does not cover all the areas,then when are you not in the 3G antenna area you"ll gonna lose the reception because this type it does not have 2G old GSM network build inside.That means we can not use it in 2G base network countrys.I hope I helped anyone who have this type of galaxy mobile phones.

Who told me this?Nobody, is very simple:go on Settings>More networks>Mobile networks>Network setting>RAT mode setting and you will see there Ltd network and 3G network,NO GSM network(2G).So,all the mobiles from Korea are for Korea and other country's which have 3G or Lte(4G)networks.For example Korea have ONLY Lte network. That's why is for Korea and this phone was named Galaxy S5 Lte-A. You must ask refund!

Question SMS problem with Nothing phone 1

I am not able to send out SMS from my new nothing phone 1. Have tried trouble shooting with all solutions available in YouTube / Google / internet but still getting a reply 'not sent, tap to try again'
For sure you have a APN settings problem.
You must search your APN provider settings and check APN actual settings in your device

Even I am not able to send SMS to any of the numbers, @Pho3nX Tried everything..
Also after switching on aeroplane mode on and off for 3 seconds I am able to send an SMS but after that no. Moreover switching to 3G helps me send SMS. Also to some contacts, I could send SMS but that's very rare. Due to this I cant even verify my bank account on gpay or paytm! Any fixes? (I tried the Apn settings you shared but it doesn't still work)

It may well be helpful if members state the country and network and if the device is a European or Global one.

Sorry, the Country is India and the network is Vi (Vodaphone & idea)
I have the exact same issue below is the device info:
Country - India
Carrier - VI (Vodafone & Idea).
Config - 8/256GB Black variant.
OS - 1.1.2
Issue description - There is a delay in SMS(5-10 mins) and at times SMS fails to be send when using VI sim . Certain apps like Swiggy, Zomato works where it send OTP code to the registered number however issue happens when apps like banking (Axis/ICICI) sends SMS from device to their end, where it fails or gets delivered after some time and leads to a timeout situation.
From what I can see it is mostly when sending SMS and is specifically to VI Sim cards. I did not face such issue when using carrier - JIO.
Note - I was able to find a temporary walkaround with banking apps registration by selecting 3G as mentioned above and also on a separate thread. (it is a bit slow but seems to work for now).
For now have shared my issue with Nothing support I urge others who are affected to do the same as it will help to push for a fix.

yes, 3G works fine I tried it. Also maybe switching on aeroplane mode and then turning it off allows me to send SMS for a time period of 3-4 secs, that's how I verify the bank apps.
Are you planning to replace? (don't tell me that all of the np's have this issue).

I did not use the device much initially and by the time I found the issue it was too late ,replacement window expired and I don't feel that going to service center will provide much help.
Also I found a few more issues:
1)HDR videos on YouTube seems like a hit or miss most of the time, some videos lag at 4K HDR 60FPS else at times it gets stuck at 480P or just plays in normal mode without HDR option ; need to close and reopen app to temporarily fix the issue. But mostly with 4K HDR 60FPS videos this issue creeps in. Have tried YouTube Vanced, downgrading to older version but nothing helps.
2)There is also a bug with work profile where the button "text" is of a lighter shade and hence text is harder to read. This is only when dark mode is turned on but looks fine in light mode.
Have already performed multiple Factory Reset from Boot menu but issue remains. Also I am yet to receive any response from Nothing support for the concern I raised earlier.
At present I feel that it was a bad decision to buy this phone.

Iam facing the same problem,have tried everything under the sun to rectify it but without success.only the switching airplane mode on/off seems to solve problem but works once after that we back to the square one. I have raised the issue with nothing but there is no response.it was stupid decision to buy nothing

I think this issue only exists in Vi handsets @#Android4Life#

Hi Edwin, I too tried everything, changing to 3G helps a little bit. But have you got any solution on this

Try with volte disabled. I encounter this bug on other custom Roms based on A12 on other phones.
Vodafone user from Kashmir. Been able to sms properly Its working fine for me. Been able to login on all bank apps. Vodafone does have an extra outgoing sms pack u hv to recharge with. Maybe you hv a problem there. The only issue i m facing is the lock screen is buggy the display goes from grey to white
Facing the same issue with outgoing sms on the Nothing phone 1, Vodafone Karnataka India. Switching to airplane mode and then back sends the sms.
Just received the 1.1.4 update and looks like this is resolved
