I have a "burn in screen" problem at the status bar position and I think it is common problem for amoled screens

I have had no screen issues whatsoever.

I had a stuck red pixel on my first one. Promptly replaced it with a new flawless one.
It would seem there can be imperfect screens being released.

No screen issues here...

i haven't found dead pixel

other than me scratching my screen on it 1st fall, I have not problem with it.
i actually love the picture quality

Problems with my new iconia tab

Just picked up my Iconia today at staples.... after playing with it a few hours I have found some issues.
1. One stuck green pixel
2. Two bright white pixels
3. Screen randomly turns on
4. Tablet says it's charging when it's not plugged in
EDIT: Staples replaced my Tablet... no dead or stuck pixels this time but I am having some minor light bleeding on the right side of the lcd.
Ill make this simple for you. Take it back for a new one. You can't fix dead pixels and as far as I know I haven't heard of anyone else having any out of the box.

You're certainly not alone with the random screen-on thing. It's a known issue and Acer is working to fix it. As for the dead pixels... return it and get a new one!

Well I haven't seen any threads about bright or stuck pixels so I figured it was a fluke. Going to try to trade it in for a new one tommorow.

Wifi on my tablet is perfect. Works throughout whole house. And as for pixels, that was probably not a very common problem. Probably your specific device. I'm sure you won't have the pixel problem again, as for wifi, I kind of doubt it.

I'd exchange it, and if you get another bad one, exchange it too. It can't be a common issue. As far as wifi goes, I was unaware there was an issue. Mine works great. Picks up better than my Gtab, or at least seems to.
My first one had a green stuck pixel and two bright pixels. I exchanged it and the new one has no dead pixels (but does have the small light bleed on the right)
Just went to best buy exchanged other one ..charged turned on ..bang..1 dead pixel right there almost in center look at me..ha..what luck.. not sure wanna do another trip again since its only 1 pixel ..damn .. r u guys did any dead pixel test for ur tablet? is this common ? or i just had bad luck..
one dead pixel exchanged and all is well

Afraid to RMA a screen lift for fear of getting a replacement with even more problems

How likely is this horror story? (sorry I couldn't fit the whole question in the title)
My device is just great other than the screen lift. I could begrudgingly live with the screenlift. It has no dead pixels, streaks, speaker blowouts, etc. It's a C7O, four days old.
Google Support just accepted my replacement request, and I have a new N7 waiting for me to click the button. But I'm afraid to do this because compared to a lot of N7's, mine is actually in really good condition besides the screen lift. What are the odds that the send me some C6O that has screen left, four dead pixels, and a speaker that doesn't work?
However, I do have a friend who has had the N7 for a month now. I inspected his device yesterday and it's flawless. No screen lift, no dead pixels, no nothing... no fair!
Anyway, what do you think? Thanks.
I know this doesn't answer your question but .... how pronounced is your screen lift? Would you have noticed it if you hadn't read about it? Does it affect the operation of your N7?
If the screen lift isn't that bad then I would keep it. My first device had no screen lift but it had dead pixels and a bad touch screen, 2nd device had really bad screen lift and dead pixels. My 3rd device has almost unnoticeable screen lift, but everything else is perfect

Dead Pixels

Hi all,
Was messing about playing Ravensword yesterday, noticed during the loading screen that I have two, yes two dead pixels!
Shock horror, get me a replacement naow!
Lol.
But in all seriousness, has anyone else got any? If you do; what type of screen have you got?
I'm looking into mine now and will report back later.

Are they dead or stuck?
I am on my 4th handset, finally managed to get a perfect display but every single one I had before had stuck pixels.

14 on this unit. Haven't seen a ONE without defective pixels (stuck/dead). Tends to happen a lot more often on HTC devices, had to send 7 ONE X back to Amazon last year because none of them had lass then 5 defective pixels.

Ouu, didn't see this thread, I'll check.

Yeah I have heard others saying its a common HTC thing. The handset I have now has the issue where a tiny amount of light can come through the bottom right corner of the glass, but considering the flawless display I'm holding on to it for dear life
I work at CPW and checked through 5 units at my home store to find one without stuck pixels. They all had them. Wasn't until I went to another store I got a perfect one. Makes me think batch issues or sheer dumb luck!
I got 1st replacement from p4u and it's got one stuck white pixel which is visible when brightness between 10 to 60% approx but gone when full or lowest brightness I tried lots of apps but it's still there

My 1st HTC one got no deal or stuck pixel but only gap
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I've seen numerous units with gaps and light shining through them. That is far more annoying then 1-2 dead pixels that are barely visible. But 14 ... c'mon - that is not quality control. Funny thing is: I had 5 out of the box. The other 9 became visible only after one hour of usage.
I have none that I can see, I'm not going to go looking for them as with a screen of this PPI you'll probably find some if you look close enough. At normal viewing range with Auto brightness however, I cannot see anything. what I am getting is a weird screen flicker every now and then when typing on the keyboard, I seem to notice it on greys but it could be my imagination so I'll just see. The phone gets bloody hot but testing a few devices at work apparently 42c is a normal battery temp when running some intensive games, so I guess I'll just live with the device slow cooking my hand.
That flickering is "normal" I'm afraid. Also appears on fixed brightness with mine.
I have at least 5, although 1 is clearly visible now that i know it is there. Another one is on the bottom corner so not visible unless you look for it.
The others i haven't seen in a non all-black screen. Not really visible
I'm on HT339W with PANEL_ID_M7_JDI_SAMSUNG_C2_2
Pixel fixing apps did not work
Had 2 Xperia z handsets with dead or stuck pixels so switched to HTC one, had 2 of them and both had clusters of dead pixels. Awaiting 3rd htc handset now.
QA definetly seems to have dropped on this years handsets. Had 3 of the flagships from last year (returned for various faults) and all were pixel defect free first time.
Going to stick with replacement HTC ones (for now) as it is a nicer phone than the Xperia. Would really like to just get a non defective handset and use it now tho, been 3 weeks of exchanges already as I have to do it all by post.

Thins is are you looking closely with brightness fully up and using white and black pages? You're going to have dead pixels when PPI is this high, luckily under normal use you wont see them unless there is a cluster.

Something people tend to forget is that with higher resolution screens come more chance for dead pixels. This phone has over 2.07 Million pixels (2,073,600). Dead/Stuck pixels are harder to detect with a ppi as high as this.
.00009645% of your pixels are dead.
Had my HTC one for 1 day. Purchased from affordable mobiles and have seven dead pixels, faulty camera, gaps too and bottom. Give me my amoled s2 back !!!! Problem for me know is I have micro SIM and my s2 is locked to 3 UK !!!!
Knew I should of waited for the s4 and this is my punishment.

I think these things come from first batches given the race with S4.
I will wait quality control calm down a bit their eyes.
.
Dumb question. I've had a couple of Samsung devices in a row and didn't have any dead/stuck pixels - other odd blotches, but no pixel issues.
Is this not possible on amoled screens, or was I just lucky?
Believe me or not but I got some kind of curse, since 15 years I buy tons of electronics and electrical stuff but only 5% of which turned out to perfectly fine and without any problem, almost every item I buy in the past have some kind of problem on arrival or it must be claimed for warranty

Can I ask an out-of-topic question?
Samsung and JDI, who is the one producing One's screen? I saw the name of the panel is PANEL_ID_M7_JDI_SAMSUNG_C2_1 or PANEL_ID_M7_JDI_SAMSUNG_C2_2, where I can see both JDI and Samsung here
I'm getting panicky now, I'm on my 8th Xperia Z now because they all had, including this one, dead/stuck pixels!
I'm getting it exchanged for a HTC One, just hope that I won't be harassed by dead pixels! I'm only 21 and these pixels are making me age by decades, completely stressed out constantly exchanging phones due to pixel problems and having patronising blind turds in Carphone telling me they can't see anything!

Did you get answer. I also have one dead/stuck pixel on my screen, so i also like to know does warranty covers this.
By the way, does anyone know any brand with an acceptable quality control? I have tried almost everyone and each time I buy a new phone I am made to do a lot of RMAs until I find the right one. Dead pixel is the problem I find most commonly. Even a brand new S9+ I have just bough has got several dead pixels together.
