[ROM][ICS][P7300/P7310]Official CyanogenMod 9 [2012-09-03] - Galaxy Tab 8.9 Android Development

This is the official CM9 port for the P7300 and the P7310.
EXPERIMENTAL BUILDS 2012-09-03
These builds uses the Linux 3.1.10 kernel and the libs from the official P7310 ICS firmware (the P7300 has borrowed the RIL lib from the official P7500 firmware).
Known issues is some graphics glitches in landscape modes that sometimes appear and that running Google Maps makes Android restart after ~1 minutes use (There's something with the compass sensor driver that goes berserk). And yes, both cameras works.
Important: First install Clockwork 6.0.1.2 in the second post if this thread. If you use the old Clockwork you will get a black screen on the first boot and you will need to do a long press on power to get it running again.
EDIT 2012-09-05 - Do not use Clockwork 6.0.1.2, possible risk of bricking (not sure yet if permanent or if it can be fixed). Using old recovery works with the new builds but you will need to do a long press to get the display working after each time you have booted into recovery.

Instructions
Be aware that everything you do is on your own risk!
Make sure you know your way around in Clockwork recovery.
BACKUP your old install
Install CM9, then install Google apps. Do not forget to wipe.

Changelog
2012-03-02 - We're official! But I'll keep uploading "nightlies" here until the buildbot starts spitting out new builds automaticly. However for changelog I recommend keeping and eye on what get's merged here: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#q,status:merged,n,z
2012-02-27 - Freshly synced against CM repo.
2012-02-10 - Soft keyboard is now always enabled.
2012-02-08 - Changed PRODUCT_RELEASE_NAME to GT-P7300/GT-P7310. Synced source with CM9 where the required patches for 3G and KSM now has been merged.
2012-02-03 - Fixed battery stats (thanks motley) and also added KSM support.
2012-01-30 - Touchscreen driver rewritten to use multitouch slots which I believe is the new standard in ICS. Seems to work a lot better than the old method.
2012-01-27 - Updated 3G fix (airplane mode is supposed to be fixed). Added bluetooth toggle in notification area + wifi toggle.
2012-01-26 - Added undervolting and more overclocking frequencies (stolen from Motleys kernel). Fixed screenshot feature.
2012-01-24 - Both: Some improvements to Torch (no longer flicker, added bright mode to kernel, quick and dirty fix to widget size) and also fixed the battery indicator in low power mode (charging when off) P7310: Removed signal strength bars
2012-01-23b - Enabled CIFS, NTFS and TUN in kernel. Replaced sensors.p3.so with P7300 version.
2012-01-23 - Youtube HD now works. New proprietary libs from pershoots repo. Also modified pershoots P75xx kernel to work with P73xx so it is no longer using Motleys kernel (although several files was kanged from Motleys kernel to make pershoots kernel work on our devices). Now uses bootanimation.zip from Xoom ICS release (looks pretty much the same as before). CIFS, TUN and NTFS is not included in this release but will be added in the next one.
2012-01-11 - Resynced source, tweaked autobrightness, added Torch from CM7 (untested since my camera LED is broken)
2012-01-09 - Initial release
Known issues
Camera is not working.
Compass is 90 degrees wrong.
Rotation animation "blanks out" before it starts.
Voice calls (P7300 version) isn't working although some report recieving calls work while outgoing calls is a not.
HDMI output is rotated 90 degrees.

At least one other user have ended up with the same problem. Not sure if it is something with the new kernel or just a coincidence but I recommend to reflash 6.0.0.8 for now.

Instructions

Flash from either stock recovery or another Clockwork recovery.

Thats great to see

Camera works?

Definitely the smoothest experience I've had on this tab; having tried Stock, Overcome and ICS Alpha 2.
Edit:
Camera and Video playback (Youtube, YouTubeHD, Netflix I'm assuming) are of course a no-no still at the moment.
SD Card Video playback has been no problem for me, save for a bit of stuttering on high profile MKV's, but that's the same on every rom.
Streaming Icefilms worked flawlessly, which leaves me happy.
All I want, a fix for the strange half a second Rotation stretching, HD video playback fixed, and ma camera! This would be the perfect rom.
The currently running widgets thing has the app photos rotated 90 degrees, and the screen streches for half a second when rotating.
Otherwise, I'm very happy to see that my tablet is capable of attaining speeds like. Absolutely flawless; what I would give to have a complete ICS rom. xD

Great to see another ICS pop up. I was getting random freezes with Alpha2 as well...I'm assuming its probably related to the kernel?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

One annoyance however; no Market comes with the stock flash, and neither does a file explorer apparently. -___-
EDIT: Finally managed to get market installed, and it insta closes on start. =[
And then I realized its because I failed to remember to flash the Google Apps. -____- haha

Cool Race
Hi, presumably the reace between Alpha 2 team and CyanogenMod9 team is on...
will be interesting to see (and feel) the results once they become Beta...
Looking forward for the result of both teams !

I have no intention to start any competition. We both have the same goal, a stable and fully functional ICS for the Galaxy 8.9, and I believe sharing thoughts and ideas is the best way to achieve that goal.
And btw, I'm not a team, and while I am responsible for another CyanogenMod port (ZTE V9) this is not by any way yet an official CM9 port. Maybe it will be one day, maybe it won't.

Adding to that the fact that this is, as the title says, based in CM9 whereas Galaxian Soup's ICS is no longer based in CM9, just AOSP. Both stances are great. The more the merrier I say! This community needs more ideas, more development and talented people like you, alterbridge86 and Team Galaxian Soup. For this, I thank you.

great rom.I like this rom(maybe batter than galaxy soup alpha2).It is smooth as other roms and fixed the auto bright level on the galaxy soup(it's important to me).thanks the good work.

This ROM is run is running real well for me....looking forward to future updates.

see your device is 7300
3g data work?

No voice functions
When this ROM gets the voice functions working, I'll try it again. Until then, I'm going back to Galaxian Alpha 2 where it all works perfectly.

Have you tried their Gapps package? I believe that is what adds voice functionality.

Actually we already have a kernel that supports 3G and has the needed ICS fixes, but it doesn't help, the CM9 ICS build has data disabled.
We (Galaxian-Soup) are working on making a ICS build that has data enabled.

Here's a totatally untested P7300 version: update-cm-9.0.0-RC0-p5-KANG-signed-20120112.zip
May or may not work. Kernel compiled for P7300 and based on pershoots P7500 repo. Used the same proprietary files as in the P7310 version except for the ril lib.

Remix Andromeda3 at UOT Kitchen
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
UOT Kitchen provides the ability to make your own custom release of Andromeda3.
Introduction:
In the beginning there was the work. In that work is Andromeda, and in Andromeda is the work. We've released Andromeda 1.0/2.0, 1.1/2.1, and 1.2/2.2. This is Andromeda3. Andromeda3 is the result of countless hours of development. Andromeda3 is the single Clockwork Mod flash-able ROM you should keep at all times in your phone's downloads folder. It just works.
This ROM contains the fastest kernel, the best combination of software, and it delivers outstanding battery life. Because of this, we feel it sets the standard which all ROMs should strive to attain.
For maximum battery life, disable “Auto adjustment of brightness” and “Auto rotation” under settings for the battery experience you've always wanted. These are classy and useful, but thanks to Samsung's driver, they can eat up to 25% of your processor at idle under certain conditions.

Originally, our Nighties were hosted on Google code. We ran out of space on the SVN and re-hosted on our Team Komin server. The SVN revision were reset to 0 as a result of clearing out all data. An extra special thanks to our unsung hero mxracer101. The kernel is the most important and unnoticed part of any ROM. The kernel is the pillar which the android layer stands upon. mxracer101 has developed the i9010 kernel for our phones which provides indisputable performance gains over stock, all previous build and provides compatibility with nearly everything... Like running Ubuntu 10.10. This is all done by building specific parts of the kernel as modules which are loaded when required rather then delete them or bog down the kernel by building them into it.

Ok I don't mean to really ask, but will this work with the andromedena tek galaxy theme? I really like that theme, and the ROM I only want to try the newest one. Keep up the awesome work
EDIT: the theme does indeed work on A3 if anyone wanted to know

awesome, so i'm assuming that there will be no need to wipe for users coming from 1.2?
another thing that crosses my mind.. audience chip, it's been incorporated since the day 1 afaik..
is it only compatible with the 9010 modem (jl2) and the captivate modem (kb1)? Only?

[ROM][BL1.2] Gingerbread Rom Collection for Bootloader 1.2 Gtablet\Zpad T2

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. By running this firmware mod, you agree that there is the possibility that you may brick your device and neither myself, XDA nor Viewsonic are responsible for supporting you if that occurs. In this case, it is required that you learn and setup nvflash prior to running this mod.
1. Make 100% sure you are at Bootloader 1.2
2. Recommend using Clockworkmod v3.0.2.8 (Bootloader 1.2) tools for flashing.
These are CM7 based ROMs for gtablet with bootloader 1.2(ZPAD T2 should work. But no confirmation from any one yet). It is an integration of different CM7 based rom build and Clemsyn ver 11 1.5ghz Kernel / Pershoot 1.4ghz Kernel (bootloader 1.2) with some tweak learning from Calkulin's Rom. It is pretty similar to Calkulin+Clemsyn 1.5ghz Froyo Combo VERSION 6, while it is for gingerbread.
All the credit goes to the authors of the based rom and kernel. Special thanks to Roebeet for his excellent works on gtablet.
Features:
1. Overclocked by default (max frequesy adjusted by battery level) (For Clemsyn's kernal, check on his original kernel post on how to undervolt with pimpmycpu)
2. Tweaked internal storage & SD card read speeds
3. Annoying ads in programs are blocked
4. Calkulin's battery saving script
Issues:
1. usb pc mount does not work on Clemsyn's kernel

For those who want to build the CM7.1 RC1 or nightly build, take these steps:
1. grab the cm7.1 build, grab pershoot/clemsyn GB kernel for BL1.2, grab the build_script from my cm7.1 rc0 rom.
2. merge the pershoot kernel ans system directory into the cm7.1 build. replace any files if it already existed. replace the build_script with the build_script in my rom.
3. zip them and you should have a cm7.1 for BL1.2 with pretty much the same as BL 1.1. Make sure the directory structure is correct in the zip file.
4. you could use this trick for pretty much all the GB roms based on cm7 mixed with any GB kernel
Warning: this is not and not intend to be a detail instruction. you should at least have certain degree of knowledge about what is going on with this and what this is all about to build a rom. If you brick your device by any chance, I am definitely NOT the right one you would look after. If you are not sure, wait someone else to build the rom for you.
Downloading now! Thanks!
Feels good. It is very smooth. Quadrant scores 3400 out the gate. Very cool.
Is the nvrm_daemon edited in this rom to bring the refresh up to 60?
Wondering if I still need to install this to take the refresh up.
Vlad_z said:

A nice option for 4349 users who don't want to risk jumping back to 1.1. Thanks for setting these up!
I've been requesting that the cyanogenmod devs actually consider doing this, as well. I also heard a rumor (and it's just a rumor) that a new stock ROM is in the works, and will likely replace 4349 and be on 1.2 as well. So I personally think it's in our best interest to start moving to 1.2 (plus that's likely to be what any HC ROM will be on).

any chance of froyo on 1.2?
Already done, just not here on XDA. I started posting again after a 2 month hiatus, but I'm not moving my 1.2 ROMs here except as a link (and I'm not permitted to do that).
Google "gtablet 1.2 firmware" and you'll find them.

Brilliant Corners. It feels just like froyo with some tablet tweeks. The only UI diffference I notice in tnt base roms is the notification bar and system settings.

Brilliant Corners, as just mentioned, and Century Eyes. The latter used to be "gAdam" here on XDA but I ported it to 1.2 in April. It's the Notion Ink Adam EDEN UI, ported to the GTAB.
I don't think anyone's ported the zPad interface to 1.2, tmk. Although technically the newer zPad ROMs are 1.2-based themselves. I mention the Adam a lot, but I keep forgetting that the zPad is almost identical to ours and they moved to 1.2 a few months back, I believe.

how hard is it to make a zpad rom compatible with 1.2?
is it hard to port roms, i kinda want to start learning. Im decent at themeing.
The original zPad (Wifi) and our GTAB have identical hardware. Rothnic used to create mods of the zPad firmware, and it was mainly rooting it, altering the language to English and tweaking the apps as needed. But all the hardware worked as-is, including the camera. The original zPad firmware was 1.1 dev branch based, just like our GTAB was.
I heard that the zPad T2 is, I believe, 1.2 based. But don't quote me on that as I've never messed with that fimware (last update was in March, as per a quick Google search). If Malata managed to create a full GB or HC ROM for the zPad, we should be able to easily port that to the GTAB, easier than even the Adam.
As for ease, it's mainly a lot of trial and error, and lots of nvflashing when you soft-brick it. Even with the zPad, there's build.prop changes and app changes to make it more English friendly. Plus Gapps, of course.
There's a cm7.1 RC for the harmony platform? ?? Cool! I didn't know that

I personally had both Calkulin's + Clemsyn and Beasty's + Clemsyn for my daily use for a while. Both rom perform supper well. supper snappy. the only problem for me is froyo does not support "wifi location" and it is unfixable as far as I know. I also get excited about the honeycomb rom for gtablet and use Roebeet's great BOS for a while. The UI is beautiful and it is reasonably stable and perform after 4.0. However, it is too laggy for my taste because of the lack of opengl support. The reason why I compile these roms are: I want the speed of those 2 great froyo roms. I also want to use a lot of applications that need wifi location support and I want to stay on 1.2.
The quadrant score of CM7.1RC + Clemsyn's is very close to the above 2 roms (around 4000 in my test). give CM7.1RC + Clemsyn or CM7.1RC + Pershoot a try if you like the speed of those 2 froyo's rom. You will be surprised by the performance of these 2 roms.

the point is to downgrade from 2.3 to 2.2.
Maybe this might help clearly.Just Terramino(rom complier)claims that 2.3 is like a poison ivy covers your device very tight;so repeat the loading 2.2 action 3 times for better clean.
Downgrade from 2.3.5 back to 2.2.2
1) Download U8800 V100R001C00B138SP04 (Overseas General) Android 2.2.2
2) Extract the "dload" folder and copy it (along with its contents) to the ROOT of the SD Card.
3) Turn on your U8800 while holding [VOL-] and [VOL+] and the Android 2.2.2 install should start.
4) Once finished you should be back to 2.2.2.
5) If you phone does not boot correctly power on phone while holding [VOL+] to boot into recovery and Reset to factory defaults.
6) Delete the "dload" folder from the SD Card.

important!
Even if you don't wipe data/factory reset, the rom will automatically delete all user data by itself,so backup all your applications, sms, call logs...etc. if necessary
INSTALLING:
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe Cache partition
- Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Mounts and Storage -> "mount /system"
- Mounts and Storage -> "format /system"
Finally install zip from sdcard -> select ROM file
After installed, go to Spare Parts and run it. Then choose Window animations and Transition animations options to Fast. In this way, the desktop will have increased fluency.

Dalvik Cache cleaned and re-adjusted during installation. For this reason, the phone still will be slow during the initial boot. Shut down and restart the phone after first opening. Now you see the opening of the phone quickly, around 30-38 seconds.

Alternative kernels for Elite ROM v9.6
dream4 said:
http://www.mediafire.com/?0jibeitpy4f4ivl
Elite rom's alternative kernels:You may want to try for different purposes.
Franco Kernel: Last franco,(most know its fame)If you want high performance use with 3d drivers.
Suggested cpu:600-1024 smartassv2.(Tether doesn't work with Franco)
Stockwell Kernel(Elite comes with this): If you prefer tethering, then use this kernel.(native usb tethering works, wifi tethering may need an app like Barnacle). If you prefer 3d drivers, then use 368-1024 smartassv2.If you want longer battery choose 368-600 smartassv2.(It'll be still fast).During video recording, use 544-1024 conservative, after shoot return 368-1024 smartassv2.
Stockwell Kernel 2: A modified version of Stockwell kernel.Battery performance is better.Tether may not work,so test on your own phone if you need tethering.Suggested speed 368-1024 conservative. If you want more battery life, prefer 368-600 conservative(It'll be still fast).During video recording prefer 544-1024 conservative, after that you can return 368-1024 conservative.
Ps:Guys,in our forum all users are really happy with this Elite both with three kernels.Everybody is reporting really high battery performance.Don't hesitate to try which will be more suitable for you.

Extreme touch sensitivity is reduced due to factory 2.3.5 software.

TerraMino says:
If you want to use the Elite ROM v9.6, B163 factory software must be installed on your phone. If you have installed the factory software 2.3.5 before, you should definitely doing the following steps for B163.
Be sure to backup your IMEI. Use an external SD card during all transactions below. B163 dload folder on an external SD card.
B163 Install the first time. Installation ends and the phone is opened by turning off and on again for the second time so as to B163-ROM install.
After installing the second time, wait for the phone opening. Remove the SD card and the screen went pink then off to install the CWM 5.0.2.3
Open phone by CWM and do all the wipe process.
Then re-insert the SD card and install the B163 for the third time.
The phone opens to shotdown and re-install in the pink screen the CWM 5.0.2.3
These steps are the traces left by the stock 2.3.5's completely clean.
If you do not install 3 times B163, you may experience various problems.
TerraMino says's end
Installed this ROM and for now everything is fine!
No problems with Wi-Fi for now, going to restore my APPs with Titanium Backup and see if everything is fine. Thanks!

I was glad for you
Quick thoughts and facts about the .35 kernel version (see post #11)
- Custom theme as stock, blends a little blue and ICS-esque stuff into the default theme, and I love it, looks really fresh
- ICS icons too, not a big fan of them, luckily there's always the Vexillum Project icons to use. The font is awesome.
- It's based on MIUI 2.1.13 and it uses ret4rt's 2.6.35.7 kernel dated January 13th
- English is default language, Traditional and Simplified Chinese are the other choices
- Speaker still has the buggy and crackling sound while playing music
- Can't say if it's faster than ret4rt's MIUI, needs a few days of testing at least
Will edit this post later on as I see fit
I think performance X is of interest for more

hey guys is there a way to get a launcher that is super smooth and not laggy in landscape because every rom is so far but I found out that if you long press the power button and select torch, it FC`s the navigation bar and the launcher is liquid smooth with zero lag until the status bar kicks back in, so does that mean it is the status bar hogging some memory ? I've tried this with Tlaunher and nova launcher with the sane reault

I found the following issues
1) Apn config file contains errrors. It include the wrong configuration setting for Mobifone. mnc values should be "01" rather than "00".
<apn carrier="Mobifone MMS" mcc="452" mnc="01" apn="m-i090" user="wap" password="wap" mmsc="http://203.162.21.114/mmsc" mmsproxy="203.162.21.114" mmsport="8000" type="mms" />
<apn carrier="Mobifone" mcc="452" mnc="01" apn="m-wap" user="mms" password="mms" type="default,supl" />

2) Weather (in Rom Control) doesn't change to Metric values, location not shown, day of week not shown. Hope that it will show even weather graphic soon.
As this Rom is so smooth, I will need to dig deeper to find problems. . Thank you for your great work.
Try ADW launcher EX, the best so far as per my user experience. Smooth and customizable

Thank you for a great work!
I have found a couple of issues that you may check out if yiealds to other tabs or if it is just to my tab.
1. The torch does not work and makes the launcher to halt, then the launcher restarts and restores itself (without the tab restarting).
2.. By charging the telephone in Shutdown mode with wall outlet cable, the battery animation runs. After some seconds the creen dims in two- thre steps until it turns off. Then the screen lits up fully again and cycles this procedure. Is it a bug or a feature? It might be best if the screen dims down to the stage off or to the level before off to charge faster and not to have a discodance when charging in the night
3. What does the file "Unicorn Porn" do? Strange name for a ROM-file ... Is it a jokeful name or a harmful file that has infected my tab (same logo as the Rom Control). Edit: I guess the file has something to do with boot animation that does not work on mine when toggle off not bootanimation. Maybe separate bootanimations have to be installed...
4. When using SetCPU, the voltage control in the performance menu under Rom Control does not show proper values. It is however only a minor case as they show properly in SetCPU.
Thanx again!

flashed this on top of cm9 with only cache&dalvik wipe (just for fun ) and all is running good so far!!
edit: crashes when activating torch from the toggle menu.
[Q]Is there a way to hide the taskbar? would really love that option but couldn't find it anywhere...

Holy Crap! My Tab is flying and ICS is awesome on this thing.... thank you so much. I'm also running AOKP on my GNex... so this is a nice little touch to now have them on both devices... thanks again, keep up the amazing work.

This is essentially the same rom as we published for the A200 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693179 and here: http://www.acertabletforum.com/forum/acer-a200-roms/10043-rom-a200-omnirom-kitkat-4-4-2-a.html
We have now modified our sources to support also the A500!
Why Omnirom, and not Cyanogenmod ?
Google , through AOSP repository, has dropped support for the Tegra 2 platform. The Tegra 2 does not support the 'neon' instruction set, and more importantly relies on a set of old (ICS) proprietary hardware libraries. AOSP has dropped support for both non-neon devices and the older hardware libraries.
Cyanogenmod has decided to follow AOSP on this and has dropped Tegra 2 support since CM-10.2. With CM-10.2 the differences were not yet very big and could be overcome. But with CM-11 it has become an unreasonably large effort to add Tegra 2 support.
Only Omnirom, for now, has included the forward-ported code in its repository to support machines like Acer A500
How to install
Recovery
To flash this rom, it's necessary to have a recent recovery (at least CWM 6.0.4.4 or TWRP 2.6.3.1) having Selinux capabilities.
Otherwise the flash operation fails with status 0 or status 7. There are also some problems installing GApps with Thor's recovery v.1.8.1.
We recommend using CWM 6.0.4.5 by nelsontky: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2583710
Flashing
Boot in recovery mode to flash the KitKat Rom.
First, don't forget to execute a 'Wipe Data/Factory reset'
Flash the KitKat Rom
Flash the Minimal Gapps
Do a 'wipe cache partition'
Flash the SuperSU zip file if you need it
Flash the Netflix fix if you need it
And reboot System !
Be patient on first boot... There's a lot of background work to do, before coming to the 'Welcome' screen. Don't worry if you are stuck with a black screen for several minutes. Next boot will be much faster.
After first configuration, it's recommended to reboot the tablet to avoid some unstabilities after 1st boot.
Enjoy KitKat !

Build 1&2 were for A200 only.
GApps are here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
For the A200 the Pico package is the only one that is small enough so we generally recommend that. The A500 has more space in the system partition and should be able to use the larger packages as well.
SuperSU is here: (needed only if you wish to have a full rooted access)
SuperSU is needed for root, get the latest CWM flashable zip from here:
[2014.02.06] SuperSU v1.93 - xda-developers
Netflix fix for builds 1-4 (not needed for build 5) is here: netflixfix.zip
Flash in recovery. It will just copy this simple script to init.d. It is run during boot and changes a setting in the Netflix configuration to use a player backend that works with the Tegra 2. This is a workaround for a bug in Netflix that makes it choose a video player backend that is incompatible with the Tegra 2. The config file is created the first time Netflix is started, so the very first time you start Netflix it will force close. After that, reboot, and then Netflix should work.
Remember : in all cases, it's a good idea to make a backup before installing!
We're not responsible, in any way, if you brick your tablet!
Big thanks to:
- the Omnirom team
- pjsports for the A500 JB kernel and device tree
- nelsontky for building the recovery
- and everyone else that has been working on the Iconia A500 / A200!
The kernel, and the device tree are available at GitHub: IconiaHD Github

I'd really prefer to see someone port a clean working copy of CyanogenMod 11 to this device, personally. the TegraOwners team already has a working port of OmniRom on the A500, which is a little laggy, but otherwise fully functional(including netflix, sound recorder, etc.)

Well then why not try doing it yourself?
The main idea with this rom is to provide an open source alternative for the A500. Not everyone appreciates the closed source policy at the "other forum".
sorry, I sort of worded my post a little harshly and it came out wrong.
I'm actually plenty happy to see an alternative to their roms, and to see that someone is working on the A500 at all.
I meant to say that although it's nice to see, I would personally rather see someone try to port it(even if it's a failed attempt, and post their results so others can try and help out), even though it's a lot of work and a lot harder than AOSP at the moment.
Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge or skills to get any rom working on any device. I've even tried compiling roms before, and failed. Maybe someday!

Ok no problem. We actually did try to build CM first. But we could never get it to display the user interface because of the missing support for our graphics libraries. When we realized how big the effort would be to get it working, and that support was already available in OmniROM, we switched. I don't know about Thor, but I'm guessing his reason for switching to omni were similar.
Our sources for cm11 are on github, in branch "cm11" and only in the a200 device tree. It's a fair bit behind the OmniROM version now though. It would be better to take the omnirom branch and modify it back to CM format. The differences between CM and Omni device trees are not very big.
Edit: I should add that the challenging part would be to modify the CM android_frameworks_av and android_frameworks_native packages to add support for the tegra2 libraries. There alse seems to be a quite new bug in the CM build system that makes it compile in neon instructions even when it shouldn't.
Prefer anything over CM, thanks! I'll have to reroot since I upgraded to the latest version of ICS. I'll report back any issues.

Yes, overclocking is included. You just have to enable it in the developer options.
I found a workaround for Netflix here: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_hardkernel_odroidu2/blob/cm-10.2/conf/98netflix
It seems to work also on this rom, it displays the interface now instead of just closing. But nobody in the team has a Netflix account so we haven't been able to get further than that. I made a simple flashable zip to install the fix. Simply flash it in the recovery. It will just copy one file, and not touch anything else. The download link is in the first post.
Flashed and it worked. I was able to stream and all good. Awesome!

USB Device Not Recognized
Hey everyone,
Sorry if this is a dumb question... I just picked up an A500 tonight, and can't get the USB drivers to work. Specifically, when I plug in the cable I get "USB Device Not Recognized". As a result, I can't get into boot loader mode, etc. I downloaded the Acer driivers, the Universal Android Drivers, etc, and it does the same for all of them. Any ideas?
Thanks!
