[Q] ZTE Blade GEN1 TFT 2.2 ROM --recommend - Blade General

Hello,
I have Orange San Francisco branded ZTE Blade here
it is Gen1 with TFT screen.
it was bought with Android 2.1
I would like to update it to 2.2
what my requirements are:
-> android 2.2 that will work with European ZTE Blade
-> it has to be very stable and it has to work (I tried CyanogenMOD 7 on my Desire HD today and autofocus did not work, market crashed from time to time so I reverted to stock rooted 2.3.3)
-> for the reason above I prefer something that is very close to vanilla 2.2
-> should be faster than stock 2.1
any ideas what might suit my needs best?
I heard about FLB-Froyo G2 for ZTE Blade
is it good?
is it stable?
is there something better?
Thank you very much in advance
//edit:
I already rooted this Blade and installed Clockwork Recovery 4.0.1.5

OK, I tried
Swedish Spring RLS5
FLB-Froyo G2 R10b
I like Swedish Spring RLS5 very much
is there anything better?

as to 2.2, i. used to stay on Swidish Spring RLS5 for months, and I must say it's does a great ROM -stable, smooth, clean and with good battery life. deserve you a try. now I am on 2.3.

Well there are other 2.3 roms than Cyanogen. Why don't you update to Gen2? It's easy, check out Wbaw's thread here in XDA.

Japanese Jellyfish is a really decent gen1 FroYo ROM it's by Kallt_Kaffe, it's over at MoDaCo

If you want the best battery life, stick to Swedish Spring RLS5. If you want more goodies try CyanogenMod 7. But Swedish Spring is considered one of the best froyo ROMs and many prefer it to CM7.

[Q]Reverting back to stock rom

I know that san francisco has got 2.1 eclair rom which is relatively slow compared to froyo. I mean really slow + froyo allows the user to install apps on sd which is a big advantage when you only got 1xx mb internal memory. So i would like to ask that is there a way to revert back to official rom (2.1) when the official update comes or once you install custom 2.2 rom, there's no turning back.
I used to own other android phones and what i know is that some roms are non downgradable, is it the same case with san franciscon? or you can just flash 2.1 official rom over 2.2 custom rom whenever you want? or do you have to keep nand backup and all that?
EDIT: my bad, please move it to general section !
Yes, you can flash 2.1 back whenever you want, unless you upgraded your phone from gen1 to gen2.

am i missing something? what's gen1 and gen2?
gen2 are phones which came with 2.2 preinstalled. You can upgrade gen1 to gen2 (there are instructions on modaco forums).
But you can't get back to GEN1 afterwards (you can but it messes IMEI up) And only a little selection of ROM's work On GEN2

[Q] Suggestions anyone?

First off I'm a complete noob at rooting and installing custom firmware on phones - I completely messed up installing CM on my G1 and so I gradually restored it to vanilla 1.6. Have recently fallen back on it since my Desire Z died (*sob*) which was dainty compared to the rock solid G1 so I thought I'd make the most of it until I find a suitable replacement.
Have seen 2.3 GB running on it in some youtube vids, CPUs were overclocked to try and cope with it though since its not designed for G1.
Any suggestions for custom ROMse? If possible please provide the guides for them too. Am with UK T-Mobile if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance.

The COS-DS ROM is pretty nice. The Gingerbread kernel was modded for the Dream/Sapphire by ezterry. There are a few small bugs but it's snappy even with the default ADW. If you have a recovery image installed then it's no trouble installing the ROM, just toss the ZIP on the SD card and use "install ZIP from SD card" from recovery.

[Q] cant install 2.2 to CM7

Hi all!
I tried to install Froyo 2.2 Jellyfish, EFIN, flb ROMS but when them are flashed then I see only Android logo but not boot logo so not work and CM7 ROMs works fine!
So how I can fix it?
can I?
and where I can get kernel for ZTE Blade CM 7.1 RC?
edit: IN cm7 OR NEWER CM7 the voice search is not work, how to get work it?
Are you Gen 1 or Gen 2?
I bought ZTE Blade II which used Froyo and now I use CyanogenMod 7 GingerBread 2.3.4...
So my Blade is GEN2
I use clockworkMod and sometimes ROM Manager ....
So, Do I need the GEN2 Froyo ROM to get it to work on my Blade?
=)

Yup, that's why I think it wasn't booting. Try Swedish Spring. It's Gen 1 and Gen 2.
OK, thanks!
Right now I don't flash it to 2.2 because I use CM 7.1 RC which have good free memory so I can do something with my boring blade!
only problem is tat the battery ends too fast! that is really bad!

[Q] Quick Update please

Hi.
I haven't been around here for a few months.
I currently have GSF beta 18 on my ZTE Blade which satisfies me, is there a new Rom that is "far better" than my current one?
I read something about Gen3, can anybody tell me, what that is (Only know about Gen1 and Gen2)?
CyanogenMod is currently the best rom available, and Gen3 isn't necessary at the moment.
Cyanogenmod works great! Is very smoothy and all games works perfectly.

[Q] Best and stable 2.3 custom rom

Which is the best and stable custom rom for Generation 2 ZTE Blade aka OSF? I am currently using gingerstirfry beta 17.
Pls send it's step by step update process too.
I read on some forum that Ginger fish&chips or something like that is best available rom.
Thanks in advance
Well... some of the original ZTE Blade Roms should work best. As less as you modify the more stable it is
You should maybe just put the official ZTE Blade Rom on your device...
CM7 is not that stable... the Elite Blade Rom works nice but I had some reboots with it.
I would say CyanogenMod 7, others would say different! but CyanogenMod is pretty darn good
Cyanogenmod 7 is awesome for zte blade
Send from ZTE Blade
All recent 2.3 are very stable.
I also recommend CM7 as it has so many additional features, can't live without the bar to switch on/off wifi/3G/music/screen orientation/whatever you want when pulling down the notifications. It's so great that i can access this any time.
My 2 Cents
Having moved up/on from WM6.5 to Android I must say that CyanogenMod 7 is brill. I flashed both Corvus5 and GSf r4 both of which are good in their own right and tested each over a 2 week period. I'm running CM7 on both my Vega tab and Blade and I must say what a thrill. Fast, responsive and no crashes yet (touch wood). My 2 cents
