What has Rome Android 4.0.1 and looks like the SGN (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi all together,
sorry that I now have a new "thread" is open, only here give a lot of Rome. I set this thread, because there are not at all custom-Rom images it looks like. And I am only one very specific custom-Rom. It should look like the SGN and functioning. Everything and not just one part. Android 4.0.1
Thanks for the info!

WTF????

Err, isnt this suppose to be in the general section?

I didnt understand what he has to say? you mean you gonna make custom roms based on ICS? :O :O

Google translator is your friend!

Huh
Bump
one.

i guess he wants somebody to build a rom which is identical with the galaxy nexus?
that post is a really good brain teaser

I think the answer to this riddle is 42.

Rome??
Sent from my I9000 ICS using XDA App

I think he's asking for a way to install Eclair on his Galaxy Nexus and the i9000 section seemed a good starting point for that quest.

I am give much Rome but recover status rom for all, enjoy please contour tanks if u concieve

Sorry for my English.
So I would like to know if there is a custom in Rome, has the structure of the Galaxy Samsung Nexus. So the Android 4.0.1 but one of the 100% Works.
Camera, WiFi, Android apps etc

The answer to this thread is surely Phil Neville.

a custom in rome...thats interesting..anyway check the development section there is plenty ics roms

That's the hardest brain teaser i've ever tried

Easy to install 2.2 rom?

Hey guys-
I was wondering if anybody would be willing to create an easy to install froyo rom for the vibrant that could be installed through rom manager? If it's possible and someone would be willing to take on the challenge I and many other noobs out there would be much ablidged. Thanks in advance.

CM 6 is coming. For now enjoy the great job done so far
if you take a look at other threads under this forum, there has been work at porting 2.2 to this phone. Some difficulties in getting a fully functional build. I would recommend using the search function before starting a new thread, especially when posting under development, as you'll prolly get flamed pretty heavily.

I'm totally aware there's a 2.2 rom out for the vibrant already but what I'm asking for is a much easier to install version of froyo.

It does exist. It was the international Froyo leak but it is not a complete Froyo since it is missing JIT as well as other things. That leaked ROM is incomplete and is not stable for everyday use. Especially on a Vibrant, there are a lot of bugs with it and it is not recommended to be using it as the daily ROM.
It's better off waiting for 2.2 to release by Samsung or the CM team. It's just around the corner. Be patient.

They're working on it, once Eugene has it fixed, he's going to make a flashable .zip file for easy installing. He posted this in his 2.2 thread.

Exactly - there is no Froyo rom that is much easier to install than the leaked int'l one, let alone a stable one. What he's asking for doesn't exist. There's no secret, stable, froyo.zip floating around that people just aren't talking about.
I havnt seen a single rom on here that ISNT easy to install....
just waiting to see flame city for this one, similar questions have been asked time and time again... plus this isnt Q&A forum.....

Well for anyone that didn't use ODIN as there method of rooting and who doesn't want to spend more time then having to flash a basic .zip file, than there are some harder to install roms.

I'm aware nothing like that exists yet, that's why in the original post I requested someone create one, not if there is one already.

This forum has become like a kindle box just one spark turns us all in to flames. Calm down guys and remember you have something other than your E(letronic)ego to work about. Im sure you have cut infront of a car before not trying to be rude just let this pass and answer the damn question.
So far theres not an easy way to get a fully functional 2.2 however as with anything give it time and we will see it some time.
i do believe that everyone on here wants that including all the developers working on it. if we were happy with 2.1 then we would have stuck with the original os that samsung put out for the vibrant. really did you have to ask this here? or at all? its technology its always growing. give it time!

Fair enough - my bad, OP. If it was easily doable though, you can believe it would be done. I can't dev, so I wait and watch, because the guys (and gals) that can are doing whatever they can.

Sorry for my bad english.
Maybe it would be better if you post a link
I'll donate if they promise not to port it for the Note. It's awful.

Yeah, having more options is just so so bad. I'm just loving the fact that the Note only has TouchWiz ROM's and a semi working CM9 ROM <3
Remember people, development is bad.

You seem like a decent guy but, first the guy that took the time to answer your post is one of the biggest names and best developers here currently.
Second, what the devs do is way beyond 'hacks'. This is open source software which is basically rebuilding the os from the ground up.
In any case and as he said you have a mesmerize . So just flash mez builds. I would recommend glitched AOKP personally.

I was just trying to find out if I could help my friend root and rom his us cellular mez ( which at the time I was uaware that was its proper name sorry). If you don't even know how to search for the needed info yourself without asking, you've got ZERO chance of making the "best ROM".
Most "developers" are just "modding" or replacing stuff with winzip. If you like stock but with some other theme and couple of mods this is your way togo. I myself am not very fond of this method an skip these roms. Personally im keeping my note stock till an official MIUI or CM rom arrives.
