[Q] Root for Huawei S7 Slim??? - Ideos S7 General

Hi ppl.
I have been trying to root my Huawei S7 slim with various tools, but I can not manage:
Z4Root V.1.2 and 1.3
Universal Androot V. 1.61 and 1.62
All unsucsessful...
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband Version: 504030
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9-ideos
Build Number: S7-201uV100R001C187B010
Any idea or is this still unrootable? Maybe it has something to do with the baseband???
Thanks for your feedback.

Hey, i had similar problems. I managed to do it this way http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105250 Any questions just ask. I'll be around for a few.

Any idea if my version is rootable with Gingerbreak 1.2? It just I do not want to brick and would prefer an easy to root solution...

It should work, both gingerbreak and psnauter. I think thats the same version i had, either it'll work or it'll reboot. i have the 101 anyway

ok I'll give it a try....later tomorrow
Anyway thanks for your support...

Gingerbreak 1.2 works perfectly
Any idea what the right recovery is for the IDEOS S7 SLIM? I installed Rom Manager, but couldn't find my device in the recovery list.
Thanks for posting!

i have already did that to get the 1.83.415.4 update for my phone to be able to use the Arabic official keyboard in this newest update

i have checked the software update after downgrading but it still saying my phone software is up to date!!!!!!

2- is there is anyway to force my phone to update the new official software after downgrading?
3- if i can not force it to update ..what i should do to root my phone and which the most safer way to do that (please refer me to step by step guide and a working links to the required tools)
4- what's the most stable software which contains Arabic support and how i can install it in step by step guide..
Thanks in advance for your help and please excuse the long topic as am totally new to android ( it took around 2 weeks to just figure out how to downgrade my phone)
Waiting your answers ASAP
1. Yes its unbranded.
2. You can update officially by downloading an ruu but don't. Best to get radio s-off.
3. Search the development section. You want to perm root and s-off.
4. Leedroid arabic edition.

Someone Swyped my idea.
Thanks for your reply
Good news that my phone became officially unbranded
Well, in another forum (Arabic one) they just adviced me to download the official new rom 1.8xxxx on my pc (they provided me with the links)
then to connect my phne to my pc and then start the installing through my pc
No S-Off needed... No Rooting needed
and guess what... it's working like charm now
Thanks everybody
Yep, but someone could find the complete lack of root a downside

[Q] Rooting Trouble

Android version: 2.2.1
System version: version.3.8.7xt610.Verizon.en.US
So i have the droid pro, and when i discovered i had a system update available i un-rooted my phone and applied the update. The current system version is now "version.3.8.7xt610.Verizon.en.US" after this system update it blocks z4root [the way i originally rooted my phone] from working. Ive tried all versions of z4 and Ive also tried them multiple times. Ive been un-rooted for a while now waiting for a new way around this but nothing has turned up, so can anyone help me? Any information is more than appreciated.

Read further in the forums. I believe both superoneclick ver 1.7 works as does aroot.

how to open bootloader?

I bought motorola Atrix week ago and i want install custom rom but my android version is 2.2.2 and
system version 4.4.80.MB860.Partner.en.IL
baseband version N_0.95.00R
kernal version 2.6.32.9-00001-gfdaed51
build number OLYEM_U4_4.8.0
Thank you
Hey, I bought my Atrix some few days back and wanted to unlock (bootloader) it, install CWM and root it. And I did hello lot of searching for that, and found this page and used it to get everything done.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202883
So, I would recommend you the above link -- it's sufficient and has just one file for download with everything in it.
NOTE: I had Android 2.3.4 installed on my Atrix and the above guide applies to Android 2.3.4 running Atrix only. So take due notice of this.
ONE MORE THING: Read this page in full so that you gain knowledge of what you are doing. And I think once the bootloader is unlocked, you cannot re-lock it (anyway, I'm yet to find a link/page which would help me relock it).

That's it. Good luck. Enjoy!
There is no guide for my version?
cuz I afraid to get a hard brick with another version guide
yes I know what it is bootloader root and etc
I had htc legend before
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
I tried all those guides and no one helped me to open my bootloader
any suggestions?

[Q] Rooting the 2.3.5 beta version

Hey all, sorry if this thread is not in the right place or in rooting threads, i cant post there because i got less than 10 posts.
Anyways, my question is that i got this beta version of GB that have come after the overseas ''official'' version: http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwi...=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDQxODE=
I found the guide here for rooting the overseas version with superoneclick, but it says dont try this with any other versions or something?
What i understand is that this version is like the overseas version, just with couple improvement? This is the guide thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728
So can i follow this guide or doesnt it work with the version i got? Heres some info from my device:
Baseband: 404020
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-perf
U8800V100R001C00B526G001
So can i follow the guide or not? Thank you for answers!
It will work.
Sent from my u8800
ok thanks, i will try it
Hey thanks, it worked! Got my phone rooted now and happy ^
(Close the thread please)
