Stock 3.2 update - 4.010.40 to 7.006.03 - Acer Iconia A500

Here is a link for the devs or whoever else might be interested in playing with it. This is NOT rooted and from what I've read no existing root exploits work.
This is only for those running Acer_A500_4.010.40_COM_GEN1, all others will fail on install.
cdn.acer.futuredial.com/Acer_A500_4.010.40_7.006.03_COM_GEN1_1316137926088_14fd4822.zip
I am not responsible if this bricks your device, if you lose root and never get it back, or if your dog or any family members die.
File size = 350.20MB
Good luck to the devs on keeping root and hopefully some 3.2 based roms from the A500 OTA instead of the A501 base.
Don't ask me any questions on this, I'm basically supplying this as I saw some devs asking for it but no one supplying one yet.

I got this update file Acer_A500_4.010.40_7.006.03_COM_GEN1_1316137926088_14fd4822.zip but it is 350.20 MB

Yeah, I mucked that up. lol Updated it right as you posted.

new to Rooting

Im new to this whole rooting deal. Ive been looking on you tube videos on how but the links they put never work. Is there a step by step instructions on how to root my s4.
It depends on what firmware you're on. Stay away from you tube.
First off I would review xda rules/polices as a new member
Second, wouldn't start 2 threads 6 minutes apart in 2 different sections
That said, you need to determine your build first, under phone settings.
The build will determine how to root and what you can and can't do.
Next, read, read, read on xda, not you tube--
There are beginner threads here
Post your phone version and carrier when asking q's. There are several versions on this forum and that also impacts what you can do
Good Luck--:good:
Lastly make backups every step along the way, including your EFS and put them on pc also

Will the G3 get the update?
It seems that we got the Android L pretty quick but on the other hand the G2 never got the L (5.0) update.
Here's what you need to know
Why posting another thread about Android M?

And Lg G2 has lollipop already.

I didnt see another thread about it. and i did not know there was a limit. i am just sharing my thoughts. I had a G2 as well on Sprint and i never received the update. in fact it was only released the end of April for sprint which was 5 months after i got rid of it.
Find another thread to troll. :cyclops:
There is a thread started before this one on the subject, and yes... One thread for M talk is sufficient.

Please bring the conversation there. :good:

Xposed for US Cellular g900r4 running lollipop

First, I've spent a couple of weeks trying to find a solution, but it's a bit confusing.
I recently updated my Galaxy S5 (G900R4) to lollipop. As a result, Xposed no longer works. I've read how this is due to a change by Samsung to the ART. I've also read how someone has a working version by deodexing the phone. My question is, does anyone have xposed running on a US Cellular Galaxy S5 running lollipop? If so, I'd love to know how you did it.
Again, I know there are posts all over the place, but nothing has helped at this point.
Thanks for your patience and help.

Thanks. I saw that post but was a bit nervous to try it. Glad to hear its running for you.
I'm just not finding the doedex rom file. I think I'll go back to KitKat and just save myself a lot of trouble. Can't see that Lollipop offers anything that I can't live without over KitKat anyway.

Not a proper credit (real dev behind this is HighwayStar) + you shouldnt share this in the development section as of now , cause this ROM has too many bugs ...

Follow this thread instead until a Dev uploads the ROM here or opens a Thread ...

Credits changed.
It was there in development section. Moderators themselves moved it to here.
First off you shouldn't have to share this in here unless you got permissions from developer.
Second, the guy who mirrored it to AFH should also ask dev before mirroring it.

Dev saw it's mirrored on GDrive/AFH. If he'd have an problems with that he'd contact me.
