how to downgrade from 2.3.3 or any firm to 2.3.2 looking for a realy simple methord im bootlocked need simplest method any1 could follow if program needed please noot name n if u can link to get it thank u

Just go to the development section and you will find everything you need there, you also could have done a search before starting a new thread cause there are a bunch of them around

Need some help!!

Ok ok.. I have been reading on different forms n I'm a lil confused.. I have a samsung vibrant with 2.2 KB5 n all I want to know is how to root it.. Ive been reading that I can just use superoneclick n it wld work fine but then ive been reading that I need to convert back to 2e.. If someone can please jyst tell me what to do or point me in the right direction that'll be great.. Send me a link to were I need to go wld be great as well.. I hope I put this in the right section if not sorry.. But all I want to do is root the phone.. I had a mytouch 3g before n it was so easy to root wish it was the same for my vibrant.. Thanks..

There's a good tutorial here. It's written for KA6, but it should also apply for KB5.

i am new to android i am using galaxy 3 GT-i5800 with stock rom on it.having following details.
1) Firmware Version----2.1 update1
2) Baseband Version---I5800xxjg3
3) Kernel Version------2.6.29 [email protected] #2
4) Build Number-------Eclair.xxjg7
i cant move my apps to sd card thats i also have low space on memory card i read on the forums that i have to root my phone and then to upgrade my rom to fryo but i m very confused as there are many method and more i read i got more confused that which is the safer one. i also want to backup my stock rom before doing anything as if something went wrong i cud b able to restore back to my stock rom..

How to install 2.3 firmware on 8800 pro?

hello,
I bought this phone today and it was advertised to come with 2.3 gingerbread, tho it came with froyo 2.2. I downloaded 2.3 firmware from offical huawei website(its official firmware - kernel-2.6.35-U8800pro-Gingerbread.tar cant post link because it my 1st post)
I didnt find any instructions on how to install it on my phone, if someone could tell me how or give me a link to instructions it would be much appreciated.

It should be.zip, not tar. You downloaded a kernel, not rom.

I managed to do it probably the easiest thing to do is to download this archive at megaupload.com/?d=55XORRPE and just follow the instructions in .pdf its very simple

I'm a n00b, too And I haven't understood where is the UPDATE-g.APP that I see in the guideline. And I haven't understood if the point 2.1.4 of the guideline is necessary for europe area.

Why do you want to manual root? Rooting with SuperOneClick is easier.
