Can not install 2.2 and 2.3 is not working WiFi.

Wipe data/Cache and dalvik cache in advanced menu in recovery. try reinstalling 2.2.2 or 2.3.5. I guess you had some bad flash before.

I'm flashing my phone very easy and it never ever wiped or something sd-ext. It always says skipping, cause there is no sd-ext.
Put stock rom in sd card (whole dload folder) and boot your device with VOL+ and VOL- pressed while pressing power on) It should update. Then after that install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229326 then after installing boot it with VOL+ and power button. Delete caches, and then flash the custom rom .
I also uploaded ORIGINAL, Stock image partition files http://www.mirrorafile.com/files/6GV300HE/image.rar
you can try to overwrite yours with them (of course backup yours) Put your device in purple screen, connect it with pc, and put those files in it. Maybe it will help.

[Q] pirate rum

hi
1st off im new to rooting and playing with roms. now ive just loaded up the pirate rum and now when i turn the phone on i cant get past the pirate rum screen and none of the buttons work i cant turn off the phone unless i release the battery
please help i hope ive not ****ed my phone
Can you boot into fastboot by press down the back key while turning the power on? if so see if you can get into recovery
yeah i can do that, what next
wipe the device completely and reflash the ROM
In recovery, use wipe data (warning: this will, as the name suggestst, delete all your data).
Also if you speak german, look for advice in the 'android hilfe' forum, where the rom is supported: http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-ha...8-desire-rom-pirate-rum-sense-nx1-hybrid.html
ive wiped it but sadly i dont speak german so anything i can do now??
Download and flash again (maybe the file was corrupt).
and/or
Get ADB and check the logcat (look around in the forums for instructions).
and/or
Try another ROM.
Hello mate, if it's a stable Sense UI ROM you want to use then I'd recommend LeeDroid or Pinky Desire (although the latter hasn't been updated for a while...)
I suggest wiping all data, then flashing something stable like cyanogen mod 6, just google cyanogen. Download it, put in sdcardand flash in recovery
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
ok imhaving tyrouble with this
how it started.
i rooted with unrevoked
downloaded titanium backup and rom manager from market
then downloaded the pirate rum rom through rom manager
i have clockwork recovery
just tried downloading the cm6 rom but having difficulty
Right honestly i would play around with a sense rom untill you know what you are doing.
Go and download Leedroid from the rom section
Remove your sd card and put into your computer
put the leedroid file (should be a zip) on the root (not in any folders) of your sd card
Put your card and battery back in and turn on while holding the volume down key
Select recovery by using the Vol keys and powre button to select
You should now have some green text (your joy stick will work now also)
Select data/factory wipe
select yes
now use back and select zip from sd card
select your leedroid file and again select yes
it will tell you when its don, hit the back key again and select reboot.
it will take a while 5-10min to install but just leave it

[Q] Attempting to flash ICS333 - Stuck at CWM/Can't access SD card error

Hi all,
For the last couple of days I've been trying to flash my Galaxy S with ICS333 using the following guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25722239#post25722239
-----------
"3. Enter Download Mode, open Odin, check Re-Partition, press PIT button and browse for the PIT file, press PDA button and browse for the PDA file in the ROM folder, press PHONE button and browse for the PHONE file, press CSC button and browse for the CSC file and finally press START button.Wait till it`s finished and when the phone reboots disconnect from PC.
4. When the phone has booted into the ROM and you see the wizard screen just enter download mode again, plug your phone into the PC, open Odin, press PDA button and browse for the CF-Root kernel, press START button and wait for it to finish. After the phone reboots disconnect it from the PC, let it boot and when you`re in the ROM, set your phone to mass storage mode from settings>wireless & network>usb settings and plug your phone into the PC, copy the ICS333 ROM to your internal SD root location, assuming you have downloaded it from here : http://goo.gl/LuXvH and disconnect from PC.
5. Enter CWM, Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache and flash the ROM.You will notice the phone will reboot immediately because it will switch kernels, from CF-Root to Semaphore, prior to flashing the actual ROM.As a result, it will boot loop or get stuck on Semaphore logo, so just force it into CWM using the 3 key combo (no need to take the battery out). Now flash the rom again and wait till it`s finished and > Reboot to system!."
-----------
After performing stage 3 I waited for the phone to restart and understand that I should have seen a ROM/Wizard appear. This did not happen and now the phone just goes straight into CWM upon boot.
Whilst in CWM I get the error E:Can't mount /sdcard/ and non of the functions work. What should I do next? I've had a search around these and other forums but can't work out what to do. Don't want to just keep trying random things and end up making the situation worse.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

get back into download mode to flash a rescue kit or a JVU upgrade from My Android Collections also tick update bootloader
But First power down, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT SD card, press power button for a minute , than power up without SIM and Ext SD Card...make sure you have more than 50% battery charge before you attempt any sort of flashing
Thanks very much for the help. Used the darkyrom resurrection kit and it worked like a charm.

Sorry to be a bother again but I now have a new problem. I have updated to CM 9 android version 4.0.4 which appears to function correctly but gives me no access to the sim card (can't see any phone numbers/contacts and won't connect to the network).
I understand that this usually has something to do with EFS settings (I took a backup of the EFS using GPS Aids before I flashed) which I have tried to restore using Nitrality but with no success.
I have checked the sim card in another phone and it works correctly.
Starting to think that this flashing business is not for me.
Any ideas as to what I should try next?
Thanks
Louis
You can change the efs folder via terminal but I found the easiest way (I had incorrect imei on hellybean) was..
Flash stock GB via Odin. Flash semaphore kernal via Odin. To get cwm.
Boot into recovery and flash cm7, boot into recovery and flash cm9, boot into recovery and flash cm10.
Obviously make sure you have cm versions on the card first. Efs corrupts when you don't flash in order example GB to JB missing out ICS. Doesn't happen all the time but that's usually the cause.
Worked like a charm for me.

[Q] I9000 question

Hi all.
I have an Galaxy S - i9000 in front of me, which shows a fake IMEI eg. 0049xxxxxxxxxxx. There is no previous made backup of /efs content (nv_data.bin e.t.c.). Now the phone has the firmware 2.3.6 (baseband I9000XXJVU). Bluetooth is working fine, wireless is working, too.
I red many posts in the forum, but nothing specific, like (howto recover the IMEI on i9300 with QPST). Is there a similar tool like QPST? How can I recover the lost IMEI?
Whenever this happens to me i flash jvu thru odin or any other stock rom to get this back.

I have flashed JVU through Odin, still nothing.
What will happen, if I restore a backup from another i9000 efs?

Try a solution from My Android Solutions
But First powerdown, pull out Battery, SIM CARD, and EXT.SD card, press power button for a minute, than powerup without SIM and Ext.SD Card, after flashing and reboot , insert them back
Tips before Flashing:-
Backup all your important files, contacts, SMS, game data, images etc to PC or Ext SD card. or make Nanadroid Backup If you have CWM
Backup your EFS Folder to PC or Ext SD card
Enable USB Debugging on Phone. Touch menu> Settings> Applications> Development>
Charge your battery to more than 50% before you attempt any sort of flashing.
Disable Samsung KIES when using Odin. Kill Kies.exe, KiesTrayAgent.exe, & KiesPDLR.exe using Task Manager on PC
Use only ROM and solution for your model and Wipe x3
similar problem... nothing helps until now
We bought a GT-I900 with Android 2.3.4 (I9000zsjpj).
We installed cyanomod 9 (stable mode), after initialization the device looks fine (probably), then we installed the Gapps and the device stopped working.
We tried to go back a version with the backup, and then we got color stripes...
At the end we were able to enter into download mode, with a dongle. And install GB and we upgraded to cyanomod 10 with the appropriate Gapps.
The phone "works", but he lost the IMEI, the home key does not work, no sounds (nither microphone) and no GPS.
Before the first installation we backup the EFS with Nitrality and we kept the folder outside the device, but the restore is not working.
We also tried to install JVU with Root, but it did not solve the problem.
Moving the nv_data.bin and/or nv_data.bak from the backup to the efs folder did not solve the problem (nv_data.bin.md5 and nv.log files does not exist in the backup or in the efs folders).
If anyone can help .....

That was a problem. TNX!!
I followed the instructions of the repair kit, but after the second stage it could not enter and stay in the DL mode, it enters without a problem to the DL mode, but after a few seconds switches to the recovery mode. (Battery fully charged). I can not keep it in DL for more than few seconds.
(Problem were solved- it did recognize theSIM, the home key, and the sounds are back.....).
Can I take those seconds and start the third stage flash via Odin or it sticking? There is another solution?
Or: is it really necessary to pass the third stage (if the phone works now)? Of course I want to upgrade the firmware version, and I'll need the DL mode for that too.

Xsenman, TNX again.
Apparently the mistake was, of course, mine: I pressed the three buttons, as in I9000. By pressing only the home key+power, the download mode worked fine.
I installed the Say_cm7_0921.
It works fine, but for now the camera can not capture video (It crashes when I switch from stills to video). And I manage connecting to the computer only after instaling "auto mount your sd card" from the market.

[Q] Huawei u8800 restart trouble

I am having troubles for weeks and still cant do anything
. I can only go into android recovery, can wipe data and then after 2-3 restart, huawei x5 boots. Then if i restart, there are a lot of windows appear showing stop activities. Even i cant click restart button.
So, i put first 2.3.5 then ginger bread custom app to dload in ext and int sd. Then after wiping in android recovery , i made power off and with + - and power, i made update. This time updates were successfull. Before it wa s failing.
It could make updates. But after updates, again could not start. After loading huawei logo, it restarts and cant go to desktop.
I cant change recovery because i cant install superuser because it should be restarted but if it is restarted, cant start.
I can only use sd card, after wiping data, until one restart . How can i change without rooting recovery? And i change recovery, does this help ? I dont know what the problem is.
Please help.

Hey. By chance, i dont know how exactly. In android recovery, i made a lot of time wipe data, then took of battery and volume -+ and battery to install step 2 dload. It installed but when i opened, it could not opened. SO i did 2-3 times and i tried to go into pink screen but it tried to install update, so i took battery and i opened after that. Now , the original stock rom is installed. froyo 2.2.1. I dont know how this were installed. But i restarted 3 times and no problem.
So, what i will do is those?
1- Install super user
2- Do root.
3- INstall cwm
That?
(And flash is not working and in file manager, i can only see ext and int sd, not phone memory? BUt in es exploerer, i could see /device.)
And please tell me a good rom to install. MAybe aurora 20 again but how to install, first to 2.3.5 then to aurora then v20?

Im having quite frequently restarts when turning on wifi.

I installed 5.0.2.8 cwm, is it latest?
And first i did superuser and root. BEcause i am afraid of again having restart prbolems if i go to 2.3.5.

It has step 1 dload.
and that
U8800 V100R001C00B136SP05CUSTC75D001(Portugal TMN)
this has step 2 dload.
In your guide i couldnot see.ARe those true for me?
****. I installed step 1 update, it tried to restart but again it went into loop . And it aumatically went into android recovery. Where cwm is, i dont know.
Now i will go back to 2.2.1, i will try. I am very boreed of this.
Hi!
Did you try B517 from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2166353
Look under official gingerbread and you can try B517 or B518.
I tried all 2.3.5 gingerbreads but after updating, it keeps restarting and automatically go into recovery and wipe data and then opens 2.2.1 . I dont know what to do.
i tried to install those you sent. All gingerbreads after updating, started to restart and went into recovery. I dont know what to do. Froyo is ok, no restart. Maybe imei or something was damageD?
No. It could be that your phone is u8800-51, but I am not sure. I don't know how to check this; it might be under the battery, or you might know how to find out on the internet.
now after wpiping data, it installs 2.3.5 . No more 2.2.1. I dont understand sometimes it resets to 2.2.1, sometimes to 2.3.5
I looked under batter, u8800.
And also i was using 2.3.5before. After i came back from aurora, this s h it started. I install cwm but still deletes it.

So....you have an internal CWM recovery on the device? Is that how you got the custom ROM (?) on there in the first place? Why not just flash a new copy? Or restore a backup (if you have one)?

Maybe not? It sounds like there is something seriously wrong with the file structure. And I'm not familiar at all with the system you are describing. Can you give me a reference? Can you connect to the device with ADB?
Edit: Hmm...Some kind of game-emulator ROM? Is that what this is? But it didn't work.
So here's what I would do, because it is "simple" and fairly automatic. It should get you back to a functioning stock NST.
1. Make a CWM sdcard (here, either sdcard version)
2.Copy onto the CWM card this file.
3. Shut down the NST (force if necessary) and insert CWM sdcard. Power on.
4. If the device boots into CWM from the sdcard, install the "install_stock_1.1_recovery.zip". That should replace the broken internal CWM with the stock recovery for FW 1.1. Shut down the device.
5. Make a NookManager sdcard.
6. Insert NookManager sdcard into device. Power on.
7. At the opening menu, bypass turning on WiFi.
8. Select "Rescue", then "Restore factory.zip". Follow directions.
This will initiate a rewrite of the system from the factory recovery, leaving you at FW 1.1. You will need to update that to FW 1.2.2, but that part is easy.

Say what? I've never heard of this and can't find any references to it. Are we talking about the same NST? The B&N e-reader, BNRV300?
So....you have an internal CWM recovery on the device? Is that how you got the custom ROM (?) on there in the first place? Why not just flash a new copy? Or restore a backup (if you have one)?
As in, it will not shut off unless you force a shutdown (exactly how?)
???? Something on this custom ROM???
Ah, well that answers that.

I burned the img from step 1 to the SD card. Copy the file from step 2 to SD card.
Due to the device being unable to shut down, an SD card was inserted during the infinite restart process. At this time, pressing and holding the shutdown button resulted in no response from the device. If you enter the built-in CMW of the device, insert the SD card, click reboot, and it will get stuck in the CMW rebooting interface.
In addition, the Xingyun ROM is a work from China, with a file size of 1.8G. I don't know how to upload it to be successfully downloaded by everyone.

Mmm...right now I'm not sure many people would want to try.
In a typical bootloop with the marching dot animation (which you may not have) it is usually possible to intercept the process with the power button--eventually. The screen freezes but the device is actually off. Then another long press on the power button turns it on.
If you can't intercept the bootloop you may have to run down the battery. Then with the CWM card inserted, plug in the charger. When there is sufficient energy available the device will boot.

Thank you very much for your patient answer. Its condition is worse than I imagined, SD is unable to boot the nook simple touch, possibly due to the motherboard being broken. Due to tight working hours, I don't have much time to tinker with this electronic paper book, so I have sold it as a bad device.
