[Q] US 3G Verizon MotoXoom in Europe - Xoom General

Hello Guys, My first post
I just recently bought a 3G Xoom in the US to be able to use it here in Europe, but as far as I read, the 3G will never work here with the existing firmware because this device has been locked to work only with Verizon.
I was wondering if one of the developers here could tell me if I install the Stock MZ601_H.6.1-38-1_Retail_Europe.zip, would the 3G function will work with my MZ600 instead of the existing build HTJ85B and fix the issue?or installing Tiamat 2.1 maybe?
Thanks in advance,
EGMWEB

[Q] 3.1/3.2 update for Non-US (Aussie) Xoom ??

Finally bought a 3g/wifi MZ601 Xoom on Ebay which was shipped from HongKong.
Plugged the Optus 3G Sim that was in my work Thinkpad into it and it worked straight out of the box.
My problem is that it's on 3.01 and wont update to 3.1
Build number is H.6.1-38-9 which suggests that it is either a Telstra build or a build designated "Retail Other International".
Firmware version is GAS_ASIA_USAEVRSTURTIRD_P016.
I've tried the little trick of rolling the system clock forward a few days , etc with no luck.
Maybe I should just borrow a Telstra SIM from someone and see if it will pick up an update while on the Telstra network.
Running out of ideas, I don't really want to have to root it.
it'll get updates based on the devices region - not your sim.
3.1 hasn't gone out to (many) places that are outside the US yet.

mz600/mz602 with mz604 rom possible ?

how possible to flash mz604 rom on Mz600 with lte upgrade ?
Almost the same question from my side:
Is it possible to flash a Wifi only Rom on a MZ600 Wifi + 3G (Verzion-US) device without LTE upgrade.
Reason for that:
I'm living in Europe and my 3G wouldn't work anyway, but I would love to get my home language.
My idea thus, I take MZ604 Image and flash it to my MZ600 device.
Possible or would I break my device?
Thx for every answer
Cheers

[Q] Want to install US software version

Hi,
I recently bought an unlocked Motorola Atrix from Amazon and I noticed that the phone actually got an Italy version for its firmware. I'm living in the US and I want to be able to get future software upgrades like Android ICS. So just wondering if there is any way to change the firmware to the US version?
Thanks

[Q] Does the latest t-mobile update work on ATT G2 modified for t-mobile?

I recently bought a used ATT LG G2. I installed Novembre5's modified version of the T-Mobile rom to allow wifi calling - it works great.
Today I got an alert from T-Mobile saying "System update downloaded". I wonder if it is safe to install this? If I install it, will I lose the wifi calling (which is very important for me)?
I imagine there must be other people facing the same problem.
Thanks for any input -
David

Galaxy SM-A500M 4G does not work with new carrier

Hi all,
I own a SM-A500M phone. The phone has unlocked stock rom (original rom is not modified by carrier) and updated trough OTA to android 5.0.2. I know 4g does work in my phone because I could use it with my prior carrier, but I recently changed to CLARO and with this new provider I don't have 4g acces, only H+ and it is really slow and laggy connection.
I know the following:
1) Sim card is a compatible 4g nano sim
2) The carrier CLARO has 4g coverage where I live
3) The phone is not the problem
4) I have tried all the usual FAQS (APN's, select LTE in config, reboot) with no success.
5) The phone's variant is right (latinoamerican brand), so It can't be due to frequencies or bands problems.
I asked for help in CLARO and told me that this has happened amongst users with unlocked phones (that is, rom not modified with CLARO's bloatware), and the solution is to flash CLARO's rom. But the problem with this solution is that CLARO hasn't released android 5.0.2 update (and I think it will never update) and I really like android 5 and wouldn't want to return to 4.4.
So, is it true? Is there a chance to fix this problem with minor tweaks? What is the problem here?
Since I recently acquired this phone, I would prefer not lossing warranty, so rooting and custom roms might not be an option.
Thanks in advance. Kind regards!
You could try to flash their rom and check if it works. Then you can be 100% sure that hardware/chip/network provider are fine. I have the same phone on since last week, but still did not go to get the chip at a movistar office. Maybe you need to activate the chip and they refuse to do it unless you get their rom. Maybe just getting their rom, and then flashing back the updated stock one or a CM or whatev would be enough.
