But roms for ideos s7 "fat" works the same on ideos s7 slim ?
I would be very surprised, some parts of the hardware are different, at very least the screen, so the ROMs would have the wrong drivers and the screens would not work.
I've just picked one of these up and am looking for ROMs too.

The system part of rom is the same only kernel is different.
The answer is no. You can use them directly.

I believe not, each device is different and you might break it somehow.
Perhaps you can try, but you have to be ready to reinstall an a stock rom.
Credits: I haven't tried this before.
I think if some developer answer this question will be better because we know nothing else then installing ROMs :silly:

Noble rom s7 edge port v3 with ramkernel mm v4 is good and very stable in my opinion i am running daily driver with batman injustice theme.
So fas its stable only fingerprint dosent work there is workaround to make it work but who cares.
I got 2000$ s7 edge batman injustice edition phone features with this rom.

Yes it works with datafix and kernel for your model.
I have n910t and it works i believe Canadian and n910t required similar files.

I recommend you KURAMA v3 by Kazica...stock kernel and not ported ROM...my advice for you is try to stay away from ported ROMS!!

Looks like that ROM is based on a Samsung port with s7 features; therefore, you can only use a stock Samsung kernel.

Not that Galaxy S1 laggy, it's that I've been using galaxy j1 mini before and it felt snappier

All roms are compatible you will require to flash custom kernel & datafix with the rom that works for your model.
Only aosp roms like cyanogenmod and lineage os required based on your model they cannot work from other models.
N910W8 and N910T custom ROMs are compatible with each other. Other N910 ROMs, you will need to flash the kernel and datafix. Search or google is your friend. As the other post, if you just want to fix "laggy", maybe you should clear your cache and/or reset your phone.

You'd be looking for the trltetmo variant that is also compatible with the SM-N910W8. I build daily for that variant. I also recommend the latest bootloader and modem (BL_CP), see my signature for links.

Yeah its working pretty well, my only problems are that the front photo camera is very dark at low light, and there is not S Pen app.

I'm guessing before I do anything I have to root the phn 1st then install TWRP back up phn,wipe, then flash the .tar then load Lineage ?
Or lineage then the .tar.. Or does it matter which is done 1st..?

You can port Oreo 8.0.0 with Ex9.0, I think it would better but dunno if it's harder so I won't interrupt. Anyway is the port going well?

Couldnt port any rom. Bc i had to buy a New phone. I used my S5 neo normally and suddenly it freezed. Then it shut down and then it never boot up anymore. Stucks at splash screen. I have a S7 now.

You can find a Nougat ROM for S5 neo based on G903W (Canadian S5 neo) but there are no S8/S9 ports (Nougat nor Oreo). It could be interesting to make S5 neo treble compatible (if possible) and then try to port S9's ROM but I've never heard about anything of this sort. I also think there are too few people (specifically developers) that use this device, unfortunately it was terribly unlucky, I'll never forget how bad Samsung was with this device. I'd suggest you to try the AICP (Oreo 8.1) ROM, it sounds cool

Had it already, very nice ROM I admit, but I need something that don't use much of a battery, so the best for it is shedrock ROM. I like it the most. Now I'm planning to buy a New phone, so I don't need any fancy ROM now. I think that this thread can be deleted now as there won't be anything like that

Unfortunately.. I'd really love to see treble ported to older galaxys just how they did for some Xiaomi etc, hope it'll happen
