[Q] Help verify install - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good morning all!
I need some help verifying my install on my eemc. The goal was to install Phiremods new test build based on the 101 nightly. I followed the instructions, and think I have it installed correctly. Everything runs. Not having any problems that I can tell. So under "about tablet" it says:
Model #: Phiremod Nook Color
Android Version 2.3.4; Kernel 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #34
Mod Version: Phiremod Nook v7 TEST
Build # GRj22
Does this look right? I would have asked under his thread in the developers area, but my post count is not high enough yet.
Thanks!

[Q] Recommend a Firmware

Hi,
I am just posting cause I am new here, and also have some questions and problems with my new X8 from Three.
Basically, the main snag I currently have is that the phone seems very slow with the default software from SE.
Also, the phone seems to be charging completely within about 15 minutes when below 20%, is this correct or probably a fault?
Also, will flashing to a custom software make the phone more responsive and better to use than the current SE software.
Currently the versions are:
Model Number: E15i
Firmware Version: 2.1-update1
Baseband Version: M76XX-TSNCJOLY-53404015
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 - SEMCUser(at)SEMCHost #1
Build Number: 2.1.1.A.0.6
Any assistance is appreciated.
I recommend MiniCM6 1.0.0 RC1
It's android 2.2 and the most stable ROM around here. Everything working.
best always.......... its like final version

Mobile Network State Disconnected - AOKP [Release] Build 38

Just installed:
AOKP [Release] Build 38
was running:
[DEV][RC5] Team Nyx [Android 4.0.4] (ICSSGS)
After the install of AOKP when I boot into to system the Signal bars for the netowrk are Gray instead of Blue.
I look into System Settings --> About Phone. and it says "Mobile Network State Disconnected"
I try to surf the web, doesn't work.
I can make and receive phone calls.
Baseband version: I9000XXJVU
Kernal Version: 3.1.10_IctGlitch_V14-B6_I9K-T959D [email protected] #1
When I was running Team Nyx I didn't have this problem.
The Kernal version I was running with Team Nyx was [Kernel][ICS] Devil2_0.94 [24/05/12].
Will installing a different version of the Kernal fix it? or a different modem?
If so, which one should I try and where do I get it?
BTW, I am in Saskatchewan (Canada).
Thanks,
Chad
So I figured it out, for some reason I needed to enter in Access Point Name manually.
Not sure how this will work if I am roaming and happen to need to connect to a different network.
I don't know why this ROM wouldn't pick up this info its self and the other ROM's I have tried all worked. Anyone have some incite into this?
Thanks.

[Q] Problem after flashing a kernel

Hi! I'm using a custom rom called Hyperion 9 (Gold Master Final Build). Almost all users recommend the installation of kernel Hells Fusion #50 for better performance. The problem is that I tried to install it via CWM (or that Aroma Installer), and after the system loaded and the media scan finished, it just froze completely. I am using another kernel now called Deviant Kernel #2, that installed with no problem. What am I doing wrong? I am not allowed to post directly at Hyperion's thread (new user) and I must say I'm completely new at this thing of flashing kernels. I really need help.
Some system specs of my device:
Baseband version
S5360BUTLG1
Kernel Version
2.6.35.7

[Q] Can't install Android Wear

Some time ago I bought (tricked) a Bepa G900W very bad clone from Galaxy S5.
Once I began to know what kind of bug it was I decided to install a better custom Rom.
Right now it has this ROM:
Model: SM-G900W
Android version: 4.4.2 (I'm not sure this is true)
Baseband version: G900SKSU1ANDCD
Kernel: 3.4.5 [email protected] #1
Compilation: KOT49H.G900SKSU1AND3
My problem is that I can't install Android Wear. The Play Store doesn't show it, and when try to install directly from an APK, it gives an "analysis error", "an error has been produced when analysing the apk".
Does any of you know a possible solution?
TIA
I just found that this specific kitkat version 4.4.2 for MTK6582 is really API level 17.
Is there anything against cooking a Kitkat ROM, API level 18, for MTK6582 devices? Nobody has done it yet?

Installing Custom ROM onto Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7?

I HAVE ALREADY POSTED THIS TO XDA ASSIST. THEY REDIRECTED ME HERE.
I am basically a noob, but I know my way around computers and I can do a few advanced things. I can follow instructions well. So, could you please tell me, could I install a Custom ROM onto my device? (See title).
I HAVE FOUND AN APK INSTALLER FILE HERE: light-science.com/cyanogenmod-installer-apk-download/ . I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS SAFE OR NOT. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE GUYS @ CM PULLED THEIR OFFICIAL INSTALLER BECAUSE OF SOMETHING CALLED STAGEFRIGHT. I don't think that bug should affect my Tab, because it will not be receiving MMS messages.
I am looking to install CyanogenMod (12). My device is rooted. I am unaccustomed to installing Custom ROMs, in fact this is my first attempt. If there are already instructions on this, please point me that way. I'm new to these forums, but I have used them to solve some of my problems.
Stock SAMSUNG ROM is installed.
