Downloaded Plants vs. Zombies via the Amazon Appstore (free today, but not the HD version) to my TF, and went through the install. Got an error that there's insufficient space for the install, but the game actually installed and runs fine.
Just FYI, really. I'm thinking there's still some confusion for apps around how Honeycomb exposes so much space. PvZ is a 75MB download, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Decided to try this one out this morning. I did not have any error's pop up during the install. I must say this is apparently a port and not optimized for tablets yet. Game play is smooth enough however the graphics are not crisp and looks like the image has just been scaled to fit the screen.
Right... I just found the error interesting. I'll probably uninstall the game itself and wait for the HD version.

Im having the same problem but I cant get the game to install on my X10 running android 2.1. It says insufficient space, free up some space. But I have plenty of space. Not sure what to do about it.........

just try google around and download the HD version for lenovo Lepad, that works 100x better than amazon version with much higher resolution and sharper graphics.
not sure how long the exclusive deal with lenovo will last and by no means piracy should be encouraged..but for now..this is the only choice..
I have the same problem in my X10 running android 2.1... 200mb free!
I too am having difficulty installing the file. Even deleted programs from the phone, phone not SD, to free up almost 200 megs of space, still no luck.

Now I don't feel so alone, has this error ever appeared before for anyone on any other software install?
Funny thing is, PvZ installed no problem on my Epic, and it had only about 120MB left when I started the install. Weird...

Worked Perfect for me. Installed fine and no Error
So apparently it's a phone software thing, not the file off Amazon, tried downloading that file in apk format from a "source", still a no go on install, still get the "out of space, Plants vs Zombies could not be viewed. Free up space on your phone and try again" error.
Update, put the file I downloaded from the "source" on a friend's unrooted Epic 4g running 2.2 and it installed fine, ran fine.

I THINK it's because of what ATT did about allowing some apps not to be installed?
Will ROOT help with this?

Odd, the atrix comes with a NFS Demo that plays perfectly fine.
more than likely the games aren't updated to work on the phone resolution, wait for an update. or get the latest version from the market.

ALL my apps are from the market, that's what's weird.
Keep in mind that some apps and games may not work on the Atrix just yet because of the new type of display/resolution and don't forget the new tegra 2 chipset.

Need for speed plays great on mine. Asphalt 5 gives a white border on the right and top of display because of the resolution. I played it though and it's the fastest I've seen the game play. Larger companies like Gameloft and EA will probably update pretty quickly.
Are you talking about the full version of NFS: Shift? Of course the demo works, but the full version doesn't. It starts up and tries to download the 150mb of extra data from EA and then errors out saying "Unsupported Device". Sims 3 does the same thing.
Might want to wait a little, its not like the phone just came out today or anything.
well i bought plants vs zombies from the amazon app store just now. I downloaded and installed it via wifi and when ever I open it, it takes me to an hour glass loading then exits out and brings me back to my phones homepage! =(

I have it installed and working great on CM7. Do you have flash installed? Not sure if that's a requirement, but might try to download 10.3 and see if that helps.

I just checked - I don't have flash. So that's not the problem. Are you stock or are you running another rom? I'm on Deck's which AOSP, and its working there. See if other people are having trouble on your rom - if they aren't i would redownload and reinstall.

Are you using a sense rom, like the one that came stock? If so, you may be running out of room on your phone to install apps. Happened to me. I had to remove tons of apps to make room so others would work properly. And since Plants vs. Zombies is a VERY large app (like 75MB), that may be your problem. Check your storage in the system settings.
That's why I switched to CM 7, Sense alone takes over 100 MB and was taking up room I could use for apps.
hit menu, settings, applications or manage applications, find plants vs zombies, and hit clear data. worked like a charm for me.
Also if space is an issue 4 you judt hit move to sd in the app
I'm on Fresh 3.5, works fine for me. It did use up the last of my space though, before I moved it to SD. WTH is it 75MB, game isn't that complicated so far

Same thing happened to me. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling from the Amazon app store to correct it. Seemed to be a bad download or something.
you got a bad download, mine did this and finaly i was kicked back to the amazon app and had a pop up that i had recieved a bad download and to please redownload
You just missed it being one of the daily free apps a couple of days ago.

I had the same problem the OP had. I just uninstalled and then reinstalled and it works great. Love this game!

awesome game kind of short i thought it was going to be little longer but has replay value due to the fact you cant unlock everything through story mode
What do you do once you get all the achievements and all the items in the shop? This game was so short!

Hello. I.recently purchased Nova 2 from gameloft website for 4 euros. I honestly tried a cracked version before that. It didn't run well. I then purchased the game and it's exactly the same. The game often drops to what look to me 3 or 5 fps, very laggy in every situation. I tried with chainfire 3d but nothing changes. I am at the moment with latest cyanogen. I have read that people with desire HD run the game smooth so what problem do i have here?

you should try a complete wipe + reinstalling..
I was on Cyanogenmod when i bought the game and had no problem.. i'm on Virtuous right now and still plays smoothly
Complete wipe of the Tom or the app? Before installing cyanogen i did the complete clean uninstall. After the cracked version i also disinstalled the app from the manage apps, and then deleted the directory of gameloft from SD card. Then i purchased the game, installed apk and downloaded all the new game data. Can you give more info?

A compete wipe of the device and reinstall cyanogen. However you did it the first time so im clueless.
As for the .apk, i got it from the market but i dont think i really mather because all the cache files are downloaded from gameloft servers anyway

I had the same issues when i first played the game with the normal version you get when you buy it for the DHD. This version is somehow buggy i think. For me the lags where most noticeable while there where enemies on the screen. Seemed to me like there is some texture or effects on the guys that causes the lags.
I then tried about every version out there and to my surprise the Xperia Play version worked best. You might wanna give that a try Its the oldest Android Nova 2 version, 1.0.0. But it runs super smooth on my device! Note: The resolution is slightly off in the menus but the gameplay is perfectly fine.
I am gonna try the experia play version. Any hints on how I can find it?
And also i made someone download the game from the market on an Acer iconia with Tegra. It runs not smoother than my phone and it's weird i think. I don't expect 60 fps but on my phone it's just impossible even to just look around.
So i am waiting on advice on how to run the xperia version! By the way i get 2200 points on quadrant benchmark so i guess CPU and video are ok.

Found it even before your post! I was sure that was the version i tried before buying but maybe it isn't....this one works flawless, only weird things are the menu which is cropped and the initial intro video which is smaller than the screen. In game graphics are the same, but it runs very very well. Nothing like the other one! Thanks!

I noticed that the picture becomes blurry and the framerate drops down. It is like the game uses some sort of dynamic resolution. The weird thing is that when the picture is sharp, the game is very smooth. As soon as the picture pixelates and blurs the frames go very very low, unplayable. I wonder what causes that. Gameloft said that no one reported problems on the desire HD so i have no idea.

Gameloft released NOVA2 v 1.0.3 for some HTC models ... the link is available from support...just email them.
or Google search for this version this even works in SGTAB2 7.0 ( unrooted ) ...however the movement control gets stuck at times, you may have to pause the game & resume to play.
On Android phones ( not Tablets ) with smaller screen size , I think this version will play much better.
I tried ChainFire3D on it, but it fails to load.

Is anyone ale to view Netflix at all on this tablet?
I have an HTC EVO 3D and a Thrive. Netflix said is wasn't compatible with tablets. So I installed it on my rooted 3D then found the apk file in the /data/apps folder and copied it to my Thrive using WiFi File Explorer Pro. Installed with no problems. It did hang up for a few seconds the first time I ran it. Nothing major. It plays great now. Also did the same with my wife's Xoom. I have found this works good for a few apps. There are some apps that you can see on your android phone in the market but they are not there for the Thrive. The above method worked also. Of course these are apps that I paid for on the phone or tablet.

Asphalt 5 or 6 don't work... most likely a build. prop issue.
Heavy Gunner has an xy axis issue that is reported to be an ICS issue.
GTA III does work.
Has anyone moved the build.prop to get more games to install?

Not sure about build prop but I can say that Nova2 HD doesn't work (Gameloft sucks), Shadowgun force closes sometimes. Dead Space, Temple Run, Angry Birds Space and N64 emulator all work well.

GTAIII only barely works for me. It ends up freezing the controls, so if I was running, he just keeps running as I am still touching the controls. The controls also seem to lag greatly causing me to get my butt kicked when I am trying to mug people.
i'm considering buying this tab and games if definatly an interest. Was wondering has anyone tried a PSemulator on the tab? Wonder how that would play with something like say, FF7 also curious how Mini Motor Racing plays on the tab.

I removed it and re-installed it. Still doesn't work. It downloads the levels, goes to the PopCap screen then hangs forever, sometimes it makes it to the next screen (Loading...), then hangs.
I can't find a HD version, just the regular pay for version. It works just fine on my Atrix 2.
Real Racing 2 doesn't work. It installs but gets a server error 5002 when launched. I bought the Tab just for this awesome game!
I got a bunch of Gameloft games to work, by changing the build.prop to Galaxy Nexus. Same GPU as our tab, and high resolution, so the games should be optimized. Unzip this and overwrite the one inside /system/
Make a backup first, this might cause problems down the line.
EDIT: Yeah this kills sound. So, after you change your build.prop, download the games, install the data and restore your backed up build.prop. Sound will work again. The games will also still work.
There is an app on the market called "Device Spoofer" that makes this process easier.

Grand Theft Auto and Plants vs Zombies both work great for me on CM9.

That message you got is called a "force close" Some apps do this s8metimes especially if there are many apps fighting for Ram, thats when you need the multirasking butt8n, which looks like 2 frames with an overlap, selecting "Remove all" will clear up Ram.

PvZ works great for me, I am using version 1.3.16 with included data files to sd card.
however, it is always asking for network, just for starting the app.
GTA 3 work fine for me CM 10/1 and aopk oc kernel :good:
do you guys experience any lag in games on custom or official firmware and which firmware is best for gaming? I will get gtab 2 7.0 in few days so I thought it would be good to ask.

Nop, i can run Modern combat 4, GTA, dead trigger, spider man etc perfectly without any lag, using cm10.1 but with a official Rom it should the same.
