Applanet.net
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App

So do you mean you can browse and download applanet files from your pc?...how? i cant see an option for it on applanet.net.

u have to download their own market app (atm v2.8.0.5) and install to ur phone, then u can download via the Applanet app..

I think that is his problem... He can't download them from his phone, because he can't connect to the internet...

Yes that is correct...geez there are some real lemons around =D

You can seek for the games data package (especially for gameloft's games) at a Chinese forum http://www.nduoa.com/. Do not download their apk, most of them are in Chinese, but in the description of their games there will be links for data packages, just down and put them on your SD card.

God damn some people still don't know how to use an internet.
go to market look for app you like, see the version, then go to google write the app name and version and add apk then you will see many sites with download links.

but he needs the data too

What data? You dont need to place files on the sd-card if you install normal .apk games. Only with big games like Gameloft's you need data files, but that was not what he asked for. I really cant understand what he wants, like the data for Angry Birds where all the levels are complete? Or just the .apk?
Anyway this thread is dead.

if he wants only apks he can go to 4shared
and if he wants need for speed or pes he can go to piratebay and download torrent
and put data to /sdcard/Android/data

Samsung movies app, what a joke!

Has anyone else had a problem with Samsung movies app? I buy an Al Pacino movie and get a Will Ferrell one! My friend also had similar problems with the portal...NO email support either.
I dont have a movie app
Not on mine either .
Delivery of movies is it i wonder via a third party .
jje
No movie app here either.
Are you sure is Samsung App?
OP probably downloaded something from elsewhere because I can't recall a Samsung movie app at all and can't find one on the Samsung Apps store.
Lol there isn't any samsung movie app... as others have said. Are you sure you didn't download an app by a dev named Sansung or something?
OP be trolling
Is he an iPhone user?
i had a samsung movies app when i fist got the phone, has now been removed.
Probably due to being rubbish!!

From where did you get the app .
This may help others check it out .
Would it be the Flixter Movies app from Samsung Apps download .
jje
it was available to download from samsung apps.
The icon was similar to the flixter one however the app appeared to be a pay per view / downoad type app.
I didnt bother to download anything so cant comment on the quality of the app.
I dont think samsung apps has a dedicated movie download service. Flixter is for reviews and show listings.

Yes i have a samsung movie app as well, not used it because they hardly have any movies! Also have a samsung music and ebook app store, both equally useless.
Samsungmovies.com powered by Acetrax
EDIT: you need to sign up at the above site. If you rent you get a phone copy only, if you buy you get a phone copy and a PC copy which i dont think is DRMed but havent checked. Actually the movie choice isnt too bad, but its still not a match for other sources.

And don't be calling me a Troll without knowing the facts Diik head!
you download via the suggests app its got a samsung logo. Everytime I try to login to the app it just says registered country is incorrect. How do I change this.......I'm in uk and have not had to specify a country anywhere when registering.

I had problems registering via the phone...you need to go to the webiste via PC, register, then log on with mobile. Be careful though, as I mentioned it is flaky and sometimes wrong movies get downloaded.
Samsung Apps market is country specific so nfs may show up for Euro countires but not for US in the case of TAB...similarily for the movie app. So just because one cannot see it in their market does not mean its not there...
Stop being such defensive trolls!

Facebook app

I know they took it off the market and there are apk's on threads here. However I am unable to get anything to work. I have downloaded 4 versions of the app all from different links and got the same result from version 1.5.4 and below. When downloading through the stock browser it instantly fails to download the apk, and through Dolphin it will say the download completed but it is always a 708kb file that I show in my downloads afterward, when the apk's I was downloading were all actually 2+MB in size and of course the files could not be opened once downloaded. Am I going insane here or what the hell could possibly be wrong? Sorry the post got lengthy.
Download an app called Friend Me. Its better than the Facebook app.

I checked that out but there was no chat. That's really all I used the app for. I use the main site for most stuff but chat is a huge pain in the ass on there.

Getjar is an application download store just like the Amazon Marketplace and Android Market. The only difference is that they contract with developers to give certain paid apps away for free to the consumer. A lot like the Amazon Free App of the Day.
For each download of a paid app (for free), the developer is reimbursed by Getjar. Getjar, in turn, makes it's money when people click on sponsored Apps for download. The paid apps for free are clearly highlighted in a gold color. The sponsored apps are clearly highlighted in a light blue color (along with the text "Sponsored" beneath the Free button). You do not have to download any sponsored apps to obtain the paid apps for free.
Since the developers are getting paid by Getjar on a per download basis, it's not considered Warez.
Please also note that not all apps on the Getjar website are the full versions for free (there are a lot of the same apps as found in the Market with built-in advertising). Only those developers who agree to Getjar's reimbursement program will have the full version of their apps available for free to the user.
Good example of paid app for free: Glyder 2 by Glu
----
Now if anyone knows where the downloaded apk's are stored (i.e. where is Getjar's cache?) I'd appreciate knowing. Right now, I'm having to back them up with Titanium Root in case they get removed from the Getjar store.
I just want to know that when i download a paid app from getjar.com then can i able to update that app through market or not.
If my information help you than hit thanks button.

Check your Wifi sleep policy in the advanced settings in the wifi settings...i think your wifi turns off when your screen is off..that is by default...that is why the download is interrupted...you have to change it to Never turn off wifi

Hi
windows store is not available for my country. is there any 3rd party software to download apps from microsoft windows store? we have the same situation for google play store and i use an app named "real apk leecher" which searches the google play store and downloads apk files from it.
For android you can use torrents and black market app

Guys stop talking about warez, torrents and blackmart alpha and sideloading.....it will lead to piracy.....dont discuss on xda.discuss on forums like market militia if at all u want to discuss such a topic. The Archangel or some other moderator will close this thread soon ...... I understand the OP's urge to use metro apps but you should have used a pm instead
Anyway ill help...as far as i know there is no other way to sideload apps except by getting a developer license from microsoft.

I haven't seen anything like this for the Windows 8 store yet, your best bet is probably going to be getting a US-based VPN.
i had no chance with vpn. but succeeded with fiddler + socks proxy. however, download speed is very low. i hope someone make a good leecher soon.
I've read that its possible to side load 8 apps (and indeed chrome does it upon install) but I've never looked into it.

How to get some free apps from GPlay without root.

Have you ever wanted to get an awesome free app from Google Play on the HDX but you just don't have root? Well that is actually easier than you might think at first. I hope this will be useful, personally I use this trick a lot.
1.) Go to the google play store on the web and choose a free app (it only works with free apps)
2.) copy the URL and paste it in the search bar of the following website:
apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
3.) click generate download link.
4.) choose which app you want to download the apk with.
5.) then click open file, and then hit install.
6.) Play the game!
I use this trick to download stuff that isn't on the Amazon market but is free, like the Buzz launcher and other games. I hope this helped someone, and thanks.
I think most of the xda users will know how to do similar things, but maybe there is a new guy out there who doesn't. like me half a year ago!
Good to know... I've been able to use 3rd party stores for everything I've needed so far

Cool, thanks man.Never thought of that, but I never had an advanced phone- no need. For my uses a nokia brick is good enough.
Or just sideload 1mobile market. no root needed for it to work just for the apps it cna download that need root just like normal playstore it has all the free apps that google play does. I assume its similar to those apk downloaders out there but just does it on the device and in an interface that works well and even allows searching and the like.
