any leecher for win store? - Windows 8 General

Hi
windows store is not available for my country. is there any 3rd party software to download apps from microsoft windows store? we have the same situation for google play store and i use an app named "real apk leecher" which searches the google play store and downloads apk files from it.

For android you can use torrents and black market app

Guys stop talking about warez, torrents and blackmart alpha and sideloading.....it will lead to piracy.....dont discuss on xda.discuss on forums like market militia if at all u want to discuss such a topic. The Archangel or some other moderator will close this thread soon ...... I understand the OP's urge to use metro apps but you should have used a pm instead
Anyway ill help...as far as i know there is no other way to sideload apps except by getting a developer license from microsoft.
Hit thanks if i helped you

im not asking for any warez/torrent bla bla bla
as i said, real apk leecher is a similar app for google play market which is available on xda forums.

I haven't seen anything like this for the Windows 8 store yet, your best bet is probably going to be getting a US-based VPN.

i had no chance with vpn. but succeeded with fiddler + socks proxy. however, download speed is very low. i hope someone make a good leecher soon.

I've read that its possible to side load 8 apps (and indeed chrome does it upon install) but I've never looked into it.

Browsers have special exceptions, and they aren't in the store either. You can't install them on rt.

[q] what's the best avenue for making app requests?

There are a few apps that I would like to see in the future. But I would like to know wheres an effective place to request apps and developers review and consider? (If there is an avenue that does exist that is.)

Browser Login Utility
Hi,
I was using an app called Open Wifi Login before.
it was able to submit to (including hidden fields) browser login pages regardless of the validity of SSL Certificates (accepts all certificates).
it was disabled in v1.5 by the developers and replaced as a paid app now.
unfortunately paid apps are not supported in my country.
also, i was only able to install it via appbrain before, which is also disabled now.
another app like it exists, Wifi Browser Login, but it doesn't support accepting all certificates. i'm still unable to access the free wifi available in here including from work and some malls.
maybe anyone could provide the apk for the earlier versions of it... v1.3 or v1.4?
or maybe someone could develop a free app like it?
i think it is a very useful tool to have.
Thanks.

update app without user interaction

Hi all
I would like to know if it's possible to update a third party application without user action.
I noted that the android market can self-update the installed apps. The user is not asked about an acknowledgment.
I don't want to offer my self-coded app in the market. I found a way to update this app from my homepage, but the user must this affirm.
you could make a service that runs when the phone boots up that checks whether a new version exists, and if it does it downloads it.

thanks for your help.
That's not the problem. The download and the install works fine. All I want is to get rid of the dialog asking the user whether he want to update or not.
sorry ignore, misread the question

my application is not available on the market. it's a business applikation only used by our company. therefore i don't want to upload it to the market.
oh I get you. I know it must be possible because like you said the market can do it, but I don't know how, sorry.
ill do some digging and see what I can find.

Android Banking

Hello!
I'm really sorry, I'm asking here because don't know where to ask.
Few months ago I've bought on the Market Android Banking app. It was pooled from the Market. Right know I can't find it seems like it is not here anymore. Tried to contact developer he is not answering too.
Who can give me advice what to do? May be somebody have last version of that app 4.5.1
Can somebody help me? Or it is not worth it?
i have no idea but alot of banks have their own apps, like chase and etc.
You can always google android banking .apk (or whatever the name of the app is) and you should be able to find it like that. Find the apk file download from phone and install. Make sure you have install from unknown sources checked in your settings. Or download apk from computer and transfer to your sd card and install from there. Hope this helps!
Edit... also mobile banking applications are proven to not be that safe so at the least make sure you also download android firewall to make your information a little more secure. Remember though android phones are known to be very easily hacked into!!!!

Maybe its just me, but I would be very skeptical of any generic "banking" app, especially one that has now been pulled from the market. I would not touch it with a 100 ft pole...

new google play market

Thank you, it works on RCMixS (android 2.3.3)
It is very smooth on cyanogen. But i bet it'll lag a bit on sense roms.
Play Market, silly name. Sounds more like a toy shop.
I've had some problems connecting to and downloading apps using mobile data on Sandvold ICS. Using WiFi usually works.
Here is version 3.4.7 (just check OP's version 3.4.6).
Hope OP doesn't mind I post the updated version here.

That's exactly what I thought when the name and icon changed to "Play Shop" unexpectedly. I thought perhaps they were launching a seperate one just for games and entertainment, keeping apps seperate or something.
It's smooth on Redux 1.2
thanks
Thank you!!
I was looking but he was not finding her, and neither the update was bringing in me...

And you probably got that xda premium app there for free right?
The new market is absolutely brilliant! Great smooth transitions and elegant graphics! ICS Style baby!
Why google play says "your device isn't compitable with this item" when looking Death rally (free)? Tried already to clear market (google play) data and cache but that didn't help.

Yes Google Play is more fast than Android Market. But he's capricious with Market Link

Supports Google Play Store 3.5.15. Please note: Play Store is capricious with Market links because it relies more on Google's servers. If you want more control we encourage you to ask Google. It's their app. Let them know the goal you want to achieve. Once they provide a way, we'll give you full control of it!

I never use the app... web browsing is far comfortable to use and my apps are automatically updated. No lost time.
The only missing feature to the website is the installed applications on the device (from GPlay...).

AdAway

dont know why suddenly it just got off the playstore.
disappeared.
googled up abit and i found this
https://code.google.com/p/ad-away/
I received an email from Google Play that AdAway was removed due to "Violation of section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement." Thus, it will never be available on Google Play again. Please switch to F-Droid, the open alternative to Google Play!
Allow app installs from 'unknown sources'
Download https://f-droid.org/FDroid.apk to your device
Install this apk
Open F-Droid and search for AdAway
AdAway
AdAway is an open source ad blocker for Android using the hosts file. It needs Android >= 2.1 and ROOT access.

what's F-droid ? like playstore ? is it safe ?
Google Removes All Ad-Blocker Apps From Google Play Store
not sure.. there was a good one Adfree.. even thats gone..
something i found here
http://www.heavy.com/regions/2013/03/google-removes-ad-blocker-apps-from-google-play-store/
Google banned all apps that are blocking adverts from Play. Fck google!
Just found out the same by trying to install an ad blocker on my friend's phone.
I would say F-Droid is pretty safe, at least the AdAway author recommends it!
"Don't be evil?"
Rom Toolbox pro still does adblocking, though I'm not sure if it's as good as or better than Adaway or ABP were. Rom Toolbox Pro is absolutely worth the money for any root user anyway.
Google has also sent an email to jrummy, so even that will be taken down soon.
I got a copy a adaway, if anyone wants it lemme know.
Wtf is Google doing ?
Are they tracking users as well ?
ROM Toolbox includes an ad blocker.
Since Adaway is opensource I've compiled it and posted the latest version here.
its newer than what was in the play store.
Google!!
No one likes adverts and pop ups, Wtf!?
Please don't end up like Apple

Really? Nothing is stopping you from side loading apk's outside of the Play Store, and the adblock apps did break Google's TOS.
But you're right, no one likes ads, but how do you think devs earns money? By giving away their hard work for free? Nope.
If you don't like ads, then buy an ad-free version of the app or side load an adblocker and move on.

Of course I'm all for supporting devs, and if am app is worth paying for I will pay for it.
Most of the ads are just crap and not related to other apps, just things like "increase your penis size by 10"
But rules are rules so i have to accept your comment and agree with you. Side loading apps is okay now n then, but can attract bogus apps so users should be cautious.

Yup, that's just the way it is.
F Droid is a store ONLY for open source apps! So it is to be trusted

thank u all for your replies. hope this discussion stays healthy and perhaps in the future there can be some kind of win-win situation.

If you have a rooted phone,
Search a adblock host file here on xda or in a rom you have somewhere and put it manualy with rootexplorer in
/System/etc
Replace the empty existed one
I have a lot of ad block host file on my sdcard and all my rooted phone have it and no ads come on my phone.
All apps on the store just replace/mirror your default host file with a updated one.
But I think it's better to do this manualy, because this host file is very sensistive for network and if you have a bad line in,then a virus or malware could pass.
Or
if it to strong, then you cannot surf on certain site or watch video.
To edit it,
just go on google dash and ads notifier panel,
and copy all network adress, then put them in your edited host file for block it

Think so too. Installed Fdroid.apk and AdAway, Avast said nothing after scanning the files.
