Here we go again: LATEST_FW_VERSION: I9100XWKE2/I9100XEUKD1/I9100XXKDJ/I9100XWKE2 - Galaxy S II General

Seems like they're on a roll. Build date 6th May.
Available via Kies, don't have an ODIN link yet.
Download link for ODIN: Megaupload or multiupload

Jesus Christ. Is there a change log somewhere?

Wow. It sucks that stuff was broken in the first place but you've got to give Samsung credit for staying on top of it and turning these releases around. I'm glad I won't have my phone until tomorrow. I'll be able to skip some of the gymnastics. I really hope this one nails the battery issues.

ODIN ODIN ODIN. I already froze Kies, and have no intention of unfreezing it, lol.

lol this is fun, well i will get use to using odin i guess so its a good thing, let us know when u have the link
Please

Uploading Odin version now (is no one will beat me to it)

is that baseband or build number?
because my basband is kdj
and is this for unlocked uk versions?

Would anyone be kind enough to upload the new kernel on it's own or tell me how to extract it from the files so that I can re-flash after rooting

If you have XWKE1, you have the latest baseband. But this update will still give you a PDA update.
Kies only release them as a package, that's why you have to apply it all, even though you only need the PDA update.
Yes, it is unlocked UK version.
If you have Korean or O2 versions, please check your Kies for updates, do not use these files.

Yep, just rooted. All is still good

Why Does the filename say XEUKD1 whereas the latest PDA version is XEUKD2? Is that a mistake or the PDA updates to XEUKD1

New to Samsung flashing.. Do i just flash the tar file as PDA in Odin?

Just updated 02 simfree all fine

Finished updating.
Don't see any immediate changes...

Go to samfirmware and download INDIAN 2.2 Froyo I9000DDJP6, its a single file, so no need of pit or anything, just flash it with that single file and connect to kies.

I think spoofing the current fw to ddjp6 should also work.
I havent tried the spoofing method myself beacuse I will be flashing directly with the 2.3.3 indian version using odin.
If anyone is trying spoofing method, please let us know how you did it.
1. battery issue present in this ROM too ?
2. Hindi fonts ?

[Q] How do I unroot and restore to official firmware?

I got my galaxy s4 through T-mobile UK. however it seems to be unlocked and unbranded. I cannot confirm its unlocked as I've never tried another sim card in it - but I see no branding and everything suggests it is unbranded.
In the about phone section of the settings it says my baseband is i9505XXUDMH6 but I cannot find a firmware that matches this anywhere! Also, kies won't work with my phone I guess because its got a custom ROM on it and its rooted so there isn't really any way I know of to find out more and the modem and PDA etc..
I have no idea what firmware I need to be looking for? The unbranded UK one off sam mobile is taking 8 hours to download and has stopped halfway through twice now
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if this is not the appropriate forum to ask this question!
I have exactly the same problem with my firmware on Sammobile, never completes the download. A 1.6 Gb filesize for Android firmware is obscene enough to begin with, but not being able to complete the download is driving me mental!

Okay, I've been downloading that file for the past hour now luckily! So when (if) this downloads. I can follow that same guide you've linked just using the file I've downloaded in place of the one it provides?
I'm still a little bit confused about those PIT files - I see it changes how the storage on the device is partitioned. Do I want to do that? :S

What country code are you on now? This German (DBT) suppose to be for unbranded phones, but people have problems flashing this. Keeps getting fail in Odin. I'm having this too and I'm standing back for the moment awaiting solution.
You can flash the Polish (XEO) NB3 and the file can be downloaded from sammobile.com/firmwares

You mentioned nogo to 4.3 due to bootloader however i dindt check the bootloader option in odin (see screenshot). Should i tick that as well next time?
Well there is some debate as to if you should check the bootloader or not.
With the leaked Polish firmware it came in seperate files. You needed to check to upgrade the Bootloader.
With the XEO single .zip firmware you don't need to check it as it upgrades automatically - plenty agree with this. -- There is a few people who say that by not checking it, it hasn't upgraded for them and some just recommend you check it for good luck sake.

MEGA is country based per account. So if I upload to my MEGA it comes from a UK Server which is slow to Asia/America etc, trick is to set up your own MEGA account, and then import it from the download MEGA link and it'll switch to a server in your country and you'll get faster download speeds

Flashing Another Region Firmware/Effect on Sim Usage

Hi!
I have an Indian Version of S7 Edge G935FD and I wish to flash the BTU version for the Nougat update.
I have a few queries first:
1. Can I use an Indian Sim (Or Any other country's Sim)on the rom? (The packaging has the Indian Sim Only label)
2. Will the network be smooth? I use 4G here. Are there any issues that I may face or any one of you faced?
3. Anything else I should know?
Thanks!

2. Will the network be smooth? I use 4G here. Are there any issues that I may face or any one of you faced? - Yes, your network will work normally. You won't notice any difference. The only thing you won't have is VoLTE.
3. Anything else I should know? - Only do this if you want Nougat NOW. Otherwise wait until it's relased on your firmware. But you won't have any issues.

Yes. I am too excited for Nougat so I'm unable to control myself. The issue is there is no word on when the Nougat will come in India. The samsung officials have no comment except "There is no update about it yet" or "we do not have official timeline for nougat update in Indian market"
An official word on an estimated time frame for the update would work wonders. Is there any reason why I should wait?

One last question. The link given in another thread doesn't work or has download limit. Is this (https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/BTU/) the correct site for official signed btu ?
