Mate, this is strictly a paid app. No warez or cracks

Pics do not do this launcher justice... go to YouTube and check out the video for it.
It is THE slickest launcher made... and it runs fine on our phones.

The cons outweigh the pros on this one imho, I have spb on my winmo device and its great. But really, this is absolutely useless on our android device's simply because on winmo it made our phones look like we had android os.
Price: $14.95
AndroidTapp.com Android App Review:

Eats battery power for fun.

Thanks mate, for the info

I would've love to buy this if only it was priced competitively

I find it overpriced.
I used SPB Shell on Symbian and didn't like it so I don't want to risk $15 for nothing...

Also, shortcuts get auto-arranged from the top left corner... thus, you can't have a line of four shortcuts to your apps in the bottom of the screen for example - you have to fill it up to reach those spaces.

I do agree on giving credit where credit is due these developers put in alot of time on this stuff but they should really put out a free version for people to try, Launcher pro, ADW, Open Home and Regina all have free versions. I'm not dishing out 15 bucks for something I havent tried besides they need to work on battery drain in my opinion but overall SPD is an alright launcher just alot of "bling" I don't really need.

+1; really will not pay for something I cannot test. Also, IMHO this one is mostly "cool factor", not so much useful functionality.

There is a cracked version.. Just Google it and follow the instructions on how to install it or better use Droidwall

[CONCEPT] ''Kinect Phone'' Complete overhaul

Hi,
I updated my xbox 360 dashboard a while ago, and I was completely blown away by the new 'kinect dashboard' graphic style. I decided, this is what I want my smartphone to look like. I'm sure most of you agree with me, stock android is ugly, sense is too fancy and glossy looking, and Windows Phone 7 looks awesome, but a bit too plain. So I think I've found a perfect inbetween, ''Kinect Phone''. (working title obviously) I tried to imitate the kinect graphic style a bit, without completely copying it, and tried to adapt it to look good on a smartphone. I've finnished a home screen mockup a while ago, and I'm currently working hard to theme the framework completely. I will only release this when it's completely finnished, and probably first on the HD2, since it's the only phone I own. I made some mockup images a while ago, please note the below screenshots are quite old, and the theme has progressed quite a bit, but I don't want to ruin the suprise . Here they are:

This graphic overhaul will hopefully feature:
- A completely skinned version of Android
- A completely skinned launcher
- Skinned applications
- Different themes (e.g. Watchmen, Red Dead Redemption (as shown in screenshots), Black Ops etc.)
- Animated Widgets (some help here?)
- Different hubs (stock ones will be: Home, Social, Media, Games, Office and Internet)
- Custom sound scheme
- A large collection of wallpapers and icons.
Things which are already done (as of 24/12/2010):
- Custom launcher with custom widgets
- Boot screen
- A couple of themed apps (settings, browser, messaging and gmail)
- Found a way to realize different themes
- A large psd document with a lot of graphics which will be used
Things I need help with:
- A windows mobile version
- Animated widgets (home++ seems to have this, but I'm not using home++ for a number of reasons)
- Changing the system font to Segoe WP
This overhaul takes elements from:
- Sense (The clock and some ideas)
- Windows Phone 7 (icons)
- Android (unavoidable I suppose)
- XBOX 360 Kinect dashboard
Themeing android is quite simple, as opposed to Windows Mobile. As I'd love to release a Windows Mobile version (Cookies Home Tab 2.0 has a lot of potential) does someone have some useful information about themeing it?
This thread's purpose is to get your opinions, and help of course
So enough talking, let me know what you think!

No idea, and I didn't know you'd need a custom ROM or I wouldn't have suggested it. Will people need to use a specific build to use your theme then?

Let's talk launchers !

What launcher should someone with a heavy passion for themes use?
Smoothest launcher other than TouchWiz ?
What do you guys use?
I use go launcher. It's free and really nice. Although I did roll back to an earlier version because one of the updates wasn't to my liking.
Tried loads, always return to go launcher.

If you like themes then I guess Go launcher is your best bet. I like Launcherpro / Launcher7 and those both are themable quite easily too
I alternate from TW 4.5 and GoLauncher, so far the latest update of GoLauncher is a winner for me. It's like the Charlie Sheen of Launchers.
Without doubt go launcher is the most functional and customizable launcher you can get and its free.

I'm struggling to see that as a compliment. I switched from LauncherPro to Go Launcher recently and haven't regretted the decision. I miss LauncherPro's built-in scrollable widgets, but have replaced those with Android Pro Widgets instead.
I'd been getting issues for some time with LauncherPro freezing for ages on startup, Go Launcher has no such problems and with the most recent update has the 3D app drawer too; bonus.
I use Go Launhcer!! A very good app, with lots of customizations ans a very active dev...Not very smooth as TW launcher though...
Go Launcher is ace, it has alot of themes out for it and i belive the devs also have a program to assist people in building there own.
For me its Go Launcher + Matted Blue theme = win.
I use SPB Shell 3D, works like a charm with the S2 and gives me all that I want!!
Having tried a few - openhome,go launcher and the original launcher, I came to the conclusion that ADW ex is the best of the bunch, runs smoothly, very customizable, including home icon size, home grid customization, and the screen transitions, appdock and drawer options are out of this world.
Most of the ones available on the Market are very good, and there's very little between them. TBH, the best thing you can do is just try them all and see which you prefer. Personally, I'm all over the GO apps at the minute - Launcher, SMS Pro, Contacts, Dialer - they're all great!
Seriously - ignore everyone and just try them all yourself for a day or two.

Sums up the Go launcher to a tee, this quotation, rather a mess, not as slick as others, a bit of a hodge podge, although Charlie Sheen goes one step further and equates to a complete W&$ker
I have tried so many launcher spent way to much time faffing about with them, back with TW, so slick and fast, and does everything I need.

Who the heck is responsible for the 4x4 grid??

I´m sorry if this has been posted before - but I can´t stand the fact, that Samsung shows such a massive effort for software optimizations and special functions, which CLEARLY are pushing the Note III to the top of every smartphone list - while, at the same time, STILL messing around with the restricted grid system in TW.
How can ANYBODY (that keeps an eye on the smartphone market and on the success of alternative launchers) think that a 4x4 grid (- on such a big device with such a great resolution -) is a good idea, looks good, feels good, makes sense or simply is a good choice??
I hate the restriction in general - it shouldn´t be that a problem to simply integrate a "free choice" function into the almighty TW. But hey, you Samsung guys...a 4x4? really?? I even used a 6x7 grid on my S3.
Sorry, perhaps it´s just my mood...

no, you are right. They have had this problem from the first note. Someone in their R&D department isn't doing their job properly or someone higher up is screwing with us. With samsung's resources, it really shouldn't be that hard to let us customize the launcher through some secret menu or something.
If you're talking about the launcher then simply install Apex or Nova. That's the first thing I do with a new phone. I can't remember the last time I saw a native TouchWiz launcher.
10x7
I've been using a 10 (+1) x 7 grid on my Note 1 w/Nova and I am already happy for the extra row I will be able to add on the taller screen of the III (this is going to be my 4S to 5 moment )

I always replace the launchers. Just for the gestures alone. Swiping up or down or even more complex gestures for actions etc.
Im pretty sure some ROMS offer custom row densities on TW.

4x4 works for me on my Note 2 ... you can put multiple apps into a folder. I don't see why Samsung can't offer a denser layout for those that need or want it.

Here is my 8x9 grid on the 4 inch Galaxy S. This translates to an 11x13 grid on the note 3's 5.7 inch.

Normally no. However this version swiping up launches the magazine app.
But like I said most custom launchers have a custom swiping feature. So you can make a swipe up down double tap etc do almost anything you want . apex and nova are the most popular.

Sense 5.5 - More then meets the eye

So I updated my One to the leaked builds and all I can say is wow. I saw The Verge review about the One Max and they downplayed the updates in 5.5 but I am amazed by the refinements. Here are some of the top ones
The already stellar Gallery got better. Sliding tabs, easy editing of Video Highlights, folders are beautifully designed, no more switching between events view and album view.

The new 360 Camera walks circles around photosphere. I took a quick shot in my hallway and it was perfect. The camera sound is also more refined.
Full lock screen widget support (that recognize its not the primary screen so they are automatically expanded.. YAY)
Blink feed has been updated in numerous ways, I particularly enjoy the screen while it is personalizing.. I will update a pic from my One in a bit. G+ integration throughout, GDrive backup support (instead of just Dropbox)
Edit: you can also add your preferred Read it Later application to add from blinkfeed... Beautifully done HTC.
Editable quick settings with interchangeable tabs and buttons
Refined weather app & new scribble app.
Those are just some of the features I noticed. Maybe Google should invest in HTC purely for the screens they have and the software enhancements. Vanilla Android would be so much more easy to swallow if they included a gallery and enhancements like HTC did.. oh yeah, one more thing...... its smoother then butter, throughout the OS
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4
And also may I add:
-Native option for 5x6 grid in the App drawer
-Memory optimizations (more free ram)
-Better auto focus in low light (the led lights before focusing)
-Better keyboard with improved autocomplete and a s**tload of new emoticons
-Refined Music app
-New widgets (try out the big music widget - awesome)
*At some point I was informed though Blinkfeed that I am eligible for an extra 40 gigs in Gdrive, but I couldnt make it work
And possibly many more hidden (the more I fiddle with it the more I find)
The only thing I miss are the different lock screen styles.
Ps. You should really really try the scribble app. Tons of options and fun, especially with a stylus
Another great option... The ability to Hide apps in the app drawer on stock Sense

The TV app has been improved greatly. You don't have to go in to the menu anymore for the power toggles. They are accessed by swiping across the screen. Also the layout on the ch/vol screen is a lot better. The overall feel of the software is better too as there is also more memory available If it performs like this on the Max the 600 processor is more than adequate. HTC has really optimized sense to the processor really well. Since owning the device I have seen hardly if any lag.

Yeah I'm loving Sense 5.5 as well. I honestly hate BlinkFeed and I love that I can turn it off without a third party app now. Too bad it didn't fix the camera.

Petition A protest against Huawei/EMUI's old school Multitasking/recent app menu

many of us have had enough, let's face it the old school kitkat style of Huawei's multitasking/recent apps is a joke and destroy the whole workflow and multitasking of the device
My Plan is to collect as many names as possible and I will send it to Huawei.
What makes me angry is that even Huawei 8 seem to have the same multitasking look.
So I will make the same thread in the Mate 8 forum aswell.
Vote in the poll and write in the thread what you voted.
THIS is what multitasking on android SHOULD look like.

I disagree, I like the way Huawei presents it, although I do find it a bit buggy at times

Yes I agree. Well the sad part is there is no easy way to get rid of this EMUI multitasking, a different launcher will not help, if you go thru great pain to root the device and modify the software a lot you can get rid of it, but it is not easy. If it was possible to change with laucnher it wold be no problem, unless you root no matter what you do if you push the multitask/recent apps button it will lead to the EMUI recent app pages, which is usless, the main reason for that it lacks of "overview, only "4 taps" are visible, while with android vanilla way you can over 20 tabs or more visible in just an overview, which is very superior, also it goes a lot faster to swipe thru all tabs, while in the EMUI you have to swipe thru packages, this is typical "chinese brainless" software design. That it looks almost the same for the Mate 8 does make me very angry, this is a dealkiller for me, multi tasking is important, I used the LG G3 for 3 months during my Mate 7 was on repair I did really like the standard recent app tabs, it is so superior so much faster and flexible, I have no idea why the chinese do not see this, there is no benifit at all with EMUI's recent apps functionality, it is also to slow and responsive to be useful. it should be fast and snappy as it was on ,y LG G3. Shame on you Huawei...I hope you are reading this.

Can you guide me to switch to stock recent apps

For multi tasking I have now found a life chahing app..
Really recommend this one!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.echoff.easyswitch&hl=sv
the only downside with it is that the logo looks almost like skype.
Symtoms of using this app is that you very rarely use the home buttton even though I use nova launcher
there is not need to go back to home screen, just one swipe the left and you will get all your app icons ONTOP the screen you are on..
Also super fast to switch between the last used app and the app you are using. both apps are loaded in memory so the translation is seamless.
Mm multitasking image.
