I would be also very interested in this. Permanently separated L from R today

so am I. I was looking for the original headset but was not able to find it. Please, once someone find it, place the link in this topic!
Thanks

i've never used mine - I wasn't happy with sound-quality.
You know what? Will trade mine (unused!) for this (http://www.obostore.com/2200mah-andida-battery-for-motorola-bf5x-p-787.html)

what the heck... just bought it - i guess it's worth a try

That battery capacity is certainly overrated. There's no way increasing the battery capacity by more than 40% without increasing the battery size.

I use iphone 3G headset.
All work fine. Button and mic.

I found two headsets original from Motorola,
which one is better: SJYN0394A or SJYN0234A?

I would be very happy to trade you one of those, I have one lying in my cupboard...though
That battery is a piece of [email protected], I brought it in China. Used it for 3 weeks and it wouldnt charge anymore through the phone...costed like USD5

You can try to fix that by your own by soldering. Or you can ask a technician to fix that.
I fix headphones and small problems like that will only cost you around US$1 to fix. )

radio work fine too

hi.....i was looking for it to...but in true motorola uses a generic sony earphone

Defy OEM headset

using my own earphones - person on the other end cant hear me

im using my own set of earphones with the x10. now with my earphones plugged in and i make a call, the other person cant hear me. when i unplug the earphones, then he/she can hear me. this doesnt happen with my previous nokia phones. is there a way around this? my phone is a rogers x10 if it helps.
Sent from my X10a using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
I posted this problem in the earphones thread in the assesories section and got no reply.
Either they don't use their phones to call or they don't own the phone yet.
I solved this by getting a stereo bluetooth headset. for me, its the SE MW600.
i think when i plug in my earphones, the phone thinks that im using the supplied headset that has a built in microphone. i dont plan on buying the mw600 anytime soon :-(

This happens for me too, didn't happen with my W995...
It's not a huge problem though, for me at least. I mean, you have to take the phone out of your pocket anyway to answer, and then it's not a big deal to yank out the earbuds as well for that conversation.
why don't use the original adapter for the earphones?

Ya. The phone is designed to assume that when you have headphone plugged in that they include a mic. If they don't, you should be connecting the mic adapter and then plug your headphones into that. Otherwise, ya, you won't be able to talk.
That's why they made the mic adapter with a standard 3.5mm jack, rather than building it into the included earbuds.

I use my shure headphones which I find the best for music/calls/media. I use it on almost all my devices (ipod, laptop). Most of the time when I take a call at home ill be lying on my bed using the headphones. Wish there is a way around this
edit: just read saltorios reply. ill try using the adapter, but wished it would just work outside the box just like any other phone
SE MW600
How do these headphones perform all that have them? Are they worth $100, and if anyone received a better deal than that could you please direct me to where you ordered yours from.
I already know that some Canadians received it when they ordered through Rogers. So if thats how you obtained your set no need to direct me there, because I am in Chicago, IL and thats too far a drive for me.

Need a new rear/multimedia speaker.

Hi, I'm new here and I dunno where to post this stuff.
My Nexus S rear speaker was heavily damaged when I try to test the equalizer setting 2 weeks ago and now it's completely gone. No sound at all.
Is there anyone knows how to get the new sparepart for the speaker because I can't find it anywhere in my country, Malaysia. I've tried searching online but can't find any website that sell it.
What type of speaker does this phone have. Can it fit any other speakers model from different phone such as SGS or SGS2?
Thank you..And sorry for my english (I think my english is ok)

You probably have, but just to make sure...have you considered sending it back to Samsung? This is a hardware defect if there ever was one.

Yes I have asked Samsung in here but they said my phone have to be send to Samsung Korea because they don't have the part for this phone. It will take 3-4 weeks or maybe more. Actually Nexus S in my country is very rare, only few lucky people get their hands on these phones. That's why it s really troublesome when something like this happens. If only I can get the part, I have no problem replacing it myself.

I know it'd be a pain, but you may want to take them up on the offer. Could cost you less than a new phone.

PM me your info, ill drop one in the mail for you. I got charged for a phone that I didn't return on time so I have parts.

Dumb Flip Phone repurposed as a Cheap Bluetooth Handset

If I wanted to try and repurpose a flippy phone to slave to a smart phone, and be able to pick up and end calls, would there be a particular model or OSS base I'd have the best luck with? Like having a smartphone, but my parents don't, and I want to find something bulletproof. If it could it somehow dial out as well, I'd be set, but one thing at a time I guess.

This would be cool to have. I'm sure there are a number of Nokia or Motorola phones out there that would work with Android if you're skilled enough as a hacker.
Gonna dust this off. What other ways could one go about having a flip phone pair to take calls from your smartphone, outside of fabrication wholesale? I dunno any cheaply disposable phones that can be reprogrammed, and maybe the Raspberry Pi could work, but it seems like a waste to throw that much hardware at a device that can stick in your ear. Anypony?

This is an awesome idea, though I am not sure how you'd do it.
The best I could find was this:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20073460-1/bluetooth-headset-pretends-to-be-mini-phone/
Which I actually found for sale here, but I have no idea how reputable that site is...

Anyone know of anything better?
I have bought some basic stuff (no phones ) from at dinodirect.com and it was ok for was it was (cheep).

Okay, Nice to know that there is a commercial option, but is there anywhere I can get bluetooth headsets and clamshell cases in bulk? I know a decent amount a solder-fu, and a friend with a CNC, so I might be able to get some sort of kickstarter going maybe perhaps?

Works as described
...and still on this thread, I have been looking for a Bluetooth Flip Dialer for ages. Lots of mini ones now, I dont want the worlds smallest bloody thing. I just want a normal size Flip phone handset to bluetooth to my smart phone.

Stock Earphones.

I really enjoy those stock earphones that came with my Play, good quality, durable and song pausing/skipping. But just recently mine broke so I snagged my sisters earphones (Xperia Neo's) which she never used, Didnt fit her ears. SADLY I lost those and have been missing them for one week :silly:
To me it has always been quite opposite, regular earmuffs dont fit at all and I have to correct them all the time while my Xplays muffs were perfect.
I have been searching but couldnt find any store that sells them, is there any way to re-purchase these earphones ?
I have seen few somewhat similar models but I want this specific model if its possible.
If there is no way to obtain those, then what specs should I look for incase Im going to buy ones that resemble my old earphones ?
Some Repair shop. Or mobile shop/service where they do sell the headphones
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Or eBay amazon etc
You might get Skullcandy Earphones somewhere going at a good price. They sound just about the same and have those nice rounded ear pieces.
But you can find the stock ones in your carriers outlet or in a mobile phone accessories shop
Powered by CyanogenMod™9!
Sony mobiles website has an accessories page with compatible headphones and better headphones for the xplay

Or just visit some "retail" shop of Sony or Sony certificated repair service.

Well sony mobile doesnt seem to have any stores here where I live and the place where I bought Xplay doesnt sell it anymore !
I found model named "Sony MH410c" but it apears to have those "bad" ear pieces. "MH750" looks similar but how does it compare ?
Seeing how its featured with newer Xperia phone models new question rises. I remember reading that Sony was going to change their 3.5mm standard (I heard there is 2 different "mainstream" standards), is this model "new" and would it work on xperia play (properly) ? I had some "touch problems" with these earphone + laptop compatibility, I always had to use my nail to raise the jack just slightly, this helped with balance and sound playing properly.
"MH650" look identical to those stock earphones, can someone confirm that they are ?
Im still having a hard time to find any retailer selling them :silly: uhh and Sony must be really retarded... I downloaded PDF file (documents) choosing my nation and language (finland), in return, I get a PDF written in swedish derp
Though file has "FI" in its name while swedish document has "SVE" even though they are identical.
So if there is any similar but relativly new options that are compatible with Xplay, then bring em up. I check some of already mentioned options.
What country are you from? You can have an shop like Best Buy but its eshop.

The MH650 are the stock earphones i got with my play.
You should get some Sennheiser earphones. I've got the CX400-II much better than stock.

If they arent atleast as long as stock ones and/or dont provide song pausing/skipping then Im not too interested I already have BIG sennheiser boomers and smaller ones (but they broke) and Sony's medium sized earphones. Xplays stock earplugs were perfect for me and fit in my pocket.
But case closed, I found nice retailer selling MH650's, I came here to drop sum tanks :silly:
Yours came with headphones?? Mine came with an adapter. That's it.

So help him out.Your post is even more pointless. Clue of my post is that :"system is broken no resolvable until update" The only thing I can tell is that some guy who has htc 10 as well reported connectivity issues on LG. Without root which is pointless(unless you do not take care about warranty) you can do nothing. Edit: To original poster protip Use your headphone jack which for some people is not so easy accessible.
I experienced this too on my tronsmart bluetooth speaker
