Power Control Toggle in Notification Bar - Xperia Arc General

Is there a way to have something like this on the Arc?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9885714

It is possible, *sort of*.
Widgetoid 2.x does exactly this (and lots more), but unfortunately due to a restriction in andoid you cannot directly toggle settings from the notification bar, so it opens up a popup instead.
To do it directly we will have to wait for a custom rom, e.g. cyanogen, with it included.

Is this what your looking for?

It will be great if a dev can port the power control widgets to the arc..
instead of installing apps which just create link to a popup on the notification screen, I want the ability to toggle from the notification screen directly.

Question about Toggles in Notification Bar!

Hi!
I had taboonay rom before I switched to the new flexreaper, and I used the toggles that appeared above the notification bar for wifi, brightness, sound, rotation etc, just by tapping on the notfication bar (not a widget). How can I have this feature enabled in flexreaper rom? Is it an extra apk or something, or I can use it only in taboonay rom?
Thanx a lot in advance:good:
I think if you tap on the notification bar then the settings icon(top right of that pop up) you will get the toggles you are looking for..

Click to collapse
Thanx, but the other has 8 icon and they are like buttons... so it is easier to use than entering settings
I'm running jelly bean and found this app to replace some of the add ons I missed for notificaiton toggles. IT rocks because the power button option has 'recovery' and bootloder options.
You can also make any app a toggle.

[Q] Is there any way to have screen hotspots to show/hide the navigation bar?

Would this require a rom customization or just an app with root privs?
Thanks
yup, but
Try paranoid ROM. It allows to hide nav/status bar from holding power button to select.
Also, many ROMs are built with tablet ui, this essentially combines the status bat into the nav bar
Paranoid allows switching between and customizingall these options. See my sig pic for more details

[Q] quick settings

i just installed quick settings.its great but one thing is missing.the "3G"toggle to turn it on or off.is it possible to set it?
is there another application like "quick settings" that includes "3g" toogle ?
anyone?
you can have notification toggles in your notification bar or you can have a widget on your homescreen that acts like a button. If you really want a toggle in your quick settings then you can find various roms that will have that feature as well as let you add other toggles and even change the order along with other things.

app request: disable notification panel

I can't believe a developer hasn't created this yet.
I love the desktop lock feature of adw launcher. But my 4 year old will still accidentally pull down the notification panel and change settings.
So there has to be a way to add an in-memory app that prevents the panel from being pulled down.
I still want to be able to see the status bar, but just not be able to pull down the panel.
I know it's possible because I have widgetlocker and it prevents it from the lock screen.
Please put your development skills to the test!
I am stock; not rooted; and have both ICS Droid 4g, and GB Incredible 2.
Try GMD Gesture Control. With a gesture or on an app-active basis you can hide the notification bar, which in this case prevents the drawer from being opened. You still get an auditory notification, and if you're near another gadget, there are ways to get notified via browser, a backup phone, tablet, and in not too long, TVs & watches, too.
So glad to *not* hear "you" sent your boss a "drunken" nonsense text! It was the coloring apps combined with the incomparable, phone-endangering frustration (not mine) that got me to spend the $5.
adw launcher can already hide the status bar, thus locking the notification panel. But I want an app that let's me see the status bar but locks the panel (just like widgetlocker lockscreen does).
Any dev out there that can make this for me?

Clean up your status bar without root

HTC disabled the built in System UI Tuner on their devices so it's a little more difficult to hide icons from the status bar.

Install this app and you can get back all the functionality that HTC disabled. Most of it is very self explanatory, however, there is a little trick that is HTC specific.
On HTC you can actually hide the boomsound icon from the status bar. If you use the app and go to Miscellaneous, you can toggle on Power Notification Controls. Start some music to get the boomsound notification up then slide right and tap the settings icon. Turn down the importance to level 1 and you will still get the notification but without the icon in the status bar.
Great find. Thanks.

Great post Bud, appreciate it. Works very well.
Can't you just run Viper ROM to achieve these customizations?
