[Q] More than 2 touch points? - HD2 General

Hi guys!
First of all, thanks for your great job with this fantastic phone.
Here's my question: Currently there is a way to run more than 2 touch points? If no, there is a chance to make it works in the future, or is Hardware-Limited? I read somewhere, that the hardware support more than 2 points...
Now i'm using this rom with MALDGR 1.13.
Thanks in advance.

The HD2 only supports dual-touch like the HTC Desire. Not true multi-touch really.

[Q] How many simultaneous touches?

According to specification Vega has projective capacitive multitouch panel. So the question is: how many simultaneous touches does the device support? Is it a real multitouch panel or just dualtouch?
I've testet this with a multitouch test app and it only recognize 2 points. If there are more then two fingers on the screen it doesn't respont to any movement.

Anyway to improve HD2 camera?

hi guys anyway to improve the camera of our beloved HD2? maybe a tweak or mod?
photo processing apps are options we can use but if the raw image is as bad as what we get from HD2 then it wouldn't help at all
any thoughts?

I think the default camera of hd2, the one came with windows 6.5 was the best cam..if a dev could embed it in an android rom, that would be the greatest

SwiftKey is the way to go atm, it is slick, smart and pretty much da bomb with predictions.
If you want cool looking bot for fast typing and serious writing keyboard go with Slide It

If you a laid back typer like me touchpal is an excellent option. I'm not a fan o QWERTY in portrait mode think that's the reason I stay from swift

I use TouchPal. Disable TouchPal curve and then you have swipe down symbols which is a stroke of genius.

I've been using Swype for the last two years, works like a charm!
I'm trying out the SwiftKey Flow Beta right now, seems even more intuitive, although there's a few tidbits I prefer in Swype.
I guess it all comes down to whether you prefer actual typing or swyping though.
I like Kii Keyboard. Much more settings. Support Swipe method input.
use voice engine
the best thiing is using skyvee app:laugh:
Swype
Swype is my favorite. I've tried several gesture keyboards and I find that swype cares the least about how I swype. I also love the "ctrl+c" and "ctrl+v" ability.
At this moment i think that Swiftkey Keyboard is the best choice.
For me the best of all is the swype.
If you're bilingual like me, check out Swype, fast switching with one touch, but don't install versions 1.4, they tend to be sluggish, 3.26.92.39062 is the way to go
As for swift key, doesn't really work well with two languages.

I am using swift with 3langs, German, Turkish and English and it is working well, I am using the same layout for all and have not to switch between the languages.

Multitouch change

I wanna make my hd2 recognize 3-4 fingers.how to do this?
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda premium
HD2 is a 2009 model that does not support multi touch function.
get those newer models that can even have 5 point touch functions
5? I'm reasonably sure it goes up to 20, although you'd never use that many.
Hello GRG13,
the prime version of Nova Launcher supports multi touch features. Ah, I just saw but only up to 2 fingers.
Best regards

Software isn't the problem, it's the hardware. Arguably the decision to have this hardware was based on the WinMo software which didn't use/support multitouch (not sure about that but I'm just guessing here) and HTC chose that they didn't need a particularly good screen.

Only way would be to make a "similar" launcher by yourself using Nova/GO/APEX etc etc and just tweak it. You can't/won't be able to use any HTC .apk's on your Note due to framework incompatibilities.
HTC sense is perfect system, but I cannot understand, why we cannot use it on our devices, because I think, that it can be ported. But may be I'm completely wrong as only htc kernels sources are available.
