[HOWTO] Install Honeycomb Music Application On Froyo - Optimus One, P500, V Themes and Apps

First of all this is my first HowTo so please bear with me and my language
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about installing this app! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
I was trying to install Honeycomb music application on my lg p500 but simply installing the apk was not doing the job for p500 user
so i just searched a lot for installing this application on my rooted optimus one i found the procedure and i have just shortened it.
I was running this app on void echo but i should also run on other roms
but first have a look that how does this app look alike

Instruction of installing
Edit: before you continue, please backup the orignal Music.apk from /system/app in case the methods fails for you
edit : before you try steps below just give a try installing music.apk like any other apk. If installer gives u a error "application not installed" then follow these steps given below
a.) adb method (recommended)
1) First of all copy these 2 file in root of your sd card (click to download)
Music.apk
libjumper.so
2) turn on usb debugging in phone
3) now open adb shell and use these commands
Code:
adb shell
su
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# cd sdcard
# cp Music.apk /system/app
# cp libjumper.so /system/lib
# reboot
(alternatively you can also write the above core in terminal emulator )
4 now the phone will reboot and you should have your music player replaced
if you did'nt find any changes or found music app missing repeat the above steps and reboot phone one more time
b.) directly through file manager(does'nt worked for me but you can try)
1) First of all copy these 2 file in root of your sd card (click to download)
Music.apk
libjumper.so
2) now open any rooted file explorer such as su file manager or root explorer
3) now copy libjumper.so and paste it in your system/lib folder (if you are not able to copy then pz check to mount the folder as r/w
4) now copy Music.apk to system/app folder ( it will replace the original app )
5) restart your phone
hope you liked the tutorial and i cannot guarantee it working on your phone though it work on every phone if steps followed correctly.

when i do it with adb. I get always a error message no such file/ or directory, but the two files are in the root folder of my sd card. Can you help me out?

Pushing files via adb (No need anymore )
1-Download Android SDK from here .
2-Extract it and copy it's files and folders(which are add-ons, platforms..) into 'c:/adb' folder you can create. Run Setup and install Android SDK.
3-Download FigureTheme and copy(or drag and drop) all apk's into 'c:/adb/tools' (without any folder)
4-Open cmd(start menu, write cmd for search) and copy/paste lines which I give you with release (write at Changelog)
5-When it's done, press enter for reboot. You're ready
Status bar not my cup of tea but i still like the whole idea.

I don't know how to do that completely. I'm signing apk files and zip file but it fails because of signature.
But pushing file with adb is very easy too. If you have Android SDK copy it's folders(which are add-ons, platforms, samples...) into ''c:/adb''. Open your phone into recovery, mount system and plug USB. Copy files you downloaded into adb/tools. Open cmd and write these and press enter respectively.
cd c:/adb/tools
adb devices
adb push aaaaaa.aaa /bbbbb/cccc
adb reboot
Example for line 3: adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
That's all
v0.2.3 is released.

Really good idea. I have some suggestions:
1. Kindly put this instruction in your first post so that users know what & how to install it. Give more detail instrucitons if possible.
2. Do I have to push all .apk file in this RAR file one by one? After each push needs reboot or push all of them once, then reboot?
Keep up your good work!!!

Yes, you do. You need to reboot once after push all files. To make it easier for you I've just write them. Download rar file and drag and drop apk's into adb/tools. And copy/paste that below(all of it) when it's done press enter to rebbot
cd c:/adb/tools
adb devices
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb push browser.apk /system/app
adb push AccountAndSyncSettings.apk /system/app

adb reboot

[Boot Animation]Android Gone Wild

Disclaimer:I am not responsible if you break, brick, hump, throw against wall or any other action you do to your phone. By using this bootanimation you agree anything that happens is your own noobtastic fault. Any attempts at blaming me for anything other than this being fantastic will result in you being pointed and laughed at.
If you are using BACKSIDE/IHO or have already installed the script dont I REPEAT DONT run the script again. Doing so makes multiple instances of the commands and will stop the bootsound from playing. If you run the script more than once you will have to delete somethings to get it to work. SO be warned DO NOT RUN THE SCRIPT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY OR ARE USING BACKSIDEIHO ROM
Ran across this the other day and wanted to have a bootanimation of it. Its simple yet funny/interesting. I didnt create the images I merely resized them some and packaged them up as a bootanimtion. All credit goes to the original creator of the images JaiThemes.
Preview at the bottom it flashes REALLY fast. However the actual bootanimation is a LOT slower.
Unzip the file then follow the instructions below.
Root Explorer method:
1. Rename your bootanimation to bootanimation (if not already named this)
2. Put it on your SD card
3. Open Root Explorer and copy bootanimation.zip to /system/media. This will replace the existing boot animation
4. Reboot your phone
ADB method:
1. Make sure you have downloaded android sdk
2. Put android sdk in C:\
3. Set the directory of command prompt to C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools. Click here for a video tutorial.
4. Rename your boot animation to bootanimation and put it in C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools
5. Open cmd
6. Type in order:
-adb remount
-adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
-adb reboot
Click to collapse
You can also preview your bootanimation before rebooting.
In adb type adb shell bootanimation.
To add the sound.
If you are running BACKSIDE or have already installed the script all you have to do is using root explorer copy the file "android_audio.mp3" from the zip you downloaded to /system/media.
Then reboot and you should have awesome bootsound.
If you have never run the script and are not using BACKSIDE then follow the instructions below.

If for some ungodly reason you ignored the above warning and installed the script again..read below.
Here is how to fix it.
Make sure you are mounting in r/w mode on each of these steps.
Using a app like root explorer, goto /system/bin and delete the file bootsound.
Back out to /system now open build.prop in text editor mode, look for this text.
Code:
ro.config.play.bootsound=1
Delete it from the build.prop and save and exit.
This is optional but recommened.
Reboot phone.
Verify no sound is playing.
Now run the script again and reboot.
You should have a boot sound again.

Hey PFittech,
i can confirm its working for the Netherlands. Every time i use nav program gps locks within 60sec, even after phone reboot. THNX!!, again another annoying thing got rid off.
I also got an error on installing from sdcard, so had to put the files manually at the right place. After this i had to reboot 2 times for changes to take effect.
Cheers and again THNX.
Does this work on CyanogenMod 7 ?
Poland.zip installetion aborted too

We usually use:
Code:
run_program("system/xbin/busybox" "mount" "/system")
for mounting /system .
And:
Code:
run_program("system/xbin/busybox" "unmount" "/system")
for unmounting /system .
This is also applied to /cache , /data , /sdcard and /sd-ext too !
work fast... thanks =)
For Brazil, it says Installation Aborted, but even replacing using the root explorer and setting up the permissions, my GPS still not locking up. It was working fine with the stock rom.
His update-binary must be problematic .
All files abort with status 0 .
Forever living in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
for those who get this - Installation aborted. Your kernel does not support my script - amateur said. I'm sorry but I will not fix every file again. The second option is to Install here: @ nims11
Extract your zip file then there is two folder
go in system folder there is one folder anothrr two second bin and etc
Copy the file inside bin folder to your phone system / bin / and change permission to rwxr-xr-x
file and folder inside etc copy to your phone system / etc / and change permission to rw-rr
then reboot
my script works on Galaxy s1,s2 without problem . For Ace use instalatlion via root explorer. I wanted deleted this thread for ACE but someone wrote that it works via ROOT EXPLOLER.

Ok, i read and this is awesome! Especially for those with 16+GB SD.
Now... has anyone successfully installed it?
Installed & it works great! I now have 3GB "internal" space from /sdext. The true /data is mounted as /sdext & the ext4 partition on my sdcard is mounted as /data
Downloading, will test it
edit // I install it and fix permission, have error wit connecto to network, so reboot again into cwm and fix permission but it won't work
is it possible to use it with stock kernel. Cant flash doomlords kernel... can only boot up with it.

Finally, i got my 32GB microSD and installed Amarullz's app2SD.
Works like advertised
Later edit: Can this tweak increase my microSD's write/read speeds?
Cuz my ADATA class 4 32GB has the following results: http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/1396/sonyericssonr800i201202.png
Ok, this is working just nice, but i have to keep fixing permissions for every reboot, in order to have GSM network signal.
Does this work on the fxp cm7.2 kernel?

I just wiped and reflashed tweaks rom version 5.
updated to doom kernal 11, installed wifi zip.
booted phone, set up wifi, and apn.
follwed this step,
Code:
C:\>adb push 40ad2sdx /system/etc/init.d/
C:\>adb shell
# cd /system/etc/init.d
# chmod 755 40ad2sdx
# cd /
# umount /system
# exit
Rebooted phone 2 times, fixed permissions a few times but still almost every app force closes.
Can someone who has this working write up a full step by step guide and what order to to all the steps?
Thanks

Sorry for noob question.
But could someone please explain how to fix permissions in CWM?
When i try fix_permissions in ADB Shell, i always get "/sbin/sh: fix_permissions: not found". Is my Phone missing a file or is my shell missing a file? How to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

It doesn't work as expected. Speech recognition and responses are very cool, but the app gets stuck almost every time after the first response. :-(

To Fix EDIT MOD :
To fix the network error, edit two lines in the build.prop to add GT-I9300
The 2 lines should look like the following:
ro.product.device=GT-I9300
ro.product.model=GT-I9300

I got it installed, placed in the system/app folder. Changed the build.prop files. I still get a DC after asking it to call someone.
Any ideas or thoughts on getting it to stop fc-ing? Also I find this weird, I had 45% power before hand. Now I'm at 17%. Check out the drop in my screenshoot.

To get the S-Voice to work..
1A. You need ICS, if your on GB, ttyl
1B. You NEED rooted device
1C. Do NOT directly install like a regular APK
2A. Open the apk file on your PC with WinZip / 7Zip
2B. Extract "libsvoxtts.so" from \lib\armeabi\
2C. Transfer both these files to your ICS device or you can push via adb
3A. Copy the voicetalk.apk (i tested with this name) to /system/app
3B. If there no space, remove some apks not required pref by Titanium Backup
3C. Copy the voicetalk.apk with say ES Explorer or via ADB PUSH
3D. Change permission of voicetalk.apk to rw,r,r
3E. Press and hold >> Properties >> Change (ES Explorer)
3F. Copy the libsvoxtts.so to /system/lib (do check this is required or not)
4A. Edit build.prop (with build.prop Editor or manually)
4B. Edit property ro.product.device with value GT-I9300
4C. Edit property ro.product.model with value GT-I9300
5A. Restart Phone
5B. Start S Voice from launcher
5C. I saw during setup trying to change Hi Galaxy to your own command crashed the app.
