[Q] Market Update - XPERIA X8 General

Hello!
Previously (on stock 2.1.1.A.0.6 russian ROM) my market updated by itself to the 2.3 version when I downloaded something from it (2.2 is the green one, 2.3 - same but with smaller font in descriptions etc.). I've destroyed my stock rom today and installed new and fresh ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=941458
But now my market didn't updated automatically for 5 hours (still looks like as the old one) even when I downloaded all the apps I wanted.
Is there a way to force-update it?

Sent from my E15i using XDA App

So what did you do to prevent the update?
edit: OK solved - found 2.3.2 .apk for HVGA devices, works on x8 perfectly.

WolframAlpha disappeared from market

Hallo
I bought the official WolframAlpha App about 3 weeks ago and yesterday after I installed Oxygen 2.0 final (was using RC before) it's not available anymore.
If I scan the code from appbrain it just tells me that the elment couldn't be found.
Is it rom related? As far as I see it's the only app I always used which is gone.
I'm guessing rom related, since it shows up for me (CM7, latest nightly).
Bought it today with CM7 from Germany - so it seems to be not a general problem.
Installed Oxygen 2.0 also... and can admit that it's missing in my market also.
So might really be rom-related.

identify my rom % advise

ok i rooted my streak so i can do some screen grabs, below:
i have a red streak from dell with stock 2.2
people talk about 345 and stuff what do i have and what is considered the upgrade rom, like for example android v 2.2.2
i have swype official on my current rom and would really like to kepe it, is it on all the roms for froyo for streak? if not advise which ones have it and dont please
also, before this streak i had a O2 official android 2.1, and it had a prettey top bar / status bar can i have this back somehow and or is it included on the newer roms
p.s. i tried the system update button in about and it says theres nothing
p.s.s does anyone know why shootme screen grabber has a pink tinge lol, everything pinkish is whiteish or greyish in real life
thanks in advance guys, im so nooby soz....
ok major edit i forgot to add the screen grabs , ahahah doh !
shoot me is a known issue, its hardware related, Thank Dell!, the 2.1 status bar with the little app drawer is nice, but hasnt been ported to 2.2, may depend on your carrier, for system updates, 345 is one of the latest stock builds. you can always manually upgrade/flash a 2.2.2 build.
streakdroid gives you the option to keep your stock swype, other stock roms i would imagine they have stock and not the new beta swype.
use screenshot by gik software, it works fine on the streak
318 = latest OTA version
345 = latest one that's not on their OTA server

putting the phone back to stock rom?

Hi basically all i want to do is get the atrix back to standard, originally it was on stock orange froyo uk - i then unlocked and rooted it with a french gingerbread rom , then i decided to use Version #5 Mega Orange 1.1 deBlurred: OC 4.5.2a EXT4 deBlurred with Faux's 0.1.9 Kernel, since then i cannot get the hd media dock to be detected on the phone, but the motorola sign does appear on the tv, so all in all i want to start again.
which is the simplest way?, when i run rsd lite, it apparently flashes the phone but at about 60% complete the phone boots up and nothing has changed.
cheers
Use the first home base rom or anything that isn't a deblur rom,
sent from my Atrix via XDA premium
Or flashing the bloatware zip would fix it I would assume.
Speedily sent from CM7 Beta
to be honest i just want it stock gingerbread from the french rom and standard bloatware/webtop, im fed up of messing with att/international kernels etc, is there a rooted french rom without being butchered ?

DroniX

Hi
im new to android ..
i own a ideos u8150.........and i have rooted it with z4 root
I also have managed to install clock world mod 3.0.2.4 i flashed it through pc (works perfectly)
now i want to change my stock rom ..i' heard ideos HD and droniX are good roms
i'd like to install droniX 0.6 raw ginger ..
but can anyone help me in flashing the rom i need a guide..
also how can i make full backups so i can revert to my stock rom anytime i want..
Does switching to custom roms affect baseband of my mobile ..
because of a picture i saw in a blog that says "baseband version :unknown" in mobile settings .
i have been a apple user and to jailbreak you need to preserve your basebands so is there anything like that in android
i have also read that after flashing dorinX .6 many see a black screen ..how can i prevent that..
i've also installed rom mangaer free version from market but its useless because everytime press any option it tells me to install colckworld mod and when i press install a list of phones comes up but u8150 is not in the list only 7 options.......
Thankyou
You won't get much love here as this is in the wrong forum, but here is a link to my rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375289
You dont need to use my rom, it just has flashing instructions in the first post.
*Good luck with ginger, it is still not stable, so maybe stick with 0.5.4.
*Baseband is not changed by flashing roms in CWM, only by official huawei update software, find a copy of yours before flashing if you can.
*CWM has the option to make a NAND backup under backup and restore.
*Dronix is good, Leandroidmod is ok, Ideos HD seems to be deprecated as I had bugs which I reported and have not been fixed so I switched roms. Has not had an update in months.
Here is the wiki page for u8150, have fun:

Ill be straight to the point.. most of us have been using cm9 which is ics 4.0.0 since august 2012,each week, well sometimes every two weeks, since they are missing weeks. Cm9 is a nightly, which means there are bugs and issues, since teh rom is not stable. However, most of the problems have been fix and I have had not had any real issues with it, I do use it day to day, till a new custom rom (based off a previous cm9 nightly release) comes out that I want to try. but the roms has come a long way since build 1.
If something went wrong? like you bricked your phone. There is two ways.. create a back up in cwm before you flash cm9... or you can used kdz, which is used to recovery your phone if your brick it or you want to upgrade or download your firmware.
Also please give me more info about your phone. Like what baseband you are using, what country etc.
Also there are some stock custom roms, which are modified version of stock (2.3.6). With features like 1000 GHz overclock, new launcher, file manager and other useful tweaks/mods

Upgrade to the latest firmware using the Lg firmware site. Also make sure you do a back up when you install cmw, before you flash cm9. Also you might want to download the 1GHz Kernel, even if you dont plan to overclock, it will get rid of the battery bug on start up.
