Is it possible to do honeycomb theme via metamorph or something? I know you removed it due to people's requests but I wanted to see a honeycomb look for my phone (+the flyout animations).

more free ram on startup...hdmi stability and some tweak ..

I truly hope this rom is "stable" because i've tried many... ROMs before... in all of them... my phone manages to show low memory during camera operation. In many cases... the phone freezes...
especially when i need it most... i am very certain that it WILL freeze. and it does!!
I have noticed it simply freezes ALL the time when im near the brighton beach (uk)
PLEASE HELP guys...
sick of this unreliabe phone..
everytime when its cold out side... 8c - 1 c it just freezes... once it totally runined my memory card. it happens very often when in camera mode...

i had the same low memory problem with original roms after dexter's froyo and other guys patches... everything works fines! and i've also used it with that much cold weather but nothing happened... there must be somethng wrong in your usage, device or softwares...

installation of launcher
Can't wait to try this out! sounds great but before i do....
With a previous ROM i have, im using apps2ext.
So im assuming when i installed launcher pro myself it installs on the memory card..which i think causes a bit more lag overall because the homescreen is something which definitely should not be on a memory card or so i'v heard.
Assuming i am correct... as your rom comes with ADW does that mean that homescreen will be on the phone memory even if im using apps2ext.
And if yes will you be releasing a ROM with the free version of launcher pro in the future?

Well I have a Korean Motoroi xt720 running on a UK rom 2.1. Works well as a phone with exception to rotation sensors and bottom LEDS. Have to use a UK rom as i cannot get data to work on phone using Korean roms
I was going to run Dexters 2.2 with latest bugfix.
Not that I'm comparing but I'm going to try this as for a newb its easier than adding zip files etc etc.
I'll report back, even tho my phone is not a Milestone.. Nothing to lose

Hi Khal, would you please explain briefly the main differences between this new rom and the Honeycomb? Any enhancement? (The GPS performance of Honeycomb is excellent, so I hope this feature can remain in this new rom)

main difference is this rom more responsive than honeycomb but gps not gud as honeycomb rom..
you remind me about gps dude...hopefully next build...

yes...support also but different figure on minfree tweak on Mioze7Ae's stock221v13-bugfix-2 patch.

ROM doesnt work well on a Korean MOTOROI xt720. same as 2.1 Korean rom on KOrean phone when using in UK
Wasn't expecting it too, but was worth a try. Sensors not work or LEDS and no 3G.
Just a note incase any others wish to try, saves them the trouble.
Did like the look of it tho and i'm sure Milestone users will be happy.
Anybody got a 2.2 UK or CE sbf they can send a link too ?

insert sd card
insert battery
and do as you did with first step, ( vol+ ,vol- ,power on )

After that you can install recovery.img(5.0.2.7) via pink screen
Boot into recovery
Do the wipes
And flash the latest Horse version above

yes you can follow the first post ,,, and friend , marios said that you must not use a big sd card ( 16 gb ) for downgrade ....
you better use a 2 gb sd card or less .....

still work ?
try to restart from "step 1" (repeat the downgrade procedure, I assume that you have downloaded the "downgrade pack" )
when I have tried to downgrade got some failure
fortunately the phone doesn't "bricked"
for these first attempts I've used a 16Gb MicroSD
and on the phone display there is still the message
"upgrading - please wait does not turn off"
after some minutes I've removed the battery and the phone was still able to start with "VOL+ VOL- POWER ON"
failed again
at the end I've used a 2GB MIcroSD and all is gone fine

What is better, this rom or gingerbread 540?

Now I'm the last Russian ...

Here is a custom firmware based on last S8500XELF1/S8530ANLD1 and release for S8500/S8530 only
Default CSC: your country
If it does not install your country, after flash from keyboard: *#272*HHHH# where HHHH is time show on the wave and select your country.
This time I made for both European and Asian languages, and also added csc's

many didn't ask when they did this with the froyo version, did you ask anyone if you could include this one?
While asking isn't a necessity, it's a polite gesture, and you should definitely give proper credit.
also since your using the nightly1 label it with a warning that android ICS could corrupt sdcard contents, since it was forgotten to remove external sdcard mount apparently(or recompile it with that mount removed).

RAM tweak included?
Hi, I would like to ask you if this CFW has also the free ram amount increased.
I'm currenly using the S8500LD2 modified by nexus with the new improved free RAM, almost 107mb, so I can now play games like asphalt 6 without crashing.
I found your CFW intresting but I would like to know if the above ram tweak is included first and then flash my device..

Switch off your phone totally
Pressing call + end Call Together around 5-6 seconds it will boot to android
or Pressing only End Call button it will open normal bada

C. Partition your sd-card:
Simplest way is to use "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" from http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html
This tool is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista & Windows 7
requirements: USB SD Card reader.
pull SD card from phone, insert into USB SD Card reader,you can do it with your usb cable mount Sd-crad. Windows should report new drive and content of the drive should be visible.
• step 1: delete old partitions on SD card
Note: this partition manager QUEUES the operations. So nothing is deleted and changed UNTIL you click "APPLY" and then confirm by clicking "OK".
WARNING!
Make sure you are deleting partition on SD card! (not your hard drive for example)
This step deletes everything on SD card, so backup files first!
Dont be afraid, just read everything and think twice before selecting correct drive.
Do you see three gray icons on the bottom? Under each of them the capacity of each drive is listed, and SD CARD has slightly different icon.
Hard drives on the screenshot have 465.8GB and 74.5GB, and on the bottom, the SD card, with 3.8GB capacity.
• step 2: create FAT or FAT32 partition “ note that this partition is for storing your media, etc..”
select "Create As": PRIMARY
Select "File System:" FAT when you have 2GB or smaller card.
Select "File System:" FAT32 when you have 4GB or greater card.
• step 3: select the 2nd partition and select "Create As": PRIMARY
NOTE:
Stock roms with stock kernel will support fat32
Stock roms with custom kernels “ like CF-Root” may support both fat32/ext4 “check their threads”
Cm7/cm9 roms will support ext4
Here Is a NOTE:
For a wired reason, in both cm7/cm9 roms if formatted your 2nd partition with ext4 format, link2sd wont create mount script, unless you have selected ext3 “although the format was converted to ext4”
• step 4: finish
finally, click "apply" button on top left corner.
partitions will be created and card will be formatted.
Reattach your sd card to your phone and turn it on. (you can also do it With usb Connection )
Chose your Vertion Of Beta3 , Light or Ultimate copy it to sd-card
Reboot your phone to ClockWorkMod
Flash ClockWorkMod 5:

Tips
first time boot you can't mount storage reboot and it work well
connect your phone to charger, let it fully charge and then reboot it. after reboot deep sleep should be working properly

1- install S-voice
2- go to settings , Language&imput ,voice recogniser , selsect Samsung powered by vlingo
3- go to settings , Language&imput , text-to-speech output and select Pico TTS
4- now s-voice work perfectly on your ace

issue with dta2sd and link2sd?
my experience, all latest cm9 based rom (maclaw cm9 and nims11 miui4) have issue with dta2sd and link2sd..they doesn't work
but this is cool ROM after all.. nice work..

i need a list of useless files to free up some space and also speed up our phone
i see cyanogen framework & lib & usr folders and compare it with xperia stock custom roms
this is the size of them:
cyanogen mod rom : framework=13MB & lib=45MB & usr=9.5MB
stock custom roms : framework=23MB & lib=64MB & usr=32MB
so i decided to free up some space but i need help to remove just safe files
also i think removing useless jar files from framewok folder can help to speed up our phones
can someone help?

but i think so u should post in general section

i found something about system/usr to free up it about 19-35MB
The difference is system/usr/xt9 , for me it is 23MB , cyanogen mod don't have this folder
it contains xperia keyboard dictionaries
here it is how to reduce size of it to less than 1MB and also speed up xperia keyboard and free up more ram and rom
1. if you don't need chinese input then delete the /system/app/textinput-chn.apk from the zip
2. Now lets deal with /system/usr/xt9/ delete all the dictionary files you don't need,
I use 3 languages polish, english, german so i keep only this files in the zip :
/system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-4_PLlsUN_xt9.ldb <-- PL stays for polish
/system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-15_DEusUN_xt9_2.ldb <-- DE = german
/system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-28_ENubUN_xt9_2.ldb <-- EN = english
all the other *.ldb files can be deleted

Thread moved to General. Keep in mind that some applications (walkman, radio etc.) need specific libs to work. You can delete few libs to make your ROM lighter but some apps might be borked because of that.

I suggest keeping both
I think the 810 is used by JB keyboards
And 621 by ICS keyboards
(not sure)
Btw get the new honami keyboard and u can delete the whole xt9 folder
Edit: the honami keyboard is useful for rom cooks as well, since each user is able to download their own dictionary, or just work with no dictionary, like i do, i have kept no dictionary, but every word that i use is saved, hence i still get many suggestions
Edit 2: also to free up more space u can delete all sounds from /system/media/audio/alarms,notifications,ringtones except the default ones (alarm.ogg,notification.ogg,xperia.ogg)
And also delete all wallpapers from /system/etc/customization.... Except 1 pair
*Do not delete whole folders as it may cause bootloop*
Edit 3; if u dont use face detection, and for another 30mb, u can delete /system/vendor/pittpatt
I havnt tried this tho

i didn't delete any lib , these are just details to help us know which files are from sony

well the thread for is ics but suggestion for cm10.1 user
replace the latin present in system app cm one uses a lot of storage 25 mb
