Hy all i'm so angry on android...
I bought my galaxy spica from a friend..it has cyanomod gen,ckz tool,samdroid tools.
The problem is..i can't install programs on it..
I;ve instaled games like asphat ,fifa,and othe games...i got the same result...
whe i open the game..it tell;s me to download...parts of the game to play...

can anybodi help me?
When i bought the phone...i formated the sd card..after i extracted it from my phone(the phone was still on)
What can i do?
of course you have to donload the game file after installation... if you have the gamefile on sdcard, you needn't to download again....
The first download is just the installer. The first time you run the game, it determines if you have an hd device or not, then downloads the proper game files for you.
Once its done downloading, you can play the game. This is not a problem, it is normal behavior. The games are sometimes quite large so it may take a while to download them and install.

Funnily i went there yesterday and got the roms for Mr Do.
However I cannot see the code for it anywhere now - and it is so long since I set it up previously - i could not remember the suffix I think I used to find things in the past.
Frustration is getting the better of me now as I spent a while on it last night - how do you locate and install the program code to be run on the emulator (which is already installed).
Is the Rom file a Zip file, If so just place this file in the roms folder of your Mame emulator, and when you run the Emulator you should be able to select the rom filefrom there.

The rom file was a zip file but i unzipped it and transfered the unzipped files to the phone.
It was probably about 2000 when I did it last - and I was sure you had to compile a version of the game code to run on mame.
I guess the actually code would be tiny though - as I used to do 6502 m6800 and m6809 code but just got into the habit recently of seeing massive programs - but even with that - I think the rom download was only in the 30Ks
I will try it again.
Thanks - its working - although is far too small for the screen - I would guess it is displaying it as 200x240 .
I totally forgot it was possible to play space invaders on a 6502 with 8K of memory, so bver realised the files would be in with what I had presumed to be small graphics - and it was years ago I last installed some on the PC.
So is there anything that will support 320x240?
And if so - where can I get space invaders - cosmic gorillas (or was it the other spelling) galaxian centipede - and what was the one with the trackerball and the lines coming down to destroy cities and bunkers?
Missile Command, If you are looking for some roms I have a rar file with quite a number. Although some I have noticed do not work on Pocketcult Mame. What emulator are you using. If you like I can email you some roms if you let me know what you need.

2.install adobe mobile device packer and click create new package
3. go thru thye process to create ur package in cab/sis

4. create ur package , install flash lite and the cab on ur phone
5. enjoy..hav fun and pls share ur stuff

this is cool and all but the problem im getting is that the cab file is turning out big, for example alien hominid was 800MB.
ya evn i realised that...m currently searchin for a way to compress the .swf file..that will solve the prob...ill post any progress as n when made...

well i asked the all mighty search engine (google) and i came up with this one thing called "Eltima Flash Optimizer". im DLing it right now so i wont be able to tell you if it works for this but ill be sure to edit this post as soon as i get results or not. i hope it does

I had a flash player on my phone a few weeks ago, and I was able to rip the games from popular flash game sites, but the phone just couldn't handle them. It was way too laggy to play, hopefully it was just the player I was using. If we could find a way to get flash games running at regular speed, the number of games available for this phone would be astounding.
Long time...
Is it just me, or does that packager take a really long time to make the Cab? All the times I've tried it, it just kind of sat there, giving me the Windows 7 Ring of Thinking.

i thought i had a problem at first untill i saw the end product of the huge file so it explains alot. right now all we need to do is find a swf compression program for this and that might be the key to sucess
i ve installed all the programs needed but still cant run the games.
tried goldminer and after you saw the menu an click a few times i get an error
it says error out of memory......
am i doing something wrong....

what game is it and do u think u can attach it
I have got the latest XDandroid from connect-utb.com,but I found it run sooooo slow on diamond.
It seems like that the android loaded many program on startup. They consume a lot of memory.
and it also become very slow after use for a long time.
Who can tell me how to manage the autoruns ? and how to solve the problem?
3 advices from PDA user:
-do not use bad software,
-do not buy bad devices,
-you need a phone, buy phone.
1. Download the newest kernel files, these are without debug stuff (glemsom.anapnea.net)
2. Use XDAndroid on a EXT2 partition (balsat.hopto.org)
3. Change the eclair.user.conf in your conf dir. Change cc_disksize=xx to 20.
Step three will solve your 'autostart' problem and prevent your phone from running slowly. 1 and 2 wil give you a performance boost.
can s/o help how to format internal storage of diam100 to ext2. All tutorials I found are bour SD cards only. Tried with partition manager but got error message...
Im running CM 6.1.1 and for the life of me I cannot get it to install on my G2 .
I tried installing several different .apk files , even went to amazon and did it
the long hard way . All I get is "Application Not Installed" errors . Can anyone

1. What sort of connection? If you have a poor wifi connection it may take some time to download... Also if you internal memory is full you won't be able to download anything more
2. The best for me is FroyoBread But you may argue on that
3. Never used those, but X8's hardware may simply be not enough for some high-end-device apps. For example you won't play latest asphalt on X8. There also may be an version issue. Try to find as many versions as you can and look for one that works with X8
4. How big are the apk files? Remember, no matter what you do, you won't have more than, say, 100-120 MB of internal space...

Ok, too many questions you could answer yourself by simply doing a little bit of search I'm not going to post whole tutorials here, but I'll give you reference links.

OC stands for Overclocking, you may find the module thread in the thread hub I posted. App2sd or link2sd are systems that place your apps (and in some cases data) on SD card so your internal storage remains clean and you can place more apps. An app that has over 48 MB is huge indeed and may simply have not enough space to be installed
Link2sd needs rooting. It would be simpliest to google it, and you'll need to partition your SD card for it. It's best for stock SE 2.1 ROM.
If you run any custom ROM you can find in android developement area, you gonna have app2sd by default. If you'll use your default fat32 sd card partition only, then only your apps gonna be placed on SD card. If you use ext2/3/4 partition with app2sd hack, then all your INTERNAL storage apps will go to ext partition along with data, while apps "moved to SD" will go to fat32 partition and will have data on ext. Only system apps will have both apk and data in internal storage then.
