Android Market Question, I want to sell my Apps - Vibrant General

I will be signing up to sell my apps on Thursday Mostly be making live wallpapers and such.
Googles terms has this.
Developers must be approved by a Payment Processor for a Payment Account.
Can I use google checkout to recieve payments?
And what all payment methods can you use to recieve payments from apps?

AFAIK Google Checkout is the only option, but I do not have a dev account so I can't tell you for sure.
Not sure how to answer your second question. If you mean payouts from Google, I imagine it would either come in the form of a mailed check or an electronic deposit to your bank account.

There was an option to pay via your phone bill...dunno where that went.

Check the Google discussion groups. They're a pain in the ass to use, but this is asked and answered there over and over.

About the 25$ play store credit

So my girlfriend is the one who bought the device.. and since google requires you to use some google account she used her own.. I'm going to be the one using the device though, is that credit tied to the account that bought the device?

[Q] $25 google play credit expiring?

Engadget has a horribly worded article about the $25 google play credit expiring.
The Google press release is just as unhelpful.
Based on both, I cannot tell whether that means everybody's $25 credit (or whatever is left) is expiring, or whether they will simply stop giving new buyers the credit.

I guess that's the result when you have these idiot bloggers take over journalism and PR.
I can't find the part that says your credit will expire anywhere. The offer just ends Sept 30
It just means that the offer to get the $25 when you purchase the Nexus 7 will expire after 9/30/12. After the 30th, you will no longer receive the $25 credit. Dont worry though, your $25 is safe. Hope this answered your question.

[Q] "Google Wallet account on hold." Am I in trouble?

I live in Belgium and we don't have the full play store, only apps. But I managed to buy a Nexus 4 in November through a VPN with a credit card and an American adress of a service that will ship US items to Belgium or the Netherlands.
Before that I also bought stuff like magazines, movies, music through VPN, both from UK and US play store. Never had any problems! Just used my creditcard and a random UK or US adress when I wanted to buy something from the US/UK play Store. Haven't bought a whole lot though.
But since a few days ago now when I want to buy something from whatever store Belgium/UK/US my payment can not be authorized and the orders get cancelled.
When I go to Wallet and check the the transactions it now says:
Google has cancelled your order. You won't be charged.
Reason: Other (describe below)
Comments from Google: "We have cancelled your order because your account is on hold."
My account is on hold... Buying things from foreign play stores while not living there is illegal or fraude and now it seems my account is up for review I guess. Am I in trouble? Legally? Is there something google can do?

They were charged and cancelled right after. My card works and is active.
Uh oh, just had this happen to me too. Same circumstance, VPN to access US play store outside US. Was even able to buy bumper from the play store. Today, tried buying swift key and got cancelled. Twice. Haven't gotten refunds yet.

Others had mentioned the same thing when trying to buy their phone when the credit card address did not match up to the shipping address. IIRC, one person fixed the issue quickly by changing their credit card address through that credit card company to their desired shipping address and the order went through.

Yeah, heard this as well, although for my case, both shipping and billing address are the same. I also previously received error messages, but those said payment declined, which I would assume is what would happen if the addresses don't match. But now, it says my account is on hold. I've even read people being asked to verify their accounts with passport and drivers licenses but I have not received any similar notification.

Just make a new account? I'm from Israel and I bought 2 Nexus 4 from US play store by simply making new google account with my own credit card and account details of a friend in the US which also received the items.

I think making a new account is out of the question as many would have already spent quite a bit of money on apps and other stuff on their current accounts.
Anyway, I'm also in the same boat here. Problem started early February for me. Last night, somehow I could actually purchase the Google play credit (where previously I couldn't), but somehow even with that, I could not buy any apps!

The new version of admob not pay via Paypal

Hello,
I just got an email that says "Switch to the new version of AdMob today"
With various links. This seems like the main one
https://support.google.com/admob/v2/answer/3077517?hl=it&utm_source=admobupgrade&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=admob+upgrade
Then there was also a notification in the old page admob
We launched a new version of AdMob.
With the button "Upgrade"
I clicked the button and I followed several steps to register. In practice, I believe that I signed up to this new site as if it were a separate service fortunately without affecting the old site Admob (There is a function that is used to import the old data that I have not clicked) I checked contains all the data earlier, even though I checked out the advertising in applications and is still served. In a few hours will check also if the revenues, impressions, etc. are updated.
Do you have news about this?
Is there a deadline for forced into to this new site?
It will be mandatory to switch to this new site?
Is there any of you that is in my same situation? What are your intentions? Open a bank account or switch to another company that makes payments with PayPal?
It might be useful to make a petition calling for Paypal as a payment method?
Thank you for your answers and advice
I got the same email about upgrading to the new admob.
It says you can still see info in the legacy admob, but im sure they will eventually require everyone to upgrade.
I didnt go through it yet, but it makes sense they are doing away with paypal, google is trying to use google wallet for everything, and probably has a long term plan to replace paypal.
Google sucks
I am really starting to hate google. The change everything everytime and they are going to the wrong direction. The new look of the developer console is horrible. The new google play is horrible. The older versions of them were more transparent. Their support is horrible. Oh, wait, Google has no support at all! And the list could go on... at least that's my opinion.
Keep Paypal
Please keep Paypal as payment method.

+1
new admob does not have paypal
Did you read all of the information Google told you to read before you upgraded? All of your previous payments are handled by legacy Admob. All of your earnings since you upgraded will be handled by new Admob. All of your previous earnings aren't visible in the new Admob. They seem to act as 2 separate entities.
You can access all of your previous stats at legacy Admob by signing into admob.com. The new admob is accessed through apps.admob.com.
Another important thing: after the upgrade, if you have advertising funds remaining in your AdMob account, you have to request a refund.

What about the earnings from legacy AdMob? I still have 15$ and don't know if/how/when I'll get paid.
Any clue?
In the documentation there is written that the payments will be performed using the normal method. After you have made the switch must follow the procedure as if I wanted to close the account (the old one) and you send the remaining earnings
In the old account now there is a note:
August 26, 2013: can not add funds to your advertising campaigns.
September 30, 2013: will stop the ads campaigns of the previous AdMob platform
October 15, 2013: last day when you can request a refund for the remaining balance. <----THIS ONE
The note appears headed to advertisers. Do you know if the terms also apply to the publisher or we have more time?
I don't know if publishers have more time, anyhow I think that is better to wait last payment of the first of October and switch to the new platform. :good:
Do you know how to upgrade to new admob? Is there any link to upgrade?
When I log in, I am redirected to old admob.
payment
Guys;
Really I don't understand admob payment method,
I got for one month 461$ but admob sending 394$ why so much different.... any clue?
Really am confused, why admob doing this.. why so much charging....?
how does it work with the checks? do they send them by mail and i can go to my local bank and cash-in?
Leave Admob
When the users have got so many options like inmobi, chartboost, revmob, appnext, why should one stick to admob. Also I think, admob will change its policy again as they are a leading ad network company and universally accepted one

Purchasing help

Hello all, I have a question about purchasing a nexus 6p, I googled this topic for about 30 minutes last night and couldn't find an answer so I put it to the fine folks of XDA in search of an answer:
I want to split my payment for my N6P over two sources. One of the two is a "rewards debit card" that gets loaded with money when I hit certain incentives at work and I'd be able to cover half the cost of the phone with the amount of rewards Ive earned. Sadly, I can't add money to it or pull money out of it. So since I'm confident that I can't split tender on googles website, and I don't have enough rewards to put it all on the reward card, my next step was Google wallet/google play. I'm confident I read somewhere that one can't use Google play credit to buy devices, but my searching hasn't found a definite confirmation of that. At the checkout screen for the phone there was an option that said "Google play balance: $x.xx" but it was greyed out due to insufficient funds, not the fact that was an invalid payment type. So I'm hoping I'm wrong about not being able to use GP credit but am unwilling to test this theory by buying a bunch of Google play gift cards, loading them to my account and then not being able to spend them.
Would anyone be able to give me a hand on this one? Last night 64gb aluminum a were in stock and I was unable to pull the trigger due to the confusion and I'd hate to miss another chance at them.
Google Play balances CANNOT be used to purchase devices. It's in the T&C on the website and on the physical Play Store gift cards in stores.
You might need to purchase a reloadable debit Visa/Masterdcard, and load funds to it from your two sources, then use the one card to make your purchase. But I leave that scenario for those who have experience in this. I just wanted to tell you about the Play Store balance before you wasted any money on it (they dont give refunds on Play Store balances)
