[Q] Bluetooth Phonebook Sync Prob? - EVO Shift 4G General

Is anyone else having any problems with the phonebook sync via bluetooth? When syncing with my Pioneer Avic, all of the contacts are coming across in the format (Last, First). With my Sprint Hero (And Blackberry Curve before that) they would come across (First Last). Is there any way to fix this?

MDA Way to transfer entire phone book via bluetooth?

Hi all,
I just got a DEH-P9800BT bluetooth cd player, but I can only figure out a way to send each phone number one at a time. Is there a way to send my entire phone book to the unit at once?
My Parrot carkit syncs automatically transferring all contacts.
Works out of the box.
I guess the audio system you mention should be configured to do that as well (maybe it just cant)

Bluetooth Problems

I'm curious to know if anybody else is having a similar problem.
It would seem the Fascinate has a broken PBAP bluetooth profile. I have an Audi with 3G MMI. With every other phone I have had, when paired the phone book would show in the car (names, etc). With the Fascinate, the MMI will show there are phone book entries, but cannot see names and numbers. The interesting part is if I place the call from the phone, the phonebook information does show. After a little searching, I turned up this thread ( hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=772040 ).
Bluetooth Errors with Headset and Sync
I have had similar issues with the BlueTooth keeping a connection with my bluetooth headset (BT 130) and MS Sync in my Ford. Seems that I have to turn off bluetooth multiple times to get connection. Worst part is that it often shows as connected on the phone, but not on the headsets/sync
A few of the "known bugs" that were leaked were related to car kit operation / sync.
Can't post links yet but search Boy Genius for Fascinate known bugs.

[Q] send multiple contacts to pioneer car radio via bluetooth

Hi,
I have a HTC HD2 and a car audio system Pioneer DEH-P70BT. With my old HTC TYTN WM6.1 I was able to send multiple contacts to the phonebook of the car audio via bluetooth.
Now with my new HD2 I was not yet able to send one contact to my radio so that I see the name and all phone numbers of this contact. I already tried different ways and software.
The HD2 and the Pioneer are succesfully paired and I set Bluetooth to the visible mode.
My old software I used http://www.pocketkai.net/asp/en/details.aspx?387 (IR+BT Manger) seems not to work anymore. So actually I'm not able to send any contact to my car system.
Does somebody have an idea or mybe a solution ?
Cheers Wolle

Contacts not syncing via bluetooth to car

The contacts on this phone don't sync with my vehicle. On previous phones, even recent previous Android phones (G2 and Vibrant), the contacts would sync on my phone, and I could select the contact from the screen in the car, or use the car's voice dialing, and it would call the person using the phone.
Handfree audio works, as I can use the phone to initiate or receive a call, and it comes through the car's speakers, but the contact sync is not working. I have a BMW, and a quick Google search shows that many others have this issue as well.
Anyone have an idea of a solution? Some talked about HTC not loading all of the Bluetooth features on this phone.

[Q] Car Bluetooth Connectivity

Hi all,
I have had a Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 for a couple of months and have had issues with the Bluetooth not connecting to my car's internal bluetooth system. On my old phone I could access my contacts. answer and dial calls through my car, now the car and phone do pair but I cannot access my contacts nor can I receive or make calls.
I am using android 2.1 and have tried a bluetooth "fix" application which also did not work. From other threads and forums online this seems to be a regular problem with the xperias and I was wondering if you guys know how to fix this.
Cheers
can anyone help..?
up!
I have the same problem with X8 and my 2002 bmw
With the old k800i no problem to pass phonebook and sms.
Can anyone help us? Is it a software or hardware problem?
