[Q] Problems with USB-Driver - Blade General

Hey guys!
I recently tried to flash a custom ROM (2.2) on my San Francisco. I followed the guide on a website called "orangesanfrancisco" to install the usb-driver. (I am not allowed to post the link, but its the name of the page followed by co.uk) Unfortunately, i got stuck at step 15. When I turn on my San Fran holding the Vol-Up button pressed, the green little Android guy is there, but there isn't starting a Wizard on my PC (Win7, 64bit). I can see the hardware called "Android" in my Device-Manager, but can't install it with the downloaded drivers, when I click "update drivers" ...
What could be my problem?
Without this I can't start the flashing progress. Would be nice if you help me!
Thank you,
tobygreen

You can find the guide on the page I wrote. On the left hand side, there's a link called "How to install the USB drivers"
thx

i9000 problem

First of all i'm really sorry if this has been placed in the wrong forum , there was so many here I really didn't know what was right.
I'm not very tech-minded when it comes to phones , so i'll explain it as simply as I know it.
Basically , I purchased an i9000 Galaxy , I was told it had been "hacked" and was able to run 3rd party applications or something.
Now , the phone battery ran out , and it will now not charge from a power outlet , nor from the PC. All that is visible is a phone > Pc icon.
After much research , i've come to the understanding that it's "bricked".
I really have no idea what this means , however i've read you need to reflash it or re-download some form of software . But , I am now able to get any of the button combinations to work.
Can anybody provide a simple step by step guide in the simplest terms as to what i'm to do to fix it. I would be unable to send it back to Samsung , as I dont have the receipt. Are phone shops able to repair this?
Sorry once again for this being my only post , and it possibly being in the wrong place. But any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
My phone was giving me the phone>pc screen yesterday after a failed update through Kies. I had to download Odin and load a stock ROM. Then let Kies run the update again. The instructions for loading a stock ROM are in this forum.
Hi Enc , Thanks for the reply!
Could you please link me to these instructions as I really don't know what i'm looking for! I'll then try to make some of it out haha!
So is my phone definetly easily repairable?

First of all you need to be able to access download mode. It is usually accessed by holding Power + Home + Volume Down. You should see a yellow android dude with a shovel. If that works then you're good to go. Usually you would need to flash a new bunch of firmware onto the device however if you just got that screen spontaneously then you might be able to fix it by doing the following:
1. Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 distributables, download them here.
2. Download Heimdall Suite from here.
3. Extract Heimdall to your desktop.
4. Follow the README to install the drivers.
5. Open Command Prompt. If you don't know how to do that the simplest way is probably. Ctrl + Alt + Delete -> Start Task Manager. Then select the "Applications" tab and press the "New Task" button down the bottom right. Type "command" in text box then press Enter.
6. In Command Prompt change directory to your desktop. To do this type:
cd C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\Desktop
Click to collapse
7. Make sure your device is in download mode.
8. Type:
heimdall close-pc-screen
Click to collapse
If that doesn't solve the problem then you will need to download some firmware then follow the instructions in the README to flash the firmware to your phone.
NOTE: The method described above will definitely keep all your data, flashing firmware may not.
EDIT: I've assumed you're running Windows Vista, Windows 7 or similar. If you're running XP then the instructions are the same except you'll want to cd to "C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME\Desktop" instead.
EDIT: 2: If you're running OS X or Linux then Heimdall runs on those platforms as well, the steps are slightly different however.
Hi , I managed to get the Power+Volume down+menu button combination to work , it flashed on and off a few times and now I have a screen saying "downloading , do not turn off target" , what does this mean and what are the steps for me to now fix it?
You're in download mode.
This is used for flashing software.
If you've done what Benjamin said, just connect it to the computer using the USB cable.
And after that do the command prompt thing.
Phone is now on , however im experiencing a notice every minute or so "com.android has stopped working unexpectidely , please try again" . What is this ?

Yellow trinagle is located in device manager!(just look at other thread)
You can get non-gui version in Bin4ry thread "X10 Flash Tool...and so on"
You need to open x10flash.bat in non-gui folder.(not gui)

Im still stuck on step 1. The yellow mark still wont disappear no matter what I have tried to reinstall/update the driver.
I have let the wizard to search the internet for correct driver, and I have point it to specific folder with the driver in it, I have tried several versions of the driver that I can find on the net.
I keep getting "the hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software" error.
I can use Flash Tool GUI to root my X8 and to install XRecovery. Those were done successfully. And we are talking same session same day here. Just straight after I rooted the phone and installed Xrecovery, did a backup, then I wanted to flash to 2.1 but then this happened.
Only when the phone is connected to the PC in flash mode.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Forgot to mention: the driver I'm talking about is SEMC signed driver. That is the driver for flashing right? Or have I totally missed this point all together?
I got it working now. It was not SEMC driver that's needed. It should be the gordon's gate driver. For some reason that driver went missing. I have installed SEUS and managed to flash my phone yesterday using SEUS. So definitely it was installed, but disappeared today or sometime after I used SEUS last.

How To Flash a Demo LG Quantum?

Heya!
I bought a demo LG Quantum for a song today and I've been trying to remove the Demo software by following these instructions:
Through work aquired a Mozart with Telstra Demo(Store) Rom. Very furstrating as it wouldnt hold settings and kept playing that damn video.....
Downloaded this rom (following the links from here and trying a few download mirrors until I found one that worked)
Turned off Phone
Held Volume Down Key while Pressing Power Button (This turns the phone on and launched Bootloader)
Connected to PC Waited about 5 minutes while Windows auto detected the drivers and installed what it needed
Right Mouse clicked on the downloaded Rom and selected "Run as Administrator"
Followed the prompts.
****NOTE**** When it got to 10% the phone rebooted - LET IT!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH IT DO NOT DISCONNECT IT - Just wait -The computer will redetect and about 10 Min later VIOLA - All sorted nice and clean WP7 HTC Mozart (with a with Telstra One Hub - which aint that bad) - Whacked the 3 Sim card in - Downloaded Connection Setup Wizard from market place and a few minutes later was sending and receiving MMS etc

However, I don't know if this applies to the LG Quantum since I can't seem to access the Bootloader screen and the ROM I can't find an executable ROM file like the one he refers to.
Has anyone resolved this problem on their Quantum?
Could you help me through it?
Thanks in advance,
-Aylmer
Nevermind! I was trying to flash it, but, in the LGDP2 Flashing app, I was plugging in the phone before pressing start!
Oups!
If you're still having problems, the other trick is to use the drivers from the LG Mobile Support Tool.
I got mine from eBay for $100...it is a Demo unit. This thread is very helpful and hope to remove the "Device Alive" software and enjoy my nifty windows phone!
As an avid Android and iOS user I look forward to having fun with WP7

ok managed to download the LG c900 ROM but installing the LGDP2 gives me the Installshield error , Catastrophic Error. And my LG USB Modem doesn't wanna install
Could you give more detail about the problem?
Also, which version of Windows are you using?

Something Went Wrong w/ Rooting - Please Help!

I seem to be having a little problem here. I've been wanting to root an android device and after reading about how simple and fail proof the TF rooting experience is I decided to take the plunge.
I found a tutorial on another site (I'm not able to post the link because of forum rules) and decided to proceed. I followed the instructions to the letter and got confirmation that the “phone update was successful” but after rebooting the TF is stuck on the “Eee Pad” screen. I’ve tried rebooting into APX mode but the computer doesn’t find the device.
I’ve looked elsewhere regarding how to unbrick the device but every solution that I see requires booting into APX. Please help!
Edit: I'm sure that it's important that you know what exactly I did. The site that I got the tutorial was eeepadhacks dot net. I'm almost positive it's using the Nvflash method.
Posted this in the middle of the night and it's almost off the first page. Bumping it for an answer...hopefully.
You are in the wrong section. Look in the Android Development section. The first topic there is about unbricking your device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123429
Not too experienced with the TF, but had the same bootloop type problem on Android phones straight after rooting.
Can you still get into recovery (power off, then hold the power button + volume down until the message shows up, then press volume up)? Try this if you haven't already. If you can get into the recovery you've installed (clockworkmod), you'll be able to flash a new ROM such as Prime and it should be working. If it's the same problem I've run into then it's not bricked, it's just somehow screwed up the original ROM during the rooting process.
Try to get into recovery and let me know. If it doesn't work, then hopefully someone else can help but I wouldn't worry much. It should be relatively easy to fix.
I had the same problem and posted about it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181795
What happened to me was that I forgot to unzip the boot.img file from 84411.zip and copy it into the "root" folder in tf_rootkit_31, which I downloaded from the rooting tutorial on xda. That caused the transformer not to boot up. I then held power until it turned off, then held power/vol up until the screen turned black, that means it's in APX mode. Then I ran root.bat and rebooted, works fine now!
Not sure if you missed the same step since you used another tutorial, just try starting over again from the tutorial I used here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125714
Thanks for the replies guys. I saw your thread last night Vert and that does seem to be the exact problem that I am having. The difference is that I can't get the TF to turn off.
If I hold the power button until the screen shuts off it just reboots. The only way that I can get the screen to turn off is by holding down the volume up button and the power button simultaneously but that doesn't appear to put it in APX mode. At least my computer doesn't seem to recognize it as such.
My plan is to redo it by following the link that you posted (I saw that last night too) but I don't think there's any way to do that until I can get the TF to show up on the PC. Anyone have any suggestions?
After playing with it for a couple of minutes I've noticed that when I put the TF into APX mode a new entry appears under the USB Controllers. It is called NVIDIA USB Boot - recovery driver for Mobile devices.
Hopefully that is helpful information....
Thanks again!!
Are you on windows 7? If so, open up device manager by going to start menu>right click on computer>manage>device manager. Then hold power/vol up on your transformer until the screen doesn't turn on. Device manager should then refresh. Look under Universal Serial Bus controllers and "Nvidia USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices" should show up. This means it is in APX mode. If that doesn't show up try reinstalling the drivers. From there you can run root.bat and it will boot up
Good luck
EDIT:Looks like you got it while I was typing lol
Thanks for your help guys!!
I'm back up and running. I'm not rooted but at least my TF is back alive.
I'll try again later today using that video that you posted Vert.
Thanks to all and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
At least you got it back up and running. When you try it again, let us know how it goes. Hopefully should work smoother this time if you know where you went wrong.

Yup, got it all up and running and am happy to report that I am now sporting Prime 1.5 on my newly rooted TF. Thanks again to everyone that helped out!
I had this problem earlier, and I used nvflash to recover. I thought I was not in apx mode as well but I was. Win 7 64 did not show it but when I flashes it worked. Just try it.

The reason why you forgot may be because in the instructions it tells you to unzip the files higher in the thread before Step 1 begins.

Blu Studio C Hd s090q stuck on logo screen

Hello everyone.
I have a Blu Studio C HD s090q stuck on logo screen forever.
I have downloaded this room here http://www.mediafire.com/download/d9bdr1dbw4qk9ic/BLU_S090Q_V07_REPAIR.rar
and SP Flashtool v5.1428.00 and MTK USB drivers which I have installed and restarted computer after that.
Followed this tutorial here: http://www.blogtechtips.com/2015/03...phone-flash-tool-to-flash-any-blu-smartphone/
The thing is after I click "Download" button of SP flashtool and then connect my device (without battery as suggested on tutorial) and press vol up, nothing happens.
What should I do? Could somebody give me a little help? I have bought this phone just 3 weeks ago.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I just figured out what was wrong after many and many tries and I would like to share in case somebody have a issue like mine.
First off, I had to download and installSP Flashtool ver 5.1628 and MKT USB Drivers and I also installed MT65xx Preloader Auto-Driver.
After I installed all these, I had to manually install "MediaTek DA USB VCOM (Android)" driver to my computer, then as I had bricked my phone by replacing KingRoot for SuperSU, while following previous tutorials, instead of choosing option "Format All + Download" (which wasn't working at all in my case), I picked the option called "Firmware update". Hit Download > while pressing vol + button, plugged usb cord / cable > SP Flashtool started downloading and I released vol+ button.
That's it! If somebody have any doubt, feel free to contact me.

Hello Friend, I hope that even in these days I can respond. I have a problem with my Android ROM BLU Q S090Q / Android 6.0. I installed the ROM and everything perfect, I solved the Bricked of the phone using the MTK Droid Tools 2.5.3, the problem is that I could not rootearlo with any program (KingRoot, OneclicRoot, etc.) to be able to change the IMEI that I have it with another number and does not activate the Android's antenna. The Recovery of this Terminal is the original that brings the ROM that was installed, my question is: Will you install the TWRP you mention here and then load the SuperSU Binary 'to Rootearlo? What method can I use to robe my terminal? :silly:
I also read something on the Net about an Android ROM Nougat on BLU Studio G2 (Android 7.1.1 / CM14.1), is this true or is it a Fake?
Posd. I can not change the IMEI with the option "Engineer Mode" because in the terminal, the line inside the menu "CDS information" does not exist or is hidden, the other programs to activate it are NOT installed or blocked with an error message, I leave some captures to give you an idea.
