Benchmarks ZTE Blade - Blade General

There are many ROMs present for the ZTE Blade. Can you all please use an app called Quadrant Standard (free from the market) to find out the benchmark for your Blade and Rom. Then enter it here.
Mine is as follows:
Benchmark score: 1025 points
ROM: ZTE Blade/San Francisco Unofficial Froyo Build, Alpha 1 OLE (2.2 Froyo).
A friends:
Benchmark score: 416 points
ROM: Japanese Jellyfish RLS4 TFT/OLE (2.2 Froyo).
Another friends:
Benchmark score: 331 points
ROM: Stock Orange ROM, which came with the phone.
Of course the rule is that the build has to be stable.
Thanks

The 800-1000 benchmarks arent actually true.

very true, it can easily be fiddled and has been done so by cyanogen to prove this is not a reliable tool to use to compare against.
also do you think that benchmark scores have anything to do with development or are rather a general thing to talk about and compare?
as you you are new to xda i politely remind you, obey forum rules

Benchmark Tests on Legend 2.1 vs 2.2

Hi All,
Updated my missus's Legend to 2.2 today and ran a Quadrant Benchmark test on it..
best of 3 was 903 (avg is about 860)..
What are you getting on 2.1... and what sort of scores are you getting on the custom ROM's out there?
Post your scores stating which ROM you're running..
Clean Eclair, 2.1 = 4XX-5XX
Azure, 2.2 = 8XX-9XX
Cyanogenmod RC2, 2.2.1 = 8XX-9XX
Never benchmark a Sense ROM before so I cannot provide such information.
Best of 3 was 365 on unbranded 2.1 update 1
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
Constantly above 1xxx with CM RC1/RC2 and OC787 kernel...but that's normal since it's overclocked
Sent from my Legend using XDA App
My result was 387 on 2.1 update 1 official Rom

Using a normal 2.1 legend, benchmarked three times... 377, 332 and 361. Even more anxious to get froyo now then!

Fixed....
Sense 2.1 was 3XX (4XX with OC)
However, even going from 3XX to 8XX (CM6.1) I did not see any speed improvements in games. OC DID improve the speed

You cannot get 11XX without OC'ing.

Right I forgot to specify
First run on rooted Sense Froyo was 915. Second run was 870. Third was 927.

I'm sorry Sir, but are you ****ing-kidding-me? With almost stock 2.1 i had ~380. With azure 1.0.x now i have ~460.
I have not programmed anything in android yet, but I know programming java for some years and I think that I can tell you why those spectacular benchmarks doesn't apply in most games.
The improvements have been made in the dalvik virtual machine, which is responsible for executing the java code of the applications.
But if programmes want more performance, they can write part of the program directly in native code, developed in C or C++. This code cannot be optimized (more), thus applicacions using JNI massively don't see any improvement.
I suppose many games should be using JNI because of the advantages in performance, so they're already 'optimized'.
Please, correct me if I'm wrong

I'm sorry Sir, but are you a ****ing kid? Let me try to be as nice as possible here. Do your homework before you bash other people. Go to the respected ROM's thread, or the OC thread and look around for other peoples results. That is the average result. 4XX on Azure? Seriously? Throw your phone to the wall and maybe that'll boost the Quadrant scores.
I'm with you my friend. Some people are just ignorant.

Raja, the avarage Azure scores are 4XX because JIT is actually disabled in that rom, even though the option present and checked.

Actually it is enabled. I asked Ali about it before. But then again that was few months ago, I might be wrong.

Sorry my bad.
Seems like JIT was disabled only until Azure 0.6.
However I can confirm that my Azure 1.0.1 quadrant score was 4XX (which is kind of low...), and as I now have 1095 with CM6.1 I don't think theres a problem with my legend's performance.
Sorry for the newbie question, but.. how do I run a Quadrant Benchmark ?
I know these numbers refer to the performance, and that the 2.2 scores a lot better, but in actual everyday usage - battery life, speed etc. what does this practically mean?

No worries mate. Seriously? The last time I used Azure I got around 8XX. That was version 1.0 I think.

Install Quadrant and run it. Well, technically it is just numbers. But most of the benchmarkers do admit feeling the difference between lower and higher scores. Some say those are placebo effect, but meh. I don't buy that ****.

Coredroid 2.5 kamma 1.9bfs kernal at 1.5ghz
(sorry for my bad english)
Yesterday I root the phone, but I can only SetCPU with lower frequency (768 MHz or 384) and I can not find a program just to turn it up (overclock) ... is there a way?
Moderator, please lock this thread
Uff, not this again.. Quadrant does not give accurate results of ROM's performance. It just does not. Then there are kernels that can "fool" Q to give better results, I mean kernels with different schedulers like BFS (brain **** scheduler). Any comparison between ROMs is pretty much useless when you use Quadrant.

'a user' posted some info on why CoreDroid gives such high benchmark results with OC kernels. Total placebo effects.
@OP You judge a rom by how smoothly it runs for you, lag and stuff. When on earth are you ever going to use your phone to do something with DNA or play a game where the light dims and brightens over and over again. I mean, its fine for just testing and tuning, but real world results are more accurate.
Agree with the above posts. The only thing you can measure with Quadrant is your patience until you get what you expect!
But seriously, benchmarks like nenamark or linpack are far more accurate and represent real performance measurements.I personally run them once in a while to confirm that everything is running ok.

Well, when in SetCpu tap menu, device selection and then autodetect speeds. It will ask for root, give it root rights and check the remember box in superuser's prompt.

ROM & KERNEL Performance discussion for Galaxy S I9000

Hi,
Now a days everyday there is new ROM for Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 released.
It is very difficult for a person to choose one from the list.
So, I started the thread for discussion of ROM & KERNEL Performance, experience, Problems and Troubleshooting advises.
Participate and share your experience for each ROM you use.
Submit your Quadrant Score with ROM & KERNEL Details.
Thanks & Regards,

Doctorz ROM
I am using Doctorz ROM which I found very good and stable with good inbuilt applications
1. What is KERNAL?
2. Why use Quadrant to measure performance?
Sent from my GT-I9000
KERNEL is a bridge between applications and the actual data processing done at the hardware level
Quadrant Standard is used for measuring performance of android mobile.
sry but by using quadrant to verify a rom speed you are disqualifying yourself
i din't say quadrant used to verify rom speed. I told that it is a standard for measuring Android mobile speed. being specific quadrant is benchmark for mobile performance for data writing, reading, 2D, 3D, etc.
I included quadrant in this post as the quadrant scores are different from rom to rom due to its data processing ability.
Quadrant is a random number generator, useless. there are other bench tools around but i dont really care about those tools. as long as my SGS performs for me fast and smooth i dont care about any bench results.
JVT kernels are similar to each other. so suggest Semaphore, Galaxian or TalonDev. me using last one.
JVT rom is up to you and your theme choice. all are fast and smooth. the more its customized the more problems you can get. I use almost stock. all working great and fast even battery life is good.

Quadrant Score

Hi Everybody,
Anybody here has achieved above 5500 results in Quadrant Score?
If have, can you please state the ROM / Kernel / MOD combinations.
Thank You

Yes, my device just scored 6187. Stock LH3, stock kernel LH3, rooted. No other mods.
Note that all 3 quadrant apps from standard to professional will give you different median scores ranging from 5200 on standard to 6300 on professional version.
This makes this app useless crap and explains a lot about some users complaining and others being perfectly happy with their scores.
Waiting for JKay mod on GT-I9300
My score is varied. Ranging from 5000-6000+, dependent on the temperature of phone. To get higher score, you have to wait until your phone cool down. I got around 6000 with Siyah kernel 1.7, AOKP or Ultima Rom, OC to 1.6 Ghz, UV -100Mhz and GPU overclocking as well. With that configuration, I had 13500+ score or antutu benchmark.
I believe that even though there's variant in the score, it does give a ballpark figure of your device capabilities especially if the scores tabulated comes from a significant number of devices of the same make and model. So, as a scientific question I think it is legitimate to ask. You can't compare this to a matter of preference to which act in X-factor that's just insulting.
You don't need to give opinions if they're not constructive.
Because this has been answered multiple times, it has been explained why it is useless multiple times and yet users continue to ask about it multiple times. Search Button, please use it

Lge-e400(optimus l3) best antutu score

Hi guys i'm new in the forum and i'd like to know which is the highest score under antutu.I've noticed that in versions after 3.3 the graphics test is really laggy on our little l3 so i use the 3.3 version. My highest score is 4776 points with a 50% superchargeand and cyanoid kernel(0.4) and cyanoid rom (build 15.4),but i used to reach 5100 points using Iberserks kernel and the standard cyanogenmod nightly.I've even heard about 5200 points with a superoverclocked kernel that reached 1.1 ghz.I will post a screenshot too.
Sent from my LG-E400 using XDA Free mobile app
I hope you know thats antutu score says nothing, you can have a high score and the rom is laggy, even you can have a lower score and your rom runs perfect,so dont choose a rom only why the score is big.ANTUTU SAYS NOTHING.
GREEETZ FROM TEAM-OPTIMA!!!
