XDA Android App and my ZTE Blade - Blade General

How do I get the rather excellent XDA Android App to list my phone as a ZTE Blade? My first post in this forum for this rather wonderful phone us an ask but I'm sure you agree it would be fitting...?

If you are talking about the tag line at the end of your post (the "Sent from..."), the XDA App gives you the option to change the signature to pretty much whatever you please. I believe that the option is under Settings within the XDA App.

Good call, changed it now, all good.
Thanks

I completely agree.

I've got it. It's nice. Definitely worth a buck. It was confusing because it's similar to Tapatalk but doesn't have a widget, but there is an awesome convenient shortcut that shows up under Shortcuts. Being able to favorite nook and fascinate stuff is insanely convenient.
really disappointed by the application, sure some features are interesting. But you don't see what you write on the search bar and the results from the search aren't accurate as for the website directly. Sure it's easy to follow the post you made but really not suitable for searching new threads.

Update for XDA app

Haven't seen another thread for this in vibrant section, and thank you to user draigons for the heads up, XDA app update released today.
Added functionality includes a thanks button, URL copy and post both thread and individual posts as well as auto scrolling.
May have more that I haven't found yet. I personally didn't care for the last update and kept reverting back to last years version of the app but this latest does seem worth using so far.
Thank you xda for listening on this one.

Did the update just came out? It's not showing for me that there's an update available.

The update isn't showing for me either what version is this now?
Seems to have good features
Edit
Had to go into xda app on market manually and it says update so it worked
Search functionality is still useless, but other than that its great.

(Poll) Tapatalk 2 or xda premium [app]

I am going to get one of the apps and I want to know which is easier and more efficient.
Also which has better features?

I bought them both and they don`t differ that much. With tapatalk you can enter different forums and store them all. XDA can only be used for the xda forums afaik.

Solely interested in xda then go for xda app but if varied interest then think about tapatalk.
Not very difficult to choose from

Ya I was going to get tapatalk until I found the xda app and wondered if I was missing out on features, seeing as it's the official app. Thanks for the replies
Tapatalk is better because you can enter to diferents forums but, xda app is the best for this big forum :good:
depends on your usage, if you wanna control various forums from your device the tapatalk is the way. only xda? then xda premium app
They are both inefficient, outdated, battery draining piles of crap; sadly there's no alternative that I know of offering the same kind of features.
If you buy the xda app it monetarily supports this site.

I too own both, but since I also post at Android folrums and they re-enabled tapatalk support, I have to go with Tapatalk. Everything in one window.
I have Tapatalk and don't know about XDA premium. Is there anything XDA premium can do better than Tapatalk?

Not really no. Its made by Tapatalk, but just for XDA. Its tapatalk lite.
The XDA app allows you to see the XDA portal(newspage) and I haven't found a way to do that with tapatalk. From the top menu in the XDA app press more then news. Other than that its what everyone else says, for multiple forums, tapatalk, just for xda, then xda app.

I think XDA Premium app is better for access to XDA, I have both because I prefer to have straight access to XDA which is the only forum I visit often. The XDA app is also good for easy access to the XDA portal, but since changing from a HTC Desire HD to a Samsung Galaxy S3 its easier and much better to use the main website to access the portal.

Tapatalk all the way, since I go to hell out of forums so lol

Shame they don't support Tapatalk HD means I have to have both tapatalks on my iPad!!
Edit: Nevermind works now

By the way, why is it so important to let the whole world know that one is using Tapatalk? I'm referring to the signatures like "sent from ... using ...".
Why do you even need an app you are using the Galaxy SIII man it's pretty much a computer in your pocket and has no issues loading the forum on its stock browser.

It's the default signature, clearly a sneaky tactic by the author to get some free advertising.

How come Zte blade is the only one with a forum? WHAT ABOUT ZTE TUREIS?

Why?
Sent from my Tureis using xda app-developers app
Because Blade is much more widely distributed and doesn't look like a wannabe blackberry.

Hello,
Requests can always be made here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354
It depends on the popularity and how much developer interest there is in a phone for it to be considered for it's own sub forum. Also, Moderators to not create forums, the Admins and MC"s do.

Want a developer....

i have an idea for an app for android (and ios) ... It is very simple and effective app..(Need a little programming and "uploading to google play and itunes skill)...The thing is i dont know anything about programming...so i am in need of a developet...the condition is that profit will be halved...it may already be on market or it may be childish but if it works , it will be very good... I will tell my idea to a senior developer who accepts my condition...please pm me if you are in...

You should just state your idea here man. People can inform you if there is already such an app. And you should describe in more detail. Just saying, good luck

If that was the case that it would take 20 minutes then im sure abit of research and Q's will do the trick!
