Have you tried reversing the polarity?

How do i shot phone?
Try reading some of this first.

Catch bird. Make bird angry. Insert bird in phone. Repeat process.
Angry birds installed.
Cookie.

You can try installing using adb from your computer, or terminal shell from your phone.
Basic adb commands... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517874
Uninstall previous versions... Using root explorer put phone in read/write mode. Then try installing.
Best to learn how to deal with this early. You'll be doing alot of app installs, and some of them will be manual. Hope this helps a little.

1) This thread doesn't belong in the development section. One of the local mods will move it shortly.
2) You need to unmount your SD card before installing angry birds (and a small handful of other apps). I'm not 100% why this is, but I've installed angry birds several times already, and it always requires that step first. Go into settings, then the SD card section, and you'll see the option to unmount it there. Do that, install the game, and then just go back and re-mount it.

You need to unmount the sd card (in settings) before downloading it
if you want it for free get it here: http://www.getjar.com/mobile/43600/angry-birds-for-htc-desire/?f=1
it's the final version and the devs have a deal with getjar. but it's only free today. afterwards it will be in the market and i guess you'd have to pay for.
€dit: gave you the wrong info about why it free. the following quote will explain why:
"Angry Birds Android features mobile advertising. A future update will include the option to purchase and opt out of advertisements."

the market version should be free as well.
Yup, it's amazing! Shame I've had no time to play it!! Had to unmount sd card to play too.
Sent from my HD2 using XDA App
It works perfectly, had no issues yet. Get it from the Market though, everytime I tried from getjar it failed.

Thanks man...installed perfectly when I unmounted it.
Just a note to everyone else with an HD2. You don't have to leave it unmounted to PLAY the game, just install it.
I cannot unmount the sd card - it says unmounting and it stays on that until screen turns off and when a wake the screen up it shows sd card mounted and then again I click to unmount and it simply won't do it... how to get this thing unmounted I have no clue - as my installation goes unsuccessful each time...
have full version , works also with dismounting !

Same for me
Didn't need to unmount the SD to install. Simply downloaded it from the market.
It would not install on mine either, but I placed it the androids apps folder before installing new rom and it installs perfect
I absolutely love this game, had to unmount SD card to actually install the game which is annoying but nothing i can't love with! And best of all, its FREE!
Maybe someone helps this too:
I was unable to install it, neither from marked nor directly by .apk nor by putting it in AndroidApps folder. (last one installed, but crashed on start)
But after flashing a newer WinMob ROM (Artemis v37) the game worked like charm )
Love it. Been waiting a long time for the finished version, and finally...
Unmounted the SD-card, installed it, and works perfect. Best game for Android, in my opinion!
if you cant unmount sdcard to play the birds
1.you have to down load the terminal emulator from market place
2.open it and type "su" and press enter. allow super user access to it (mine kept freezing so i backed out and re started it. You will need to type "su" again and a window should pop up )
3. then if anything was done right you should see a "#" sign were your about to type the next line.
4.then type "mkdir /data/sd" make sure there is a space between the mkdir and the first /.
5.if everything worked right then nothing should happen except it moves to a fresh line in the emulator .
if you did everything right you should be able to go into settings and unmount your sdcard from there.
hope this helps some people i was going insane trying to figure this one out took me about a week to figure it out.
I've got it running flawlessly.
At first it kept giving me an error during download/install, but then I remembered the old "unmount sdcard, install app, remount" trick, and it worked
And the game is made in my country! (Finland)

Application not installed!!!!

I'm using mattcleo leo and its a little bit old but its really great.
So ،a lot of apps that I tried to install were failed.
Is there Any file in the system I can replace to update my build so it will fix that problem??
Thanks in advance
if its apps like angry birds, sky maps etc, its mentioned in just about every roms OP that you need to unmount the sdcard first.
I know that but i'm talking about apps that works on all builds exept mine
such as?????
you ask for help, give us some details...... what rom, what app, what time of day, were you faceing east? how about some thing?
if you want to make your self usefull, load adb on your box and post a logcat of the failure.

[Q] Need n00bie help with NC rooted 1.2

I'm hoping the flamers will be very gentle on me....
I know very little about command prompts and such and have managed to follow the directions to get my NC rooted using the latest manual nooter and even got my market fixed following the directions so all apps show up. I CAN follow directions, just having a hard time wrapping my head around the different acronyms and such.
Anyways, to my point. I can get angry birds and a few other apps to install. Also, whenever I try to install the Amazon appstore I get an error saying only "For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not obtained from Android Market." I have put the checkmark in the advanced setting to allow the apps to be installed but it still won't install. Am I missing something? Is there a guide that makes sense out there and can break it down to me what I'm missing?
I apologize for bother everyone with my n00bness.....
is nookcolor tools in /data/app or /system/app?
from the nookcolor tools thread:
"new! to enable the non-market apps checkbox, you need to copy this apk to /system/app."

Since you asked in the right forum, no flames... You have to uncheck and then check that box in order to enable the installation....
I read in a post somewhere (sorry wasn't paying much attention to which one, because I'm on CM7), that there was problems installing certain apps with the SD card mounted after the 1.2 update and manual nooter.....Just something to check out.

[Q] Issue with Installing Angry Birds on Rooted Nook Color

Hey guys - quick question on Angry Birds (its driving me nuts!)
I just rooted my NC running 1.2. Everything is working fine, except for Angry Birds. When I try to download the app from the android market, the download finishes and then i get a prompt that installation has failed.
Same thing when I try to install via ASTRO - i get an installation failed prompt.
I have tried everything: check and uncheck the 'allow non0market apps', installing with the SD card mounted/unmounted, clearing cache, you name it!
The stupid thing is that I have been able to install rio from the market, but cant install the original and/or the seasons.
HELP!
Temporarily removing the SC card should allow installation.

Tried that as well - doesnt work...
Any help on this? some apps are installing like a charm (dropbox, Angry Birds Rio, Fancy Widgets) while others like Angry Birds (original and Seasons) and Live Holdem Poker Pro are not installing.
Im going crazy trying to figure this out!
See below but for Android market browse to the /data/com.goggle.anroid.app.maps/cache on the SD card and then follow the steps in first and last posts.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070118
I used the ES File Explorer which is free from the Amazon App store.
