[Q] Market Issues - Droid Eris Android Development

I have just rooted and installed kaosfroyo v38 on my Droid Eris. I am using LauncherPro. I was having serious battery life issues until I installed the latest CFS kernel (v9). Since upgrading my kernel, battery is great but the app market is broken. When trying to download and install apps, I get a download unsuccessful error.
I've read and read this and other forums for a fix and can't seem to find any that work. I did find some answers, but they didn't work. I cleared data and cache. I did a dalvik wipe. Did the market fix. Nothing works.
Strangely enough, I can install Verizon apps from the market, no problem. Also, some apps can install fine, like Best Buy. Specifically, I am trying to install "The Best Card Game Ever - Yaniv".
This is my first post, thanks for understanding my noobishness.

Try downloading "Eris Market Fix" from the Market, that's helped me in the past with similar issues.

As I said above, I did the Eris Market Fix. No help.

Have you cleared the Market's cache through Manage Applications? I've been running into the issue recently also. I'm using FroShedYo and that's seemed to work recently. Clear the cache on the Market app, reboot, and try the download again. I've also read where clearing all Google related app's cache helps, like Voice, Talk, etc but I haven't had the need to go that far.

Yep, did all that. Still not working.

I realized this thread is probably in the wrong forum. Sorry. I can't figure out how to delete it.
Again...noob.

I had to wipe the delvik after the fix when that happened a couple roms ago, and it fixed the problem

Yes... after running the market fix, you need to reboot into recovery and do a dalvik wipe. That should help with the issue.

Maybe it's just an apps2sd issue? I'm assuming that v38 + cfsv9 regarding apps2sd is not copacetic. Settings->CyanogenMod settings->Install location. Perhaps your install location is set as automatic or external.

After I recovered to CELB from KGB my market was broken, market fix and cache clearing dalvik and app did nothing... so I beat it into submission, tee hee, uninstalled market and reflashed gapps. Eventually I will have a computer again and will be able to fix things with more grace, but this method doesn't ever fail me.

Market Problem

I have struggled for a couple of days now trying to fix my market problem but still no luck.
When ever I try to update or download an app it gets aborted after just a sec. So I can't update any of my apps or download new ones.
I have tried this already:
Wipe market data both in settings and with SGS tools
Titanium market doctor
Flashed JM8 from scratch with dalvik wipe and factory reset then Doc's 9.6.6 (work on non of fthem
Tried Appbrain (but not fast web installer) nedd an .apk for it)
Don't now what more I could do now
Any ideas? Anyone else having problems the latest days? Maybe a Market problem!?
I'm now on Doc's 9.6.6 with Spedmood K13C 500hz (Got the problem after I tried the 2.3.2 leak).
Reboot recovery and clear dalvik and reboot

Did try several times, no luck
Thats very strange, never heard of this before. I can only suggesst that you try flashing a different ROM like Darkys 9.3 final....Might not be any use
Now I also tried first flash JM8 with 512 and repartition.
And the flash one more time without repartition.
But still no downloads possible on market. "Download unsuccesful"
i got the same problem like 2-3 days now.#
any help pls. I did wipe dalvic, tryd another rom, used another market version , used another gmail account.. and so on.

Had the market download problem accidentally after once rooting my i9k. Tried many ways, clear market and gtalk cache, wipe cache, factory reset, log out google, change password, change account, change sim, root after root, reboot after reboot still no working. Every time I downloaded or upgrade something, there was a download icon shown on notification shortly and disappeared. The download never finished! Reckon some of you encounter this as well.
But last night, I suddenly realised that there may be problems with my cache.rfs as I could not lagfix it to ext4 or any other form. I started to think cache.rfs is broken. So I searched on the Internet and found out a kernel (k12K) only have cache.rfs, instead of zImage. My market has survived right after installation and reboot! Brilliant! Then I install newer version of kernal with zImage and still working. The kernel name is update_SpeedMod_K12k_500Hz.tar. If you have same condition and problem with market, try it! I am not exactly remember where I downloaded this kernel from, and cannot post link cos this is my first post. But hopefully you can find it somewhere.
Good luck to your market!

You are my hero!!! My market works!!!

Bonsai 3.0.1 FC issues despite reflash, redownload. reboot

I realize thatthis may not be the ideal thread location, but I am not allowed to post in the developer forum yet.
I upgraded from Bonsai 3.0.0 (which had a few FC issues on my phone) to Bonsai 3.0.1, which is giving me FC's at least once a minute. The FC happen mainly with Swype, messaging, and several google services that I havnt made a list of just yet. The worst... opening an email in Gmail App causes a FC.
I have reflashed, redownloaded the zip, and rebooted... all multiple times. Anyone share my experience or know of other possible solutions?
Clear your data.
Yeah I have been having that same problem I have cleared everything and it doesn't happen that often but it is definetly annoying it is a shame too cause this is a great rom

3.0.1 fix!
Data wipe worked! I was afraid to do so since the Bonsai install instructions said not to do it. I suggest this be mentioned int he 3.0.1 thread.
Apparently there were some leftovers from 3.0.0.. until the data wipe, I had not seen the bonsai wallpaper or the ROM's launcher.
Possible causes? I dont know, but I had installed TWLauncher over 3.0.0's and had installed a wallpaper from gallery.
PS - thanks for giving me the motivation... apparently I should quit reading instructions.
I had FC issues with the GMail app and clearing the app data fixed it.

NO! That's the last thing you should do! I wish more SRF users read the first posts in the thread...

Horrible market problems

OK so I went from having force closing problems to wifi problems and now it's market problems I'm slowly getting better at this. So when I want to download something on the market it starts, downloads to 10 percent and just stops and I have no idea. This happens almost every 5 or so downloads and I once cleared cache an it worked for just one application and that's it. Thanks for your help guys

[Q] marketplace not working
as of today my android marketplace hasnt worked... i click an app to download and install and it starts the download then the thing just disappears from my notification bar and it never actually installs on my device. ive tried this on several different apps, including some that i have downloaded before but decided to uninstall, yet the problem remains. im running cm7 nighty #35 if thats any help. can anyone explain whats up?
First thing I would try is to clear Market cache by going to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Scroll down to Market, select Force Stop then Clear cache, and try downloading the app again.
yeah i had tried that. but no luck, it didnt work. i guess maybe itll fix itself when i update my rom. i dont know
Drum doesn't work did that already I think it's the rom maybe they will fix it soon...

I was having an issue with it as well (but i'm on cm7, if it makes a diff). I did the clear cache/stop updates method which worked great the first time. Then the issue happened again, i cleared cache and rebooted, worked fine. THEN i had the issue again, (but i noticed it seems to have happened after using the clean feature in sd maid). Removed sd maid, cleared cache, havent had a problem since.

Market Issues

I've been running EI22 since the first OTA day and I now have an interesting issue. I've tried stock, deodexed, and ACS 3.5 and had no issues. But I switched back to the latest deodexed stock rom and now my market won't update. I can't clear the cache or user data in the applications menu either.
Wouldn't be a big deal but it keeps giving me a network error when I try to go to my apps from the market screen.
Anyone know a fix short of reflashing?

Try using Titanium Backup to clear Market data and also in Google Services Framework. Then with 3G on (icon in notification bar) connect to Market (making sure you signed into Gmail the first time). It should connect. If not make sure your ROM didn't delete the SprintAndroidExtensions and Sprint_updater apks.

Thanks kenny. Clearing the data in Titanium Backup worked. Still took a bit of dirty talk and a few ugly looks to get the market to update though.

Market issues!! Please help

I am currently the newest stable version of CM7.1 on my Atrix and starting today I have not been able to install apps. I download the app and when it goes to install android.vending.com forces closes along with market. Any ideas??
P.S. I already cleared app data, wiped cache, rebooted and fixed permissions to no avail.
