multipart file upload - Android Software Development

Hi,
I'am new to Android development. I'am trying to do multipart file upload
program. We are currently using HttpUrlConnection. But I can't upload
files more than about 5 mb. We get Out of memory error even if we use
method setFixedStreamingMode and writing file data in chunks to the
OutputStream.
What is the solution to this ? The phone I use is Android WildFire. On
searching I found reference to the apache http library. But I'am not
getting
a correct download link. If that is the solution, can anybody post the
correct download link.

D9 - error in program ?

Hi
I have just downloaded the 3.17 modified rom from Jeff's kitchen and using the installer file had it successfully installed into my xda. Firstly- thanks to all xda developers and Jeff for an excellent piece of work.
Only one question though- the D9 (single handed dialer program) don't seem to work- when I tap on it at the launcher, phone folder and even the entry in the windows folder, it showed a message:
"Application error- Cannot find extension file pvbDecl.dll Please run setup to restore the file ".
I tried cold booting a few times and the same thing happens.
Is there something I should do to get it running or do I need to redownload the exe file from Jeff's kitchen?
Hope someone could kindly help.
Thanks
Vic
Looks like a problem with that installation, no point in redownloading. Probably if you create a ROM that has PocketCHAT also, all will be well.
Hi XDA Developer,
Thanks for quick reply. Interestingly, I have included the Pocket Chat software in the rom and now that you mentioned it, I tried clicking on it and the same message comes out; asking for the same file pvbDecl.dll and suggesting to run setup again.
Any clues how to work this out?
Cheers
Vic
its a VB app so it needs that dll file. xda-developers just add the file to the package
alex
Hi Alex,
Could you please elaborate a little bit more on what you described?
Where do I get the dll file?
Cheers
Vic
pvbDecl.dll is a part of VB runtime libraries. here is more info and fix http://www.creativelogichome.com/gen_faq.htm

But that page just tells you 're-install' the software causing the problem. It looks like the vb dll wasn't included in the ROM build. I've just used Jeff's ROM kitchen and am getting the same error.
Anyone actually found a copy of the dll and knows 'where to stick it' ??

How to copy file with 'ROM' attribute? (or how to change that file attribute?)

Hello,
I am trying to copy a file (from my smartphone to SD card), which have a 'ROM' attribute set and... it is impossible - acces denied is showed (even in Resco Explorer, Total Commander). I can't even change that attribute.
Please help me to find any solution
Best greetings,
RA
You should be able to extract files from the ROM file on your PC thanks to the tools provided in one of the sticky about ROMs modifications.
Unfortunatelly...

I have extracted an 'nb' file from my ROM file, but WinImage can't open it ("not FAT16, FAT32 file"). It is WM6 image file, what tools to open this 'nb' file?
Best greetings,
RA
I, too, am trying to find a way to copy some ROM attributed files.
Ultimately, I am trying to move/copy some apps from one smartphone (WM5) to another (WM6). Is there a way to copy them to a zip file and move the files that way or maybe even using a backup copy (i.e. using Sprite Backup?) and restoring to a different phone?
Any help or direction would be appreciated. If there is another thread out there, please be sure to point me to it since searching brings up a lot of different threads.
u need to extract the rom.
Funny, but you make it sound so easy... ;-) I've been searching to figure out how to do that and found some instructions I'm hoping I can follow for the one phone, but not sure it it will apply to the old phone (WM5). If I do manage to dump the ROM, where does it go and does it extract the files in cab format for easy upload?
Update: I found a file extractor at http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/56057-6700-rom-dump.html which may have originally come from Buzz... (thanks Buzz!)? so now I have all the files and modules off the old phone, but am running into some issues installing. I can transfer the files indirectly, and can find the specific application file, but when trying to run the app, it tells me that it's still missing files to enable the program. Any ideas on how to determine which files they might be or how to install the files via Activesync?

[Q] I cant see my file on windows

i cant see files on my Pc that are downloaded with loaderdroid that include app, rar and mp4 . how can i fix it ?
sorry for my bad english
Are you saying you have downloaded files to your pc and you can't find them? Or you downloaded files to your N7 and can't find them? You can search either device for a file name you are looking for.
