Quadrant, NeoCore and Linpack Scores - Bravo General

I ran these apps to see what this device was capable of and I'm impressed. I know scores isn't everything but the device has a very good built quality. It runs very quick and smooth. I was not expecting this when I bought it for my younger brother. It doesn't feel like you are using a Mid-Range phone as it's categorized as.

I have been saying this since before it was released. This phone has the same TI OMAP 3630 as the droid 2 and droid x just clocked at 800MHz instead of 1GHz. I think it's even the same screen as the droid 2.

I think it is the same screen. This phone is definitely going to be underestimated. If Motorola ever updates it to 2.2 it will be a contender against all current high end phones. Can some devs look into overclocking or making a recovery file for this phone.

I scored a 17.25 and 1443 on quadrant. Running Bravo at 1200/300 63sel ondemand. The phone will lockup if you run it at 1200 performance with no min and stock sel. FYI

Are you running 2.1 or 2.2? I've gotten 1609 with 1.5GHz on 2.2

2.2 What did you use to get the core to 1.5?

Woops...I have a feeling I made a typo... I think it was either 1.05GHz or 1.1GHz. But I don't really remember. I highly doubt it was 1.5GHz tho.

I have run at 1.05GHz stable so it was probably close to that area.

Managed to squeeze out 16.657 on Linpack @1200 MHz

I take that back, I got 19.679 MFLOPS with the newest version of Linpack.
1.2ghz @ 62 vsel.

Bout average. Not to shabby. I'll take it. I have seen them all the way to 3000 but that's not the best measurement tool. The incredible is an extremely qwik phone.

I've seen 3600 on an hd2. So here's what quadrants mean.
Absolutely nothing. I used to be able to get an 1800 pretty often I now only get 1100 to 1200 yet my phones 45799 times smoother now.

No. 3600 on the HD2 is fake. The HD2 has the same specs as the Nexus One and our phone. Impossible.
The Desire HD however, which the Thunderbolt is based on legitimately gets about 3100 on quadrant with its processor overclocked.
I think the hd2 gets them onlh if it's a windows one running android on nand it could be faked but I heard that explanation

Retested with latest cm7 gb rom and got 1300.

1280 on Virtuous 3.2! Quadrant's cool I've been told Smartbench 2010 is better but disagree as I get HORRID scores in that app.
Did it a few more times highest at 1380! :O
my friend just got a mytouch4g and out of the box his score was in the 1700's. I always get in the 1300 or less range on SR3.5 with lou #8.

Quadrant Benchmark for Galaxy Note - 4308 (and probably higher)

Perhaps the Quadrant Utility tool for Benchmarking needs an upgrade - the screen size is too large yet the speed test (FPS) is hidden under the screen's bottom partly.
The note must be pretty quick!
Anyways - I scored a benchmark of 4013! This was achieved after ensuring that task manager had all apps exited and memory cleared.
Update: On my third benchmark in a row I got 4308. You may check my blogs later today as I upload all the performance images.
the note is pretty good. samsung did a good job of optimising the drivers, and the GPU is surprisingly more powerful than my atrix despite the higher resolution.
Quadrant doesn't need an upgrade - it needs throwing in the bin!
It's a deeply flawed benchmark that tells you pretty much nothing about the overall performance of your device.
Regards,
Dave
I got a score of 4600 using an Interactive governor on a kernel I rolled. This makes it awesomely faster than my paltry Nexus One . Shame Quadrant is pretty meaningless as a cross-device benchmark though....

AnTuTu maybe?
Got an awesome 4395! I'm amazed by the phone's performance on Benchmarks, yet I find it just as fast as my HTC sensation on the usual day to day usage. hope updates will improve speed!

even though i posted this(my nexus s), our phones cant handle 1.7ghz too well. most would never be able to boot it. that said, our phones are faster at 1.32 or 1.44ghz than those phones are at 1.7ghz.

Why is that? I was always under the impression that the two phones are pretty much the same.
You without me is like Harold Melvin without the Blue Notes...
Its impossible for most phones to boot to 1.7 ghz. Most phones max out at 1.44 or 1.544 ghz. Even the Glitch kernel page for Galaxy S states that 1.7 ghz is extremely unstable and will fail for most phones.
Well on fascinate it was running well at 1.7 ghz even though 20 min later it crash on me

The phone even works Perfect with 1Ghz, i dont understand why are we even talking about 1.7
The risk of hardware damage is very high, the phone would easily break down

Oppo Find 5 Benchmarks

Stock Kernel and Rom it looks, like the S4Pro is not far behind the 600? Just a little GPU enhancement - overclock and it would easily match the 22350 by the HTC One and not far behind Galaxy S4 either.

1st post on XDA and highest bench thus far.. well played sir
That inst mine I just saw it while I was looking at buying the phone awhile ago, I saw them as high as 22500 I think on AndroiAuthority or on a similar website. I get my Find 5 today and whatever, I'm going to push it to the limits every once in awhile, gaming benching etc. I want to do the same as I have my DNA. Mu CPU up to 1892 at 4 cores and 100 or 125 overclock GPU. I'm getting HTC One and close to the S4 Octa scores with it overclocked. These s4Pro's will go and they overclock well. On the CPU side I really don't see any reason to get much higher, I think most quad core phones now will run pretty much all the Apps that are out, But I would like to get the GPU up to where the Snapdragon 600 is running, I think the S4Pro is at 300 MHz and the 600 is clocked at 400MHz. So it shouldn't be to hard, they did it on the DNA pretty quick. Cant wait until DHL gets here, watch it will be like 6 0r 7pm. Oh well. I will just get all my Apps ready.
So do you guys have any tips before I start playing around with my OF5?
Please! No dead pixels or hardware faults
I'm getting just under 21k (20997) on stock ROM. I've seen Oppo Find 5's with 27k, so with the right tweaks this thing is a beast and just under the S4.
I got 22k with firefly and i think this is just awesome

The quadrant score is definitely higher than my S4 octa (13K) but lower than my antutu (32K). No overclocking, just using stock kernel. That being said, with 4.2.2 on my One, there is definite overall improvement especially in terms of GPU performance.
I think the octa score is due to the powervr its just way more optimized then the adreno.

Ohhh.. I thought it was a Mali GPU? If you're correct then yeah! PowerVR can already be considered a veteran when it comes to mobile GPU. It was the first ever mobile GPU in a phone. It was used in the phones nokia n95 & n82 in the year 2007-2008
