I also have a focus with a sony ericsson BT and it is working fine for me. Actually, much better than it did on my TP2. The voice integration is really good too. The one thing I noticed that it doesn't do is on my headset is show the name of the song on the oled.

Correction, I am able to pause and play but unable to switch tracks or fast forward or rewind.
Also to note this really pissed me off, A2DP does not work when watching videos.
It only streams when listening to music only.
I tried watching youtube videos, videos synced through zune, no luck so far.

Roger that. I knew that WinMoPho was not going to play video over bt and I am ok with that. Most of the time it lags so bad, its like watching an old kung-fu movie.

I have Motorola S9-HD and all works fine.. :-D

MP3 Playback on Kaiser

Hi,
I was hoping for a little advice from someone who has the Vario III. I am on T-mobile in the Uk and I am currently thinking of getting shut of my N95 and getting one of these. I primarily want a smartphone that has good music playback facilites as well as a good web browsing phone. The N95 can play Mp3's through headphones but the quality is noticebally not as good as on my Ipod.
Is the Vario III a good music player , it seems to have a high spec in all other areas. Also do you use the built in MP3 player or is there a better third party app that can play them. What's the battery life like when just playing back music and what is currently the largest memory card it takes.
Lastly, am I right in assuming the Vario III is the same as the Kaiser? Is it just rebranding?
Thanks for any help!
The Kaiser/TyTn II/Vario III/whatever else they want to call it has pretty decent audio out.
I personally use a stereo bluetooth headset for listening to music which is damn near perfect.
The hands free kit that comes with it has... well... what you expect from a hands free kit - fairly bad audio reproduction.
I haven't tried many of the audio adapters found in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332164 thread but I'm thinking of buying one of them for when I connect it up to an external source.
Hope this helps..
I find the audio on the Kaiser to be excellent - a definate improvement over my old Blue Angel.
For example, when I have TomTom going as well as music, the voice directions mix in perfectly with the music - no crackles, no distortion etc. In fact, at times we miss the directions cause they mix in so well we think it is part of the song
I use Pocket Player as it plays WMA and has a much better interface than windows media player - all the functions can be controlled by keys, plus you do not need to make playlists, it will auto scan the tags and build a database from that.

Routing sound from video through bluetooth headset/headphones, help

Looking to route the sound coming from video files through bluetooth, i have sound from music going through just fine, but i can have it playing music then open a video file in the same program and it'll stop playing through the headphones and play through the speaker, the program i use doesn't matter, does this for everything, i've searched the forums and just the internet in general on a way to get this working and all i can find it things on how to route music, does anyone know a way to get this working? thank you
Been awhile, does anyone have any ideas on this?
Just use TCPMP (freeware media player). I'm watching Red Dwarf with it and the audio's going right to my bluetooth headphones. You'll want to get the codec pack so it'll be able to play many more formats than it already can.
I had problems with skipping when watching videos in tcpmp while using a2dp. I tried coreplayer, and it worked perfectly - well worth splashing out for!
I'll give it a try tonight, not sure if i tried that one yet or not, thanks for the suggestion
Yeah same situation, i have no idea why why it refuses to run sound from video through bluetooth, when music will work fine
did you do anything special to get this working, or was it just working already?
I didnt do anything special. I'm using sony DR-BT30Q headphones, and I just paired them, press play on the headphones to activate the a2dp service, and the headphone symbol appears on the screen. Its all operational from that point.
post deleted
Nuts, what happens on mine is i'll set it up to play through the headphones, sometimes play a song or something to verify the sound is going through the headphones, then i'll load up a video, and there will be a click in my headphones and then sound starts coming through the phone speaker, and for everything until i pair them up again.
maybe i need to get some new headphones or something!
Is it possible its just a problem with my rom?
i use pdacorner version..6 i think due to my crazy battery drain problems with any newer ones than that, maybe i'll try swapping out a new rom and see if it helps at all, honestly have never tried it.
I have never had any problem on any rom, and have tried about 5 or 6 over the last year. At the moment I am very happy with crc's stable roms, and have no a2dp problems with it.

[Q] Bluetooth Headset & Playing Video

Heyho,
I noticed a really annoying problem the other day when I was watching an episode of The Mentalist on the bus.
First of all a list of what I used when the problem occured
- X1i flashed with Itje's Touch-IT Xperience 3.01.
- Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 Bluetooth headset
- A 230mb 45-minute 800x480 h.264 video file, packed in an mp4 at 500kb/s.
The problem that occured is that when my bluetooth headset was connected (and playing the audio), the video would lag like hell, e.g. 1 fps or less.
When I disconnected the bluetooth headset and used my wired 3.5mm jack headset, there was not a problem at all!
How do I fix this!?
the same thing happens when i use my hbh-ds980 for watching videos..
what i did to resolve this issue was to use the Super video convertor by eRightSoft (freeware) and convert my videos to MP4 with the "Hi Quality" and "Top Quality" boxes checked in the Video options. so even if i convert videos at 23 fps at 800x480 resolution, video and audio play smoothly through A2DP.
Happens to me too, I use the Motorola SoundPilot S705 and with bluetooth headsets the video lags, while with wired headset quite smooth.
I watch Divx video encoded for PC playback with coreplayer...
update:
Does this has anything to do with the issue? the bluetooth audio bitpool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3024995&postcount=7
i will try tonight when i get home.
I will test those advanced config settings and see what it does.
Sounds fine now, but doesn't fix my problem. Who can tell me more?

What is "Fine" now? better sound? did you reduce o increase the bitpool?
I increased the bitpool and I feel the sound is better, less crackly. Still, it's not the answer to my prying question.
Hallo,
I have the same problem after download norti roms nX1i v1.03 and 1.03 Did you solve it?

Nope, haven't found a fix yet. It's still too slow. Nobody had an answer..
did you ever figure this out?
i just bought a bluetooth headset (jabra bt3030) and i thought id give it a try with my x1a running the orignal rom, software version r1aa021 / customization version R2A.
As for my experience, i dont have any video lag using dvd movies converted at 640x320 768kbps/64 kbps audio and other videos converted at 480 x 320 500kbps/64 kpbs audio. movies were converted using super and also nero recode 2 and played using the media player and also the panel media player.
the only problem i have encountered once in while when starting a movie is the audio would be out of sync. the remedy that i found out for this is to pause the video and then push play again, then everything audio and video is synched up. i think it has more to do with the bluetooth, phone or headset, i dont know which but i figure this because when i start my movie, the movie starts before my bluetooth headset would like click on and start to play the audio.
i see you are using a customized rom, do you think that could be part of the problem? too high of a resolution? i didnt notice much of resolution difference between video converted at 800 x 400 and 640 x 320, 480 x ??? at the same kpbs. then again im not a big hd buff and my eyes arent as sharp as others. the smaller resolution played just as well in full screen mode. i think nero recode 2 does a pretty good job at converting videos, a lot quicker than using super and i got nero free with the cheap dvd writer i bought.
hope you got it figured out but if not, hope this helps others.
im using Nokia BH-503 stereoheadset im not having problems regarding to bluetooth and lags.
im using windows media player and of course i convert the video files to smaller resolution like 480x260.
also tried playing 800x600 but acceptable lags like every 15mins lags for lessthan 1 secs with bluetooth headset.
also try to end background task in your phone like antivirus, skype, etc... it might affect the performance of your phone.
U can use Core Player and there is an option to adjust the time synchronization between video and audio.
I've had these problems whilst playing x264 encoded files. I think that they just suck too much CPU power. It's not that the video and audio desynced or anything. It just had a really low fps! (like 3~4)

NO audio while watching Video over bluetooth

Hi,
so I always have my bluetooth headphone on for listening to music. Sometime when I want to watch a youtube clip or any other video, I hear no audio in my bluetooth headphone. You can hear the sound via the speaker but no the bluetooth headset. I thought an software update probably would fix the issue, but now that I have mango update, even then it doesn't work. Is it my handset or is it this phone??
Thanks
Bikram
Me too!
My Samsung Focus with Mango also plays the audio through the internal speaker when connected via Bluetooth. It plays the audio from music and voice navigation through Bluetooth. Wuz up wit dat?
Come on!!! no body?!!
MS' WP7 implamentation of blueooth is horrible! If they dont get all the protocols like Apple and Android have had for years, WP7 will remain the laughing stock of other mobile OS users.
Seriously MS, you screwed up Bluetooth, FIX IT ASAP as you have had well over 20 months.
Video and bluetooth
having waited for this since I got my HD7 a year ago, i agree.. this is INCREDIBLE, Microsoft... how can you let us down like this again?
We supported you, we waited patiently for Mango - and then STILL no way to watch videos on planes/trains via Bluetooth...

[Q] LG G2 Bluetooth PROBLEM please help.,

I have a toyota Camry 2011 which has a bluetooth system. No entue, just bluetooth. When I connect to it with both call and media audio enabled. DIsplay says streaming audio and immediately starts playing Lg Music app. Now if I switch to spotify or pandora, my car immediately pauses the music and then won't let me play spottify or pandora audio. I need help. I love this phone but I can't seem to get this work. I love streaming music.
Its almost as if Toyota keeps trying to connect to Lg Music app despite stitching to pandora. This used to work when I had and SG3. In that I could switch to pandora and no problems. I think the problem is that as soon as bluetooth connects LG Music app starts playing but I don't want it to.
If you're rooted, you can always freeze that app. I wouldn't delete it in case it's tied to something else. You could also try deleting all of the songs that are in LG music.

I second [email protected] Can you disable lg music in apps? If not, root and freeze it.

I don't want to get off topic, but you're right. This is the real problem. You can see it whenever engineers with "just show up" degrees are tasked with anything. The idea is a result of just getting something to work in order to pass a QA check. QA will typically have a couple of scenarios to run through and if the code makes it through the scenario, it's considered gold. No effort is extended to actually understand the context of the code being written, or the spec being written to.
If everything was written per the specification, there would be no interop problems... But writing a complete implementation might cost a bit more, so eff it.
I actually have a similar problem with my new LG G2 and 2010 Camry.
I can pair it as a phone device, but not properly as an BT audio device. It pairs as a phone and makes calls just fine, but as soon as I try to set it up as an audio player, the phone all of a sudden can't find the car's bluetooth. BUT it will still play audio through the car stereo with apps like Pandora, however, I have zero control capabilities from the car and it playback will stay connected. Stereo just says "No devices found".
I also came from a S3 and it worked fine as a phone and audio player with this car. Seems like the new phone doesn't mesh well with the stereo?
The audio quality of the G2 over a2dp is horrible just like the two phones by LG before it, not sure what the deal is
OP have you found a fix for this? Just disabling the stock Music Player?
Is any news or solutions?
The A2DP audio is great. Enable Apt-X? There is a prop trigger. This phone IS Apt-X capable, confirmed through logcat. Research before you down a product. Different paired products will always behave differently.
I have the same problem in my 2012 FJ Cruiser except Poweramp automatically starts even though the BT settings are set not to. Anything else pauses after 2 seconds.

True, but "there is an app for that".
Modified Spotify client with included TrackID fix. I use it in my VW Golf with my LG G2.
Use the latest version in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44108915#post44108915
I still couldn't find any solutions until now. Could you?
ask your audio manufacturer to update software, unless its old bluetooth and thus not feature supporting.

LG G2, stock 4.2.2 and Toyota Avensis 2011 -
Google Music - ok + track info;
LG stock player - ok + track info;
Rdio - ok - no track info;
Spotify - no sound, no track info (steer buttons ok - play, pause).
